I was at the pickup location at 7:30am just as scheduled. I attempted to use the "start" button that was emailed to me but was unsuccessful. I then contacted customer service which wasn't any better. I explained my situation to the customer service rep but was transferred back to the initial recording. Thankfully an actual employer arrived at the facility after 8am who was able to help

It was pouring rain. The amount of gas they put on the sheet was incorrect. They said it was full. When I got in, it was half full. I had to go back inside through the rain. It took over 30 minutes for them to rectify the situation. Facility itself was clean and new.

I had trouble two times with the truck door not coming down and getting jammed, the first time I had to call for service someone came out and fixed the problem. Than it happened again when I went to drop off the furniture I had to get a family member to try to get the door down. With that being said, Uhaul never discounted me for having trouble with the truck door and never called back to see if everything was alright. A complaint will be filed..

I TRIED TO CALL FOR 2 DAYS AND COULD NEVER GET ANYONE TO PICK UP THE CALL. WOULD RING 15 TIMES OR SO THEN GO BUSY. VERY MUCH A PAIN IN THE ASS NOT BEING ABLE TO GET SOMEONE ON THE PHONE! I HAD TO WAIT TILL THE SLIDELL LOCATION CALLED ME TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS. THEY WERE AWESOME AT THE GAUSE LOCATION IN SLIDELL. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

First of all they said the truck was $19.99 I asked what additional charges there were and I was told the only one was $.79 per mile driven. Upon returning the truck ( within the 24 hour timeframe) apparently I did not put the exact amount of gas back in the truck so I was charged $14 for 28 miles of gas ( keep in mind I did refill some of the tank). She actually suggested that I go drive the truck 5 miles to fill it up and drive it back 5 miles even though she couldn't tell me how much gas needed to go in it and I would be charged for an additional 10 miles. I was also charged a one dollar environmental fee then I was told they would not except my money, I could only pay them with a credit card. As they are a storage unit place I proceeded to ask about the storage unit and if they excepted cash for their storage units instead of answering me on what I was inquiring about she began screaming at me that they are two different companies. (I need a storage unit but I guess I'm not going there). After I gave her my credit card (instead of the one it was originally held under I signed some paperwork and she got up and walked away. We continue to sit there for a few minutes, at which point I "politely as possible" raised my voice across the room to her and asked "are we finished" and she replied with attitude, "yes" never even turning around to look at us. This was the most horrible experience I have ever had with any moving company, I am a 41-year-old female and I have purchased several homes. The way this woman acted was completely and totally uncalled for and disrespectful, I will never visit, purchase, rent or use anything from Elmwood storage units. I would strongly suggest that no one tried to rent a U-Haul from them as their excuse to everything is I don't know this isn't U-Haul or I don't know I don't work for you all well that's a U-Haul's fault nothing like passing the blame, it was pitiful.

I just replied to a another survey with U-Haul asking me to rate my overall service with my recent rental. The truck was clean and served my purpose. However I am contesting the $15.40 fuel charge for 4.4 gallons of gas used to drive only 3 miles. Either your trucks only get one mile to the gallon, or the billing is incorrect. Either way, the charge is excessive and I am requesting a review of the bill and a credit to my card.

I have been trying since 2pm yesterday to reach someone at location and each time phone rings and rings or is busy. I have contacted uhaul corporate and they had same result and they have also not given me any return call or courtesy update. I am a very dissatisfied customer as these keys are relevant to my livelihood and I'm at the mercy of people who are unresponsive or unreachable. Extremely poor service

Having rented from Uhaul several times over the past few years, I must say it is annoying to have the bag of moving blankets and the dolly permanently mounted in the back of the truck. The staff in the office were kind enough to let me remove the dolly and leave it at the office for no charge; but there was nothing they could do about the bag of moving blankets. I completely understand the idea behind the up-sell in the truck, but they do take up a good bit of space in the back, that I am paying for but unable to use. Had I not had the option of removing the dolly, I would have seriously considered not using uhaul in the future.
