They were great, however U-Haul told me that I could drop off my truck at any U-Haul location which was not the case as I had to try 3 different locations that were all 'full'. Very frustrating after a full day of moving and after being told it wasn't necessary, or possible to secure a drop off location. However where I ended up dropping off the truck was fine.

Have the truck ready when the reservation is for. Have someone on site to talk to about U-haul rentals. Teach them to use the computer system. Try to avoid taking 2 hours to check out a truck that is only being rented for an hour and a half.

Online checkin The field to enter mileage at the end was broken. It kept inserting decimals I didn't want and refusing to accept the digit zero. (Was trying to enter 17080, it wouldn't accept the first zero and kept adding decimals after the 17). Eventually got it to work by adding extra nonzero digits and then scrolling back and deleting them. Pain in the butt, took a few minutes to figure out. Online checkout: it was weird being asked for an alternate contact as a reference. Why did you need to call my wife to verify the rental? Never had that renting a vehicle ever before.

This was not the location I dropped the truck off at. I dropped it at Big Bear Food Mart on Aberdeen Ave. The employee there physically assaulted me and tried to stop from leaving the truck there. I was very close to calling the police on him for assaulting me. I would highly suggest this employee not offer his store as a uhaul drop off if he doesn't want people to leave their uhaul rentals there.

I booked the pickup for 830. I was there at 830. The "person" who does the uhaul was not there. The only staff on location was not able/trained to do the uhaul. I stood around for 20 mins until that person showed up at 850. Once he did show up they got me in the truck and on the road quickly but I was not happy waiting 20 mins past my pickup time.

Mileage on invoice was not the same as the mileage in truck. Fellow marked it on the invoice by hand but could not change in system . We ended up having to pay approx an extra $25 as we were supposedly over the mileage by several hundred km which was impossible. We drive truck straight from pick up location to apartment ten km away then drove right home 200km then right back to drop off. Compared to invoice it looked like it was 200+ over but it was originality the wrong mileage retired on invoice. So make sure your mileage on invoice vs the true mileage is correct. And somehow get two copies so you have proof as we handed in invoice at drop off and didn't think to keep a copy for proof.

Fill truck since you charge 1.52 cents per litre no reason the Renter should have to find gas since truck was on 1/8 of a tank when I picked it up. Sweep and remove previous renters food wrappers. Since you charge 25.00 to clean it. Wow charge for stuff but just put the money in your bank and don't do your job. The u haul associate was not even there to answer any questions. The convenience store employee was only one there at 9am. Overall don't recommend store on queen and Duke st in Hamilton Ontario to rent a truck from. Budget for me next time I need a truck.

This was not my original rental location. I had to go to this location after finding out that the truck I reserved was not available at the time of pick up. It was very inconvenient. Thankfully, this location had the same size truck available.

When I arrived at the store they had to call the "U-Haul guy" to come down. I had to wait 15 minutes. They check-in then took about 10 minutes because the guy didn't know what he was doing. The truck was also not clean and I had to pull the key in and out several times before it would start. Terrible experience at this location.

The original location for the drop-off truck did not exist and it was very difficult and annoying to find another location to drop off the truck, especially before the required time.

This is a variety store that poses as a UHaul store. When I arrived to pick up my truck, it was parked behind another truck in an alley behind the store, blocked in. I had to go back in the store and get the keys for the truck blocking me and move the other truck myself to get my truck out. The tires on my truck were practically bald. After unloading our furniture at our destination we had to shovel gravel under the tires to get any friction on a driveway with maybe a half inch of snow and a 2% grade. Finally when we went to drop our truck back off at the variety store and tried to use the Uhaul online checkout it kicked me out several times so I finally gave up. I called the phone number twice (at 430PM) and got an answering machine and no call back. The next time I will go to a real Uhaul outlet with real customer service reps. And get a truck with decent tires.

Truck was left on empty, the guy that gave us the keys knew this and said we should go fill it up. The light was on so we had to go get gas before even starting the move. Pretty shocking customer service. The tank should at least be at ?-¼ so the customer doesn’t have to fill it up before even starting the journey. The vehicle still had leftover soda cans from the last person that used it. Again the guy giving us the car would have seen this. The guy gave us no instructions on what to expect when we came back to drop off the truck - didn’t tell us where to park etc. When we get back to the store he isn’t even there so we have to ask the store clerk to call up the guy so we can inquire about the drop off procedure. We were also supposed to get a credit for filling the tank and there was no word from him on this. Overall very bad experience and I would not recommend that location to anyone.

My pick up experience was a BLOODY NIGHTMARE!!!! my moving truck was supposed to be at the U-Haul storage office where my U-Haul rental unit was, and no one notify me that there was no moving truck for that Saturday for that week, which I was told there would be...thank goodness my friends who have dealt with U-Haul in the pass told me about the VERY VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE they experience. so i did my due diligence and phoned the origin of my U-Haul rental unit/office and they told me my truck is not here for the Saturday of my move which was supposed to be!...this would be nice and convenient for me...BUT?? My moving truck was 15mins away for me to pick up (all right then?) i phoned 2 days before i moved and my moving truck is now downtown Hamilton at 180 Queen St South (NO ONE NOTIFY ME!!! AGAIN!!!)...i asked if they could send someone to pick it up and drop it off at the origin of my rental unit, and they said no...i replied this is a mileage scam because i have to drive it back to my "U-Haul rental unit" that is 45 minutes away, so then the customer service rep said we will add x number of free mileage to your rental truck. So overall experience??? i spoke to about 10 different service reps and accts??-> Why?? Just to get things straighten “TO WHERE IS MY BLOODY RENTAL TRUCK” in Hamilton...this was a long week nightmare i also told the customer service reps to stop emailing me and call my cell for easy & quick solutions, which they agree!!!....and nope still got emails "U-Haul" is a brand name known to tons of people with no or minor competition and they gotten lazy and complacent... oh well
