I initiated the "scan and go," on-line feature but, in the end, still moved to the traditional manner of checking out. That was due, in part, to some confusion with the scan and go procedure. I was directed, for example, to scan "the label," but I wasn't certain what label it was that needed scanned. The staff who did check me in and out was courteous and competent -- and for that, I was appreciative.CHARLES M.

Owner's where not to friendly when they find out that I didn't complete my reservation * my driver license information only * when I reserved the van online I didn't see anything about my driver license, when I was done all I saw was checking today so I thought that was for the day I pick up the van, no big deal it took me 3 minutes at the store to do so, I didn't like how smart they were with me like I should have known, when I bring the van back in the evening, I couldn't share my location for drop off and that cost me $20, even so I fallowed all instructions online and allowed safari to share with u-haul, anyway I'll not ever return to that location again, nothing against u-haul, I had a better experience a few years back when I rent from oak ridge drive near sheetsFrederic B.
I actually have used a different location in the past and chose this one accidentally but it worked out for the best. The gentelman at the counter was extremely helpful both at pickup and dropoff. He went out of his way to help! Its also a smaller and more convenient location and they had what I needed on short notice. I'll defintely use this location in the future! Thank you.Janet G.
I didn't appreciate getting a text way after I had driven off with the van I rented saying that before I left I needed to check the van for damage and fill out more information. Once I got to where I was going I checked for damage and saw so many stickers on previous damage that did not show up on the pictures sent to me that were supposed to be the vehicle I was renting. I had poor reception where I was and the pictures weren't uploading and finally everything timed out and my link expired. I had to wait 11 minutes on hold to talk to someone only to be told that I had to call another number. Meanwhile the van was filled up and needed to be driven to another location. I was moving. I really did not have time to deal with Customer Service numbers with that kind of wait time. Once I got to my second location I again waited 12 minute on hold to talk to someone. I picked up the van in person and I don't know why an in person inspection wasn't done. None of this has ever happened to me at another local U-Haul location before and I will be using that location for any future U-Haul rentals. I have given a rating of average because this one thing took hours to remedy on a day that I paid good money for equipment to get a job done that was slowed down because of these issues. The problem was the place I rented the truck from. They were nice that was not the problem. I wanted protection incase I got stuck in the snow. It was supposed to snow and did alot that day and I didnt want to take any chances. The guy when I was picking up agreed with me. When I got stuck and called roadside I was told I didnt have the protection?!?!?! Roadside explains that I got the wrong one. I called the place I rented the truck from and talked to the man. He told me he didn't know there was a diffrent protection?!?!?! That he thought the one he gave me covered towes and if it dosent he guesses I would have to pay out of pocket!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pissed but what am I going to do!!!!! I paid $175 out of pocket OUT OF MY RENT MONEY! when I was supposed to have protection for getting stuck in the snow! Now because the employee didnt know what he was doing i cant pay rent. I need to be refunded the $175 this was not my fault!!! And we had a problem with returning the truck. The online thing took all the info then when I got home it said I still had the truck like it never did all the pictures and whatnot. I could not go bad the roads where so bad because of all the snow and ice. I had already got the uahul stuck I couldn't get my car stuck too. I know the weather is uncontrollable that is why I wanted the protection incase we got stuck and I wasn't give it by fault of the place I picked up the truck not knowing the right thing to give me.patrishia O.

My order was switched to the online pick up when I selected an in store pick up so that I could get help picking up the truck since I had never rented a uhaul before. The app used to pick up the truck did not work correctly. The counter person just about argued with me that there was no dolly on the order when I knew I had ordered it. Told me he didn't have anymore but when he re read the order he magically came up with one. The fuel gage was at 3/4 of the way full but I was told to fill up the tank when I brought it back so I did not to have any issues. All in all, it was a poor experience. I will second guess renting a uhaul again.Joanna W.

When I was returning the truck, some guy who was working in the shop started yelling at me telling me that I just hit another uhaul truck. He said JUST GET OUT AND GIVE ME THE KEYS! I got out and walked around the truck only to find out that I did NOT hit the truck! The way he talked to me was very unacceptable, rude and disgusting! Especially because I was accused of something I didn't do. Once I saw that I did not hit it, I found the guy and said come look at the truck. I did not hit it. He saw it and said Ok yea u didn't but u came close. SO THEN WHY YELL AT ME TELLING ME THAT I HIT IT?!?!! It was so rude. He didn't even apologize to me. He deserves to be demoted or fired for being so rude to a paying customer!!!! I will NEVER use this location again!!Serena H.

What should have been a quick and easy process using a Smart Phone, was spoiled by the truck meant for us being held too long by the previous renter. We ended up having to rent a smaller truck that was already on site.Frank P.
This comment does not pertain to the location, but rather the system for communication with the customer via text. When I made my rental my paper contract indicated the drop-off location. I also received a text for dropping it off at that location, which had a link to complete the check-in process. I received no further direction on where to drop off the truck via text, phone or email. However, upon returning the truck to that location I was told that my drop-off location had changed. My issue is that I had never received any instruction about this until the employee at that location told me they didn't expect my drop-off. When I clicked on the link in the text that instructed me to drop off at the first location, the system had updated to the new address. So I had no trouble checking the truck in. So the system knew where I needed to go, but never communicated that change to me. I could see that as being very frustrating for customers doing an after hours drop-off.William E.
