The trailer lights did not work, when it was realized they were not working and we pulled over it was found that the wires had been cut. We had to fix them right there because my mother had, had a stroke and we needed to get to our destination. About an hour later not only did we get a flat, but the tire literally blew to pieces. Waited over an hour for road side and the guy told us the tire was bad and old along with the others as well and they were in poor condition. So sad that UHaul is not taking care of their equipment.

They skipped over an alternate plan that could have saved me money by dropping the truck off at a different location, but when I inquired about what my original charge would be vs. the new charge, he just said "I've never seen this" and clicked through. Since I didn't know what my original charge was, I didn't know what the savings would have been. Turns out it would have been 40 bucks! And I surely would have taken him up on it. Also, he explained the gas charge per gallon, but not the 30 dollar charge if you returned it with less than a quarter tank (it started at a quarter tank for me) The truck itself was fine and did the job no problem. Just wish he would have been more thorough and better trained.

Make sure van does not smell like a pot factory. Smelled terrible. Didn't think it worth complaining about to employees working there. Would've returned it, but no other vehicle available on lot. I called with an issue and someone supposed to call me back, never did. Inside lights should come on when door opens. Never could figure out how to get them to come on when door opened.

I made my reservation over 2 weeks in advance, all went well with that. I received an email the day before that my pickup location and truck size had been changed. What I reserved prior was not available. This is highly unfair to the customer. If something is not available you need to let the customer know in a reasonable amount of time to change plans. The morning of, I showed up to the new location to pick up the truck that U-Haul decided to give me instead of the one I ordered, and that truck was not ready. They asked me to go to a 3rd location to pick up yet another truck. They told me it was not possible to have that truck come to the 2nd location that I did not agree on to begin with. This put me over an our behind, I was not able to make my deadline, and my whole trip got pushed back. This was a bate and switch situation. I feel completely taken advantage of. Due to the timing of all the last minute changes, I was left with no alternative. U-haul had me over a barrel and I had to comply with whatever ridiculous unfair practices they decided to throw at me. I am very displeased and will never use or recommend U-Haul to anyone. They are thieves who take advantage of people to rip them off just because they can!

Needs to be a frequent renters club or a discount when you only need a trailer for a few hours.



Take care of the problems first with the customer that is having problems 2nd time issues with storage unit and unsafe truck with defective light switch. I am a domestic abuse victim trying to move away to a safe home and this happens. I had to stick my hand into a hole in the dashboard to try and turn on headlights to drive at night on county roads! Stressed out!

The 2 guys in this location during this time knew there products and provided excellent friendly service. Much better then the fiasco and lies that were told to me by the other Uhaul location around the corner on Ridgeway Avenue on Thanksgiving that resulted in my reservation quote being a total lie and my getting dropped off that location to pick up and because they lied and provided horrible service, I had to cancel that reservation and call a cab to get a ride back home on Thanksgiving. Ridgeway Avenue location are liars and unprofessional. This Long Pond location I will always go to from now on because these folks are consistent, friendly and honor estimates and contracts unlike the other they get my business instead.

You need to work on the self service side of the business. I tried to use it but was told my picture did not match my id. When I asked how I could go about getting an actual rep to help me I received no response.

Get rid of the call center!!



Wonderful experience with staff (Will) at Long Pond location. Extremely friendly and efficient. However, I was very dissatisfied with my reservation not being placed to return truck at 5:00 pm as requested and told was all set. Had to have truck back by 2:00 (was rented to another customer for a 2:30 pick up). This caused extreme stress for my family, our movers, and me. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you!



I was charged for 2 rental periods when I only had the truck for 10 hours. If I hadn't paid attention I would've paid double. I can admit that the issue was immediately resolved.
