The trailer was in poor shape---the door latch was falling apart, one of the lights did not work properly, the wheel lugs were rusted to the hub, and the rubber bumpers inside were either falling off or missing entirely

Check in was a breeze. The truck was excellent. Check out was problematic because of computer problems. While I and others waited, the staff could not get the computer program to allow a change or options that should have been easy to do. They worked for a full half hour with this single customer and intermittently second agent would help one of the waiting customers. the agent working the problem has to speak to a regional help desk for another 15 minutes and the problem still hadn't been rectified by the time I left (45 minutes after I walked in the door). Get your computer program working and straighten out the system your employees have to use and more people will come back.

Train your girl up front to choose honesty over lying to people if she doesn't know how to do something. Get the service guy to service the trucks when needed and not choose not to "because he doesn't feel like it" Ended up with a truck that half way threw our trip cross country that shook if going over 60 and had MULTIPLE warning lights pop up. Will forgo uhaul and continue with Penske from here on out.

Even thought the truck was clean inside, I was surprised the windshield was dirty. I cleaned it before starting my trip because I would be heading into the sun and didn't want my vision impaired. Truck ran great and was a perfect size for our needs.

We were scheduled to drop off at storesmart on E1/2 rd. When we got there the gate had a code (nowhere in our emails or U-Haul app could we find the access code.) we then called all numbers listed, no answer. I called customer service and was on hold for about 15 mins. While on hold we drove to the E north ave location and arrived one minute before closing 6:59pm. The door was locked but there was a worker still in there not answering the knocks on the door. Finally the customer service agent answered and I spent 50 minutes on the phone with her trying to get a access code. She refused that I drop it off at this location since I would get a $30 charge. It was back and forth with terrible customer service. Over 2 hours of my time was spent trying to drop off this trailer, and I am not happy about it.

This location didnt even have our equipment. We reserved it weeks beforehand at this location and couldn’t even get our stuff from them. We didn’t receive a call, text, or email stating we needed to pick up at a different location. We shouldn’t even have had to do that. Then, once we got to the other location, it was closed and not open for another half an hour. The guy here was rude and couldn’t work his computer. He also gave us an attitude when we asked if the truck that we were renting (that came in the night before) has been inspected (for damage, fluid levels, etc.) since we were driving across the country. He told us it was unnecessary and he guaranteed it would be fine. However, since he didn’t inspect it, he didn’t realize he didn’t even have the keys for our truck. When asked what sort of compensation we would be given for the runaround and hours lost, he was very rude and told us we wouldn’t receive any because technically he had a truck for us (even though it didn’t have keys). We were sent to yet another location which was closed again. It had two trucks. Only one of them was the size we needed. It had a completely bald tire. We ended up not getting our truck that morning. This put us an entire day behind schedule. Then, when we finally went to drop off our truck at the location we were told to take it to, the UHaul office wasn’t there. They’d been out of business for months. We had to drive around a new town trying to find the one we had to take the truck to (again with no call for an update on location until we were almost late getting it back). This place was in the completely opposite side of our town.

Your telephone customer experience was horrible. I was on hold for over 45 minutes. An agent took the reservation and transferred me to another customer service agent and the reservation appeared completely wrong for the next agent. No one could tell me the location that I was to pick up from. So instead of being at the location when they opened at 9:00 I had to wait to find out where to go after 9:00 in the morning. After then being told the location to pick up I was able to go to the location and wait in line for 40 minutes. So much for getting an early start.

I prepaid and registered online. Then when they moved my pick up from Rifle to GJ I had to change my plans. So I went down to GJ store to get all set so I would have little to know wait time. I told the man I would be there at 7 sharp. I showed up at 7 am truck was not ready,had less than a 1/4 tank of gas! So I had 4 staff on the clock standing around for 30 plus minutes,then I had to go get it gassed up. So I spent $80 on labor of my staff standing around and we were 45 minutes late for our meeting place. I think I'll use Budget next time.

I have had very bad service with Uhaul dealers. I make a reservation a week before I needed the car dolly, the day to pick up it’s not there, they don’t chase down equipment you have to go to the nearest location to pick up the equipment you reserved...My question “Why bother reserving equipment at a certain location when it’s not guaranteed to be there when you need it??” Ridiculous!!! Have to drive 1 1/2 to 2 hours to pick up car dolly, the young man definitely needs to learn customer service, we had a reservation, sent to this location in a Grand Junction, Colorado to pick up car dolly by Uhauls scheduling department, this guy has NO information, determined we needed the address to where we were dropping this car dolly off, we kept telling him, Busy Bee in Valparaiso, Indiana 46383, No he needed the address, all we knew the name, on Calumet Ave, in Valparaiso, Indiana, No he needed an address. We told him it was on our reservation, we had to Put in the zip code & name of place we were picking the car dolly up at & where we were dropping the car dolly off at, No he needed an address so we just gave him our daughters address so we could get the car dolly & get going. Asked where the car dolly was at, go to the side of the building & in the lot you’ll see car dolly’s, he finally came out then we needed to buy a different connector, then he never came back out to help hook the car dolly up as we had to load the car on the dolly also. We had to drive separately, the wife has extremely bad panic & anxiety attacks while driving, quite along distance for her to drive following me since the equipment was not where we reserved it to be. We’re totally discouraged with your company, did notice Penske has Car Dolly’s, definitely considering using a different company next time, Uhaul has surely gone down hill...I’m sorry to see this for years I’ve used uhaul although the last few times we haven’t been happy at all, actually extremely discouraged...I sure hope you get better communication on exactly why you make a reservation, Uhaul doesn’t chase equipment or trucks down, You the customer may have to go pick up what you reserved at another location than where you choose on your reservation & better Customer Service with People... Thank you for your request on how our experience with Uhaul was & how to improve for Uhauls next Customer...hopefully, your next Customer receives better Sevice & Help...I called Uhaul 800 number about Grand Junction, Colorado about not receiving help connecting the Dolly to the Vehicle, I was told someone should had been helping us, we were texted a Free Storage for a month for our inconvenience, we’re not in need of any storage although that was nice that she knew I was extremely discouraged, Uhaul needs more employees like this person....Thank you, Mr. Morgan
