Location and service were great. UHaul's computer software is a joke!! It's rigged to add extra items like blankets, dollies and insurance automatically even when you say "No". How can a Fortune 500 company be stuck in the dark ages of computer programming.

Put jack stands on the trailers. How is one person supposed to unhook from a 6x12 dual axle trailer? Too heavy to lift by yourself.

They had no blankets and/or dolly. Then he threw a dolly in last minute. But it was behind him the entire time. Then he wanted us to buy blankets. The place was filthy dirty and stunk! And they do not open on time. It was a weird experience but better than the other haul place that I walked out of because the lady was SO RUDE!

As I was traveling, the 6 foot x 12 foot trailer came off my hitch. The trailer swayed back and forth but I was able to get it under control and stop. I found out that the trailer was not tightened down on my hitch by twisting the knob. This very nearly caused a catastrophe. Other than that mishap, the gentleman was very helpful.

Got there and it was closed. No answers the phone. Supposed to pick up at 10am. They didn't get there until about 10:45. I had about 10 people from our church waiting to help us move. Very unprofessional. There was another guy there ahead of me that had been there since 9am waiting. And calling with no answer either!! Just ridiculous. You ask me, we both should have been given the $50 haute tee money since we didn't get our equipment on time as promised!!!!!

Associate I worked with was excellent! Very friendly and very busy, but took time to make sure I got what I needed. I've rented from U-Haul 15 times is the past 35 years. Best experience I've ever had.



I called to confirm they had what I was looking to rent one way. I asked them to double check as I would have to walk 3.6 miles to their location. I called back before I started there to reconfirm. I get there and at the end of the rental process I am told that this is a rotation truck and they cannot rent it one way. The rental goes from a 15' truck to a 24' truck and I am told it will only be a few dollars more. Turns out to be nearly $100.00 more. When I complain he offers to locate a truck at a different location but as I had walked there he didn't know how I was going to get there. Since I had no choice I had to take the 24' truck. He hands me the keys and points to where the truck is located and tells me the tow dolly is in the row behind it, never offering to step outside of the air conditioned office to locate and assist in hooking up the tow dolly. I locate the tow dolly at the back of the stack and have to manually move the others to get to correct number dolly out and hook it up. All of this with an injury to my right arm that is very noticeable. The truck when cold would die and chug along until warmed up, the windshield was bug covered and when I dropped it off and saw the UHaul employee sweeping out asked if they did this to every truck when returned and he stated yes. I told him that I had only used the truck to tow the dolly and never opened the back up, so it had to have been that dirty when I picked it up. He stated that was unacceptable for UHaul. Lastly I was rented the truck with only a 1/4 tank of fuel and was not give or offered the fuel credit for taking a truck so low on fuel. We rent from UHaul quite often and never been as unhappy as we are from this rental.

Self check in service wasn't working. Called uhaul and it took about 45 minutes for someone to tell me to just take the truck. When I returned, I went into to talk to the guy, told him I didn't know how to return it because the self service wasn't working. He said he couldn't help me! Told me to call uhaul. I ordered furniture pads, they were no where to be found.



My wife and I rented UHaul vans from two different suppliers. I had prereseved mine for two days. In arriving at the store it was only recorded for one. I waited for close to an hour and the clerk still could not complete the rental because of system issues. After 2 days I returned the van and had to re-rent it so the store could charge me for the rental. I now sit at the store 5 minutes after opening waiting for the attendant because I was billed for insurhatnI did to accept. My wife had no issues with her rental.



Very customer friendly...



Reserved a trailer at a close location in town 2 and a half weeks in advance for our move across country. I got a confirmation email and voicemail saying the location I chose would not have the equipment but the one who would was still close and that was fine as well. When we showed up on moving day I spent the 10 minute car ride to the location trying to call them and got no answer, only voice mail. We were told we didn't have a reservation and that no location in any nearby town would have a trailer and no phone call or anything to let us know we might need to seek other options. I told the guy I had a confirmation number and email and asked why I had no reservation and he was very unhelpful. I think in order to not cause a scene he offered up the only trailer he had along with a guilt trip over how he really hopes he gets another one turned in on time for another reservation he had in the morning. He looked up our phone number and had our towing vehicle information pulled up so I know my reservation went through and we left feeling as though he messed up by renting out our trailer and accidentally not having enough to cover all the reservations. We were very appreciative that he at least offered to let us leave with a trailer but we did not feel taken care of and worth dropping $700+... Everytime I call the 800 number I'm on hold for approx 10 minutes before the call goes through to anyone.

The pick up location was open at the time I arrived to pick up the trailer, but no one was in the store. The manager arrived about 20 minutes later and had a negative attitude. When we hooked the trailer to my vehicle, he made me do the actual work and said "if something goes wrong with the hook up, it's your fault and not mine." I dropped the trailer off on a Sunday night and the store was not open. When I called the store on Monday morning to confirm the trailer was there, the manager had a negative attitude and would not confirm or issue a receipt. I had to call back multiple times to get him to close out the rental and to email me a receipt. I have rented U-Haul equipment multiple times over the years, and this was by far the worst experience I have encountered!
