I went and rented a cube van today at Jiffy at 660 Joseph Boulevard in Gatineau. I was told that I would reveived my receipt by email and I did for the amount of $29.99. When I got home and checked my credit card online statement I had a UHAUL charge for $43.23 instead of $29.99. I don't know who took the liberty of charging more than suppose to on my credit card but i really don't appreciate and really hope it was a mistake and that I will be reimbursed within a reasonable delay. I would appreciate if someone could contact me in order to solve that matter at 819-661-5388. Jean-Michel Duncan

j'ai appelée U-Haul la même journée de la location au numéro 1-800. A été 17 minutes sur attente pour parler avec quelqu'un, j'ai pas réussi. Apres 17 minutes, j'ai fermée la ligne. J'ai réappelé, parler avec quelqu'un, elle m'a mise sur attente environ 10 minutes et ensuite la ligne s'est fermée. Mauvais service à la clientèle.

The place is little small but nice none of the less It was an excellent service, very polite and fair. I think the region manager could learn a few things from these guys.. 6 months ago I had the worst service ever in whole life from the Gatineau location by a couple which later I found out the guy was the manager. I’m still waiting for an apology and honesty he should not be working with the people being as rude.

This was not my first time renting from Uhaul. The last time, I was asked to deliver my rented trailer nearly 35 minutes and many many kilometers away from my scheduled move -in location. I complied even if it had meant spending nearly half an hour trying to find the rental drop off location in montreal. This time, I specifically told the rental guy that I wanted to drop of the truck at a Uhaul location located three minutes away from my move-in location. He said no problem after he looked at my reservation document which did not have a return/drop-of address identified. At noon time, once I had arrived at Montreal, I was told by my wife in Chelsea that I now had to drop off the truck on Jean-Talon for 3:00 PM when I had planed to do so at the Uhaul depot that was located close to the 4iem avenue, my move-in location. So I had to leave my location more than half hour earlier than planned originally and travel more than 20Km extra just to deliver the truck at the Jean-Talon site. And only to be told that I had surpassed the 240 free K amount and that I now had to pay 1:22$ in surcharge fee - because I had to drop off the dams truck farther away that the planned location near my move-in point. This is the second time I have been forced to spend my time and money to meet your unreasonable drop off demands and it is the last time. Your company is definitely not interested in client oriented service so I will be moving my business to someone who is. And I will definitely be telling everyone I know NOT TO USE UHAL services (more like lack off services).

I had only a blade connector on my vehicle and the trailer has a inline 4 pin connection, so I could not plug without purchase of an adaptor. I recommend you have adapters with the reantals.

It's a small location within a garage so they couldn't serve me as quickly as a dedicated UHaul location might have but over all, when they did manage to serve me, it was quick and straight forward to reserve, pick up and return the vehicle. The truck was in good working condition (although the driving cabin still had some food wrappings laying about and coffee stains in the cup holders but when I pointed that out to the guy he said it was normal and they wouldn't charge me for that so it was all good). The location was convenient for me and the service was as expected.

The customer service representatives were amazing! This locataion NEEDS A DEBIT MACHINE! Nothing is more annoying then getting to the counter and getting ready to pay and being told sorry we dont take debit we have credit or cash if you pay cash its 300 i understand that its 300 for cash for damage purposes and what not but seriously in this day and age EVERY UHAUL PICK UP PLACE SHOULD HAVE DEBIT I MEAN COME ON. I WAS SO ANNOYED THAT I WAS NOT INFORMED THAT THIS LOCATION DID NOT TAKE DEBIT THAT MY BOYFRIEND AND MYSELF WILL BE BOYCOTTING UHAUL AND SUGGESTING TO OUR FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME.

Wednesday, September 27, 2017 Re: Rental of 10 foot Truck today. in the name of Patricia Ely. The U-Haul guy over-charged us by $17.57 The floor of the truck cab was so dusty with a white powder on the cab floor, that the (brown velour sectional sofa) we put in the truck got all dirty from having to lay the sofa on its sides. There was white powdery dust all over the sides of the sofa when we took it out of the truck. Someone should have swept that truck before renting it out. Then when we returned the truck, the guy was rude when dealing with me. The mileage on the truck when we got the truck was : 14,674.0 and we brought it back the odometer read: 14,708.0 - We put 34 kilometres on the truck. We filled the truck with $14.00 worth of gas when we brought it back. Then at the office this guy who was checking the truck over started saying that the gas line was a tiny line near the 3/4 line. I told him that it was exactly where the odometer gas line was when we initially rented the truck. This guy started saying: "I will take a photo and send it to U-Haul" I said, "Please do, because it is right where it should be, a hair near the 3/4 line) Furthermore, this guy started the truck and let the truck run 8 minutes before turning off. When I told him to shut the truck off, he said, it's only been on for 5 minutes. "I said, Yea, and that uses the gas we paid when we brought it back". Then he says to me "Look, I'll take a photo of the line and send it to U-Haul Head Office". This guy's attitude was really hostile. " Then when this guy makes the bill out he over-charged us by $17.57 - This is the addition of our bill: The way we see it: We used 34 K @.69=$ 23.46 - He charged us : #37.74 Right there he over-charged by: $14.26 - . He added the taxes at the end of the calculations. Then there was $15.00 for Insurance. + $19.95 for the truck Rental. His Total with tax was $84.74 and that is not correct. The Total should have been the following: 34 k- $ 23.46 Insurance : $15.00 Truck rental: $19.95 = $58.41 Plus 15% tax ($8.76)= $67.17 He over-charged us by: $17.56 His calculation $ 84.73 -(minus) the correct calculation $ 67.17= $17.56 - Please call me at: 819-770-7103 Please look into this matter as soon as possible. Thank you very much. The bill is made out to Patricia Ely

They asked to fill up after I was done, I think I put it more gas then I consumed. Tank was not all the way full when I picked up vehicule. All in all, I was happy with my rental and will return the next time I need a truck for a day.

The brake safety chain was improperly attached to the brake lever - going through the tensioner spring rather than directly attached to the lever chain. had the trailer hookup failed, the brake would not have been activated. We corrected the problem later on. Suggest training staff in inspecting equipment more closely before releasing equipment.

The man who service us was vary good to explain everything to us.the first time renting A truck,to move. from now on if I need anything moved I will rent A truck from you,U.Haul as for two weeks I was looking for someone to move the fridge and stove even was going to pay them, they would say ok then the next day I'm busy maybe tomorrow . so my son said rent A, U.Hul truck, I'M very glad I did,,it was all moved in 2Hr. Have a better understanding of your stupids regulations. I reserved a 20fts three weeks before the rent day. The clerck told me that will be not possible a 17fts can be more available. Manday the 28 Aug I want to the store and he confirmed 17fts but he can't confirm the location of the pick-up. Wednesday I received an Email from U-Haul for a 15fts. Deam it. I have to drive 7hrs and I run out of space. Thanks F... U-Haul districts manager. I have to make an other trip Cabano To Hull.

D'un on me mentionne que ma réservation est annulée par je ne sais quelle miracle alors que je la vois active dans mon profil et de deux on me parle avec dédain. Mon aventure avec U-Haul prend fin et je ne recommanderai à personne d'autres de mon entourage. Merci
