I returned the truck around 5:30pm and was told that they would Check it in later. They never checked the truck in that evening, leaving me potentially liable for vandalism and abusive charges; next time use online return!!

I signed up for a truck at my neighborhood rental in King Farm. But with ZERO notification I was moved to one 15 mins away and had to get an Uber. I tried contacting customer support to try to move it back before hand but was on hold for 18 mins and had to give up. The gentleman working at the Gaithersburg location I did pick it up at was friendly and helpful. The truck I order was not available but he found a bigger one ehich worked out. That truck was dirty with trash, socks and glass but he tried to accommodate me. So I am happy with him. But am very upset with everything else. I have alway used Uhaul when I move. I expected more from a once trusted company.

This is a small U Hall facility which is located in a strip mall and was a little difficult to identify the location. The staff was professional, friendly and understood what I needed. The equipment was typical U-Haul equipment well maintained and in excellent working order.

Parking brake off and I had to hear audio saying parking brake on the whole trip. Before I left had left I had the person at the store check it also and telling me brake is off and ok to drive. Just annoying. Also gas tank was between 3/4 and full. I was told to fill up when returning. Leaving me to pay for gas I did not use.

The sliding rear door is in need of repair. The gentleman, Alex, was helpful. My Reservation was messed up and there was no truck in my name. He had one available with a reservation for the next day and let us use it for 4 hours on Sat.

I had requested a self-service rental as I was going to pick up at 7:30am. This location does not open until 9:00am, and they did not leave the keys in the lockbox, and there were no instructions. We had to wait until 9:00am when the store opened.

I reserved a trailer at the 2215 5th St, Washington, DC location and was EXTREMELY disappointed when I arrived at that location to be told my pick-up location had been changed to Gaithersburg, MD which was over 45 minutes away. I was never notified of this change even though UHaul had my cell phone # and email address - this was a major inconvenience as it put me over an 1 1/2 hours behind schedule. No one at UHaul offered to compensate me for this inconvenience and additional fuel required to drive over 50 additional miles. Very disappointed !!

All in all, the experience was positive. My only complaint is that I was told the gas tank was on 1/4, which was an ominous start. Which it was, when I turned on the ignition. BUT, as soon as I started driving, the gas gauge dropped down close to E like a lead balloon. So, my thought as soon as I started driving was, I need to get some gas. Not a good start. To improve your service, your trucks should have a full tank of gas, as any reputable auto rental service does. I should not have to think of getting gas as soon as I start driving a Uhaul truck. You can do better!

The first trailer we were assigned -- I got it all hitched up and then connected up the light connector -- and none of the lights worked. Luckily there was another trailer (same size) available and we were able to switch. The agent did not know how to change the trailer # on the rental agreement -- and had to call in. This took some extra time. I would not recommend this express location for first time people pulling trailers -- I had called about scheduling an inspection of my hitch and they did not know what I was talking about. Luckily I had watched all the online videos and know how to work the hitch mechanism on the trailer as well as how to verify proper operation. Granted I did not ask for any help .. but I would have appreciated a 2nd set of eyes on what I had done. Part of the problem could have been there was only 1 person manning this express location -- so they could not come outside with me. The drop-- went very smoothly -- I was greeted by an agent in the "return equipment lane) and they actually unhitched the trailer for me. Yes -- I will rent from UHAUL again .

This was not the preferred location I selected and was, in fact, 13 miles further away from my moving destination than the destination I chose. I went slightly over mileage and that would not have been the case had I gotten to use that selected location. The dozen moving blankets that I requested in my reservation were also not available at the revised location. The agent was very apologetic and tried to be helpful by applying a refund for the blanket charge - still waiting to see if that refund gets applied. The cab of the truck had trash in it and was not clean.

the staff was extremely helpful and made the process to rent a truck easy and fast.I found the cabin and inside the truck a bit dirty but overall ok. I was charged $16 for credit card charge that I dont know what that charge is nor was I told there was a such additional charge

they took $15 from my card when I got the gas the same level I took it. They claimed two other fees from my card which I have not really experienced in all my years of using u haul. I feel private contractors are often cutting grounds to reap of customers
