I made the reservation on the same day as pick-up. I went online and booked a truck and car transport for an 8pm pickup. Knowing I was coming from out of state, I knew I couldn't get there until 8pm. Per U-Haul's website this location closed at 9pm. I received a call shortly after making the reservation confirming the equipment and time. I arrived at the location at 8:07 and they were closed. I tried calling the phone #, knocking on the door, and ringing the bell...still nothing. (If the reservation system shows an 8pm pickup, wouldn't a phone call to the rental client be common sense?) I tried calling the corp. customer service # 3 times and was hung up on 2 out of the 3 times after being on hold approx. 10 minutes for the first 2 calls. While I was trying to reach customer service I drove to a 2nd location (1878 Thompson Bridge Road), the rep behind the counter was beyond useless - zero initiative to even try and help. He said he had a truck and trailer but they were reserved for the next day and he wouldn't give them to me. I mentioned transferring from the 1st location and about that time he "checked out" of the conversation. I was finally able to get a customer service rep on the phone who found a truck for me at a 3rd location across town. I drove over and picked up the truck, however, did not get a trailer, dolly, or furniture pads. The time is now 10pm and I had to load the truck that night due to my brother coming in from Dallas, TX and myself from Columbia, SC. My brothers scheduled departure was 7am the next morning. So we finished loading the truck at 1am. I called the corporate reservation # on Sat morning to find a car transport and was sent back to my original (1st) location. When I was speaking with the rep she could not understand that I already had a 20' truck from the night before and ONLY needed the car transport. So, she proceeded to make the reservation for a truck and trailer. I tried calling the location multiple times to see if they were open and had the trailer, no one EVER answered the phone. So when I got to the Sardis Road location it took almost an hour to get the reservation straightened out and the trailer hooked up. While I was there I tried calling the number and it rang to the guys cell phone (which confirmed he received my multiple calls the night before and that morning, just decided not to answer). When I was at the Sardis Road location, I also commented on his hours. He said they close at 8 and he has asked U-Haul to update the website on multiple occasions and they will not do it. Overall, I do not know where the issue is for this dealer, but overall by experience with the entire pickup process was EXTREMELY frustrating and disappointing due to severe time constraints.

Fine for drop off. Personnel that received trailer did a good job. Seems like a new location, not quite set up fully. Will be a good site in the near future. Also - limited area for rental equipment pick up / delivery.

They got messed up on my paperwork they didn’t get my information right he also didn’t set me up to take the truck back to where I was wanting to take it and then I got a bunch of calls because it wasn’t where it was supposed to be. These other locations need to be trained better because they have no idea what they’re talking about. The regular U-Haul location is the only one that tells you exactly what needs to be done thanks

Andera jr was nice but DID not explain the extra charges. He said our insurance was going to be 14 flat and we were charged $28. He said that it would be around $ 98 IN TOTAL. unless we went over our miles. Which we did by 4 MILES. we should have not been charged 150. Going over 4 Miles and the correct charge of going over 4 Miles is not 150. The numbers given to us is now not working. I’ve left serval voice messages and no reply just a charge.
