The line out the door full of mad people should be dealt. I dont know how much longer Uhaul will think the "we have an unexpected high number of call volumes" will work; the "exception" should not be the norm. Your employees, you should introduce what Services is all about. It should be part of core training for all employees. Highly suggest everyone in the company to take it with frequent retraining requirements. Your customers is what makes your company, not the other way. Specifics, the young gentlemen who rang my ticket here made my drop off location at another state from the address I was moving to. And after calling the first CSR from your 1800#, the lady told me to start reading documents I sign instead of being mad... followed by the "Is there anything else I can help you with?" to rub it in (less is more speak). Fortunately, a few different calls later someone picked up who had a clue; this should be the standard. The lady understood and move the drop off location 10miles away, not 70miles. What person would actually want me to spend my time driving 2hrs away my home to return a truck; a 4hr round trip for a family just to return a truck, else pay a 300% fee of original truck rental cost. Obviously no QA going on here. Alas I am writing to thin air. If anything I'll get an autoreply or some speel about we'll bring this up to management. Bye for good.

I called Uhaul 3x, averaging 20+min each try, asking why I my contract states to return the truck to MD, when I live in VA. 2 out of 3 of these support idiots told me to next time read what I sign; totally ignoring the fact that I have nothing to do with St Marys County, that it was 60+miles way out of my way not to mention out of state. Fortunately the last number I called was so understanding and got me a location, well, I'm sorrounded by Uhaul locations but this one was 10miles out. Not bad compared to out of state. That or pay 300% fee of the cost of the truck. You guys seriously need to do something about the hold times. Just because youve monopolized this industry doesnt mean you can make it so unacceptable. Each visit to the store had people mad and lines out the door. Seriously do something about it. No, really. My wife kept telling me this is unacceptable and asked me how this is tolerated. I told her repeatedly this is how low theyve lowered everyones expectations. So low theyre not aware of it. Rental trucks in other countries Ive been to are not only cheaper in other countries, but they actually have a clue on the word, "Service".

The truck had oil in the back and it got all over my stuff. I am still waiting for the manager to get back to me. The guy at the store was very nice. And when I went to pick it up the store was understaffed and I waited over hour to pick up my truck, and there were over 10 people also waiting.

Hi, The van we rented had a horrible smell in it that would not go away. We told the staff and there seemed to be little concern about the problem. Upon a little investigation there was a dark brown fluid under the mats in the back. I can only guess at what it was, but it smelled horrible and I had to drive for 2 hours with the windows open to help with the smell.

When we went to return the van, the trucks, van, trailers were so backed up, we had to wait about 45 mins extra to return and pay. Other than that everything went well.

we didn't have a walk around when I received the keys. I opened the cargo door and noticed I didn't have a hand truck :( I went back in to tell the clerk it was missing! She said oh, and would make a note on my contract so I wouldn't be CHARGED! :(

My only comment about my drop-off experience is that the person who checked my truck over and recorded the mileage printed off a document and simply handed it to me. I thought it was simply a confirmation that I returned the truck. After leaving the location, I noticed that they actually charged me a $20 "Wrong Destination Fee". In fact, the location I returned the truck to was the exact location that I selected on my original internet order. At least give me the courtesy of telling you are adding on an additional fee.

Make sure the location answers the phone and is polite. Do not have them telling customers they cannot have a one way. I was told that I had to bring it back to that same location and pay for the miles back but when I wanted to drop off in Baltimore.

I was never told and never saw on the website that I would be charged twice for the rental fee of 19.95 and for the rental equipment I used. I'm assuming it was because I rented the vechile for 10h, but there was no explination of the fees. I will call to see if I can get these charges removed. Also, when quoted at the store I quoted 60 miles which totaled $91, when we actually only used 21, which was $16. And our total bill $99. Makes no sense and I was cheated out of money. I Will never use U Haul again. Also the parking lot of this facility is terrible there was no where to park the vechile when we returned and the key drop off had a tiny sign, we had to circle the building twice to find it. It is a very small slot on a garage door.

Not happy due to the manager not calling nor notifying me by email or text that I went over and owed more money and when I went to rent again I was told I was put on E alert. If notified I could of taken care of this matter without that happening.

I rented a dolly to tow a Hyundai Sonata with my Ford F-150. The dolly ramps were rusted in place; I had to use my own WD-40 to loosen them. Please make sure to 1) demonstrate to the customer how to use the rented item, and 2) make sure that the rented item is maintained properly! On the plus side, the staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. Word to the wise: make sure the item that you rent works properly before you leave the lot!
