This location used to run so efficiently. Pull into their drop off bay. Someone came almost instantly and unhooked the trailer and you're off. But now, the drop off bay is crammed full of rental trucks. I could barely find a place to sit and wait for the disconnect without blocking traffic coming in or out of the lot. Total chaos. Also, the trailer was full of blankets which I hadn't ordered and didn't need.KEVIN D.

When reserving the truck for 7am it said I could get the truck out of hours of when the business was open. When I showed up to begin the process of retrieving my truck it said I had to come at 9am when they opened because they did not offer this service. Why was I able to reserve a truck with this feature but, not be able to claim the truck?CODY M.

Contact by phone: I needed to contact this site ahead of rental day to ask a couple of questions. I was on hold for 15 mins and they never answered. I had to call a 1-800 number to update my rental and address the issue. Site parking: there is none. I had a one-day in town rental, so left my car at this site and returned after dark. The only parking available is not "on site". It's only on the adjoining street. First: hard to find a place to park (it's along a street with many apartments; lot's of no parking zones); Second: walking to car after dark was scary as the neighborhood was not very welcoming.CHARLES G.
Biggest complaint is that pick up was SLOW! I was there for 75 minutes; need more employees in my opinion. Staff was very friendly however so that helped.James W.

The after hours drop-off slot for keys is SUPER hard to find. I had to walk around for 15 min before I found it. It'd be nice if it was a bright color and/or had a more visible sign.Alexander F.
Representative refused to touch my drivers license (even while wearing rubber gloves) and insisted I reach far through the cutout in plexiglass barrier to flip it over for her. When I stated she was being ridiculous she said I should leave if I didn't like it. She also never asked if I needed a hand truck or pads. After all the attitude I completely forgot about asking for them until well after I had left. I will go to another location next time I need a truck.MICHAEL M.

They played "Gotcha' with me. I rented a van for a tentative 6-hour use. I even bought their insurance for a premium of around $10. When I went to pick up the vehicle the lady at the front desk told me to just check the odometer reading and look at the tank. When I asked her if I should check anything else her answer was a â€˜no'. Unbeknownst to me they had sent a text message with a link that I was supposed to click and note the condition of the vehicle. I did not see it since I was preoccupied with moving the stuff. I had the vehicle for about 4.5 hours. All I did was park in an empty parking lot of the apartment for about 3 hours while we packed about 20 boxes and a small freezer. We then moved these boxes to another apartment and returned the vehicle. The total distance traveled was 10 miles and I filled in slightly over 3 gallons of gas! Upon returning the vehicle I asked the lady to inspect, and she said no need! The next day I got a receipt for $202. 54!! I was shocked. Since they could not charge my credit card they sent it straight to a credit card collecting agency. Then began my saga. I called the manager, and she was evasive and finally said she will try to do something to not charge me and call me back. No call back and when I tried to reach them, they stopped answering the phone. The next day I called from a different number and got to talk to the manager, and she said I am sorry I cannot do anything since you did not check the text message! I called the customer service and they transferred me to RepWest their insurer or something. RepWest lady at the front desk refused to entertain my call and sent me back to U-Haul customer service. The next customer service representative who got on the phone half-hour later just told me plain and simple that I should have checked my cell phone and taken all pictures. I ended up paying them with a new credit card number and will not be returning to U-Haul for any more business. If you decide to rent from U-Haul storage place on Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati!! Make sure to read all the tex message they send and click on the check list link. DO NOT MOVE the VAN until you have taken all pictures (odometer, Gas tank, condition of the seats, and all of the inside of the van. Also, take the same pictures when you return the van. Be ready to pay more than you think you will have to (should) pay if you fail to do the check list.jairaj A.
Improve conditions for your hard-working employees. The representative who checked out the equipment was alone and did a fantastic job. Despite a long line of waiting customer on Friday morning before a holiday weekend, he was polite and efficient and should be rewarded for such good customer service.
