2nd time I have been to this location. Once was a drop off and the other was pick-up and drop off. Very nice and accommodating.

The only problem was we were to pick up our trailer at 10:00 a.m. We got there the place was closed. We left and called uhaul. Was on hold over 15 min. Then talked to a person said hold for a supervisor. That was another over 5 min. On hold. But they took my number. I finely hung up. That was yesterday. No one has called. Went back they were open. Went to return the trailer note on the door closed at 3:00 p.m. which was fine checked it in on line. When I checked it on line said someone will call within 24 hours.

My rental location was changed from my requested location, Sylva, NC, to Franklin, NC. Though I was sent a text notification I did not see that notice. As a result the rental was complicated by the change in location. I very nearly missed being able to complete the task for which I rented the truck because of this change. While everyone in Franklin was wonderful and the rental was ultimately successful, I found the change of location inconvenient and very stressful because the notification came only to my text which I do not use for such purposes.

Knowing that you have a problem with having your truck's fuel lines sliced to siphon gas, it would be most helpful to have someone experienced checking each vehicle before they are released to the customer. Upon viewing the gas pouring out of the fuel line at the gas station, my husband was able to quickly see the problem. This could have been avoided had the truck been checked before departure. We were told we would be compensated for our losses at the drop off location. The representative's first offer was not sufficient for our losses, he increased it to $200, but had a glitch in the system so he called his area manager to correct it. The area manager refused to give us any compensation, that it wasn't his responsibility. He completely contradicted everyone we spoke to previously at U-haul. He gave us a number to call the area manager for the pick up location. It was not that manager's number, it was another U-haul representative. The next day the area manager called. In a dismissive tone, he asked if a $100 would cover it. I wanted to cry. After explaining our situation, he did not offer us any more. We lost a day of travel, work, sleep, money for gas for going out of our way and additional mileage on our personal vehicle we were also driving to our new home. We are deeply disappointed in the lack of customer service, care and clear policy regarding this issue.

Had requested a drop off location 5 minutes from our house. Was reassigned one 40 minutes from the house. The staff at the drop off was very helpful and recognized my inconvenience and went out of their way to accommodate us.
