We were never informed of the mileage for a long trip. The cost for the rental was astronomical. Had we been informed of the cost for the miles, we would have purchased furniture instead of moved it. We will never use U-haul again.

Up front fuel policy that additional fuel cost will not be reimbursed (I was essentially penalized by over $50 for being considerate). Making matters worse, when I asked about this in an email to the provided address in the receipt email, no one responded. I would greatly appreciate if someone would help me with a reimbursement for the excess fuel as the policy was not clear.

I reserved 12 moving pads, there were only 6 in a bag that was secured in the truck, as well as a secured, unneeded, 2 wheeler, I never opened the bag of pads, but was charged for the use of 12??

Your after hours phone service is terrible ! i had no problem dropping off the rental where it was supposed to be dropped otf that is what GPS does for you, it finds your location. SO while i was trying to get an answer from Uhaul om the phone an individual came out in a company vehicle and asked if he could help, i told him we were in a holding pattern w. uhaul on the phone and he said just give me the key and you are all set. I responded that there was more gas in the truck than when we picked it up. I then proceeded to spend the next hour on my cell phone trying to either talk to someone, get dropped or be on hold w/ uhual. Your after hours website did NOTHING for me as all i ever got was a sign to your account on my cell phone. I got dropped once while talking to someone and then called back. What a DISASTER ! I spelled my name phonetically at least twice, my wife did the same thing and then it was still like pulling teeth trying to explain that we had dropped off the truck at the designated drop off location. The individual actually told us we would have to drive back to the location and be there on the 5th of July at 9 am in person ! I do not live in the same location as the drop off location. She then proceeded to ask us if we wanted to talk to customer service, which then put us in ANOTHER holding pattern! After spending my last hour on the phone with your phone tree my phone finally died. When i got to my relative's house i tried to check on the uhual site again and then only got "you are not at the right location" @! Luckily by leaving a voice message with Chips and an email and then connecting by phone after the right person came i, was told all was ok. THIS IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE ! This was a terrible experience....

To call u haul about rental info I was on the phone for 10-15 minutes waiting for someone to pick up. I actually hung up a few times because the wait was too long

The pick-up location was changed from the original that I booked online. When I called to confirm no one seemed to know what I was talking about.

After hours drop off was very confusing, there was no signage notifying us where to leave the truck. We saw the key drop but the lot was fenced off. We called customer service, the first representative stated we could not leave it and would have to return the next day. The roads were icy/snow covered and we were hestant to drive the truck any futher. We were disconnected by the rep on accident. When we called back the second representative, sorry I do not remember her name, was VERY HELPFUL. She assured us we could proceed with the on-line check in of the truck, leave it in a safe place and drop the key. She provided us with the needed reassurance.
