I will never use you guys again. It is always miserable.
Staff was not there when I returned truck (during business hours) so I tried to check in on line with no success. Left a message with the owner, but did not get a response. Went in this morning and he said it was out of his hands and to call Corporate. Your 1-800 number had no record of me trying to check in even though I spent 20 minutes trying. You are now reviewing whether you refund the $20 penalty. My suggestions are a check-in web site that works better, at least acting like you care about my issue and refunding without an argument when it is the company's not the customer's fault.
I was treated extremely poorly when dropping this off. Not only does the GPS bring you to the wrong location, the gentleman working was rude and even told me that the truck I was dropping off was for in town only. (I had picked it up from Denver!!!!) He didn't have any of my information on file (no photos or details on condition of the truck when I picked it up), he was rude and not helpful. Definitely would never plan to pick up or drop off from this location again.

Check the tires before sending them out! 2 tires of the 4 on the open trailer were low, one <20 when supposed to be 65!

The insurance cost is excessive $8 I normally don't take it, it's a trailer. But I was advised even a scratch would result in a charge. Frankly if that is the attitude then lower the insurance to $ 4. And everyone would take. It would make you less threatening. Also the location was having printer issues. Seems a common uhaul problem.

On returning the truck - what a difference - they were helpful and smiled. I explained what had happened in Rawlins, we then discussed that apparently they couldn't read numbers in Rawlins as the mileage had been recorded incorrectly by the Boss Truck Shop. The young man at Bettys resolved all the issue and the refund I expected I gave to him for being so helpful. I would recommend Bettys Bait shop in a heart beat.
Coordinate with the online reservation system a bit more. Deliver key from a secure on-site system vs from pocket. Felt out of sync with the website push to make reservations touchless. We were not required by the online system to print a rental contract, but the proprietor warned we would need to produce a printed copy if pulled over by police. We chose to take our chances and rely on good driving and our email copy of the contract, but if a physical copy is needed, that needs to be more clear in the online reservation system.
It seems one rotten apple spoils the whole barrel, in this case the trip. I had trouble finding Betty's Bait & Tackle location so the Extremely Rude person charged me $7.12 for being one eight below the gas tank. I told him I would go & add the other eighth, but he then said he would have to pay me for extra mileage. He then proceeded to say that I had to sweep the inside of the cargo van or he would charge me an additional twenty-five dollars. I was extremely tired from the long trip & did not want to argue with an extremely rude person. I spent $1,311.67 with your company & to have your representative try to charge me extra for a little dirt and an exorbitant amount for fuel is hard to comprehend. I have one more trip to make, but I'll go to Penske in Reno for better service even though it's further.
There was 1 guy to service U-Haul customers had to wait an hour to get waited on
Truck cargo area was fine, the cab interior was in poor condition, had not been cleaned, floor dirty and steering wheel was sticky. Windshield was covered with sticky bug goo that didn't come off the whole trip. Side mirrors could not be adjusted. i asked to be shown where to check the oil and fluids, I was told I was not allowed to look under the hood and that was U-Haul's policy.
I reserved a 26' truck but got a 20' truck. I know this location had nothing to do with that, because the order is placed online. I also reserved 2 queen mattress bags, but this location doesn't carry the mattress bags. And, even though the City ordinance requires masks in businesses, no one in the store was wearing a mask but me. AND, it rained all afternoon and the truck leaked, getting the mattresses that were supposed to be bagged all wet because there WERE NO MATTRESS BAGS.
No masks or social distancing attempts.
Nice people. Had to send my daughter to pick it up and they were very helpful in getting her all set up. Couldnt get the gps to register where I was for the return, but thats a software and geography issue.
The 12volt chargers didn't work.
Friendliest place from which I have ever rented a truck!
I am very, very irritated. I did not realize that I had to complete the after hours return at the drop location so I attempted to complete the process thru the link once I arrived at my hotel. I did call the (800) Go Uhaul phone number to alert them to the situation. Yet I still received a late fee as well as a charge for an extra day. I only rented it for one day but was charged for two. I feel that is very bad customer service. I still ask to have these extra charges reversed.
