I was overcharged an egregious amount for my U-Haul rental, reservation #29538832. I confirmed I would be traveling a total of 18 miles to and from my pick-up and drop off, and my receipt confirms this. Yet, I was charged $120 for "Safe Move" coverage, and a rental charge of $159.60. I never agreed to these charges and only agreed to pay the amount when I reserved the U-Haul, which was at or around $65. I also made sure to follow all the pick up and return policies exactly as described in the instructions provided so I don't understand the overcharges, and I at least deserve a more thorough explanation on these charges. I didn't agree to pay $322.38 for this service.

Key lock was not good. It was jammed.
Harsh PI left the truck in an apartment parking lot following app instructions and text msg. It wasn’t difficult but there was no personnel.
Leanne WThis should not be a drop off location. There is no one onsite and no drop box. We spent over an hour trying to return the truck in 100+ degree temperatures. The truck is still sitting in the parking lot. The lock on the very small lock box, not clearly marked, had an alpha combo on it that took two agents to track down. VERY frustrating experience. I would like a partial refund. I returned the truck early and had to deal with way too much frustration.
Brandt SThe text message with the link to upload my driver’s license and tell me where and what the lock box code for the key arrived on my phone 15 min after I was scheduled to pick it up. As a result, I called the number on a previous text informing me that the pick location was changed. When I called that number it went to VM. I then called the originally assigned location and they were nice enough to connect me with the “regional” manager who helped me get through the process. If I can, I will NOT do business with U-Haul again!
