Maintain your trucks mechanically and make sure they are road worthy. Steering, brakes, suspension, lack of comfort ride were all horrible.

1) my reservation was for a different location who didn’t have the size of trailer I had reserved online. 2) the second location didn’t have the size I had reserved, so I had a smaller trailer. 3) overall it took 2-1/2 hours to pick up this trailer, due to not having the trailer, to finding a dealer that had a trailer, driving to the 2nd dealer, who had computer problems / reservation problems with customer before me. Totally awful experience.

Truck was clean and ran well. The back gate/door on this particular rental truck was extremely difficult to close the last 6 inches. Was convenient but tedious to pickup and drop-off after hours with mobile device. I feel U-haul purposely leaves the pads and dolly unsecured/open so you are forced to pay for their rental regardless if you plan on using them or not. I had brought my own dolly and sheets/padding but when I picked up truck the bag for the pads was already unzipped/open and the dolly zip tie was cut. Thus, I get charged $10 if I use or don't use the pads and dolly. The initial rental contract is not clear about paying for fuel used.

I picked up the truck, the floor in the front was dirty the windows were dirty and I had to sweep out the back of the truck. After our use of the truck, we filled up the truck to where the needle was when we picked it up. On Monday after returning the truck, I received a statement with a charge of $7.00 for utility dolly and $12.38 for EZ fuel sales. I went back to inquire. I was told that if you cut the green tie from the dolly you are charged for its use. I advised that we moved it because it was in our way. We also returned the truck with the gas gauge exactly where it was when I picked it up. I advised that a person should be told that if you use the dolly you will be charged for it. We were reimbursed for the $7.00 charge BUT we were not reimbursed for the EZ fuel sales. I was told that when I got in the truck if the gauge wasn't right I should let them know. Who knew. I was told that it should be the same as when I left the lot. By the way, I keep track of my mileage and when I left our house to return the truck my mileage was 64.4. I stopped for gas and then directly to return the truck. I was charged for 64.7 miles. I checked the mileage as I left their parking lot (which I pass the gas station) and there is not that difference in the mileage. This was not a god experience for use of the U-Haul.

truck was very dirty with mud inside. Had to sweep before we could even use it. We also have a charge for gas on our receipt and we already put the gas in ourselves. I've tried at least 10 times to get the store to answer the phone and have left a message and still no call back. I've send 2 emails to the address on our receipt and not reply. Looks like I have to go back to the location and this should not have to happen.. very poor customer service!
