Have more than two employees working on the weekend. Give employees at every site access to more information about other drop-off sites so that customers who are dropping off U-Hauls in other locations can be well informed on the other sites' hours of operation, self-drop off options/procedures etc.

Store is often under staffed so wait times can be a bit.Trailer license plate light was not working, however we choose not to drive at night. Crew is friendly, helpful, and kind.

It would be good for this UHaul location to clearly label the key return drop - it's not easy to tell where to return keys if you drop the truck after-hours, and we were delayed in getting our truck because the previous renter had left keys in the wrong location!

The help was ignorant of what the trailer measured. The help measured the unit at the bed side. not the tail which is smaller. I took the unit. Could not use it AT ALL. Took it back in less than two hours. They in turn billed me for twenty four hours. You need mu8ch better help, or more easily read instructions for returns!!! I helped Mr Shoen start this location and sure hate getting SCREWED $$$$ here now.

I ordered a 26 foot truck a week in advance and went in three times in person to pick up boxes and check on my reservation. Then on the day of pick up, my truck was not available, because of a broken headlight! Why no back up?! They couldn't call another uhaul? So they gave me a 20 foot truck with a trailer. Now as a single mom with two kids I do NOT have time on moving day to learn how to unhitch and hitch a trailer with no lift! But that's what I had to do and it took an hour and my neighbors jack to unhitch so we could pull the ramp off and load the heavy furniture. It also took an hour to rehitch in the dark and once the trailer was loaded, there was no way for me to lift it myself. In addition, my reservation was for 10 am and it took an hour to get the truck and trailer. There was no one in front of me but they were having computer problems. Other than this HUGE hassle, the employees were overall friendly. But I am very disappointed that my reservation was not honored, come on uhaul, do whatever it takes to hold up your end of the deal!!!

We were asked to change our drop off location from Rio Dell to Eureka. While we were reimbursed, it ended up being more of a hassle than the reimbursement was worth. I wish they would have respected our choice for the original drop off location and not asked us to change it.

The young man at the counter was very nice & fun even at 7AM!

The check in process was so long and painful, the yard techs were left with customers who had to wait though a two visit trip to the counter for every customer in front of them in line. Each transaction took at least 15 minutes to complete, including hookup and testing. There should have been dedicated counter staff, then the customers could be handed off to yard techs to complete. Not having the whole line endure the inefficiency of the process. The equipment worked well. There was no mention of a 15 minute window for appointments or pre-purchased rentals

You need more employees ! We waited in store for over 20 minutes and NO one was even in the store. When they did get in (they were very busy) they were very helpful..

U Haul Customer Experience Very poor service, at 3220 Jacobs Ave, Eureka Ca., this location made us wait for hours, we were told before we even arrived, that we had not paid the charge of $868.00, had to get customer svc involved, Fraud and our bank. Then we arrived to pick up the truck, they had sent our refund check to an incorrect person, and the incorrect address. While waiting for them to hook up the transport trailer, they explained they were no longer allowed to drive a car onto the transport trailer anymore, due to one employee drove it off the transport trailer and they had to buy that customer a new one. Consequently my daughter had to drive her car up onto the transport trailer, with the employee telling her to drive up on, then it flipped up straight in air since he had not secured it properly...” he was in a hurry”, and he told us customers were waiting.., but so had we, for hours !!!. This is before we even left the parking lot, that should have been a clue, but we had nowhere else to go, or would have. When we were finally leaving, We were told we need to read the safety manual, on how to hook up the chains and make sure the trailer was attached, after we left, since it would be our responsibility if the chains or car was not secured down after we left their lot. The employee also said he could not show us what he meant, but told read the safety manual, and they could not show us how to hook up the chains, or tire secured belt. 30 hours later, when we arrived at our home in San Diego, we were told by U Haul employee, that the employee in Arcata Eureka, had not even hooked up the truck to the tow transport, or secured the tire on our car hooked up on the transport trailer that it had only one secured only one band and should have had three, Thank goodness the trailer did not come loose going through the redwoods, curvy dangerous roads, cliffs, during our 30 hour drive, Plus the steering wheel was hard to control was very loose and moved back and forth. The drop off also said that should not have been like that either, they were blown away at the U-Haul place where we returned the truck. We could have been killed, or have been in a bad accident. Since this trip, and over the last few days, I have spoken to at least 5 different people who also had a very BAD experience with U Haul. While we were stopped to get gas, a gentleman asked us if we were happy, that he was going to rent U Haul to bring his 50,000 car from Texas to LA, we strongly advised him to rent from another agency. Would never recommend to rent from U Haul, in EUREKA, Ca unless you want to receive, BAD CUSTOMER CARE AND SVC We were provided excellent service at our destination drop off in Oceanside, California
