Your website says if someone rent one way equipment one month storage will be free. I was planning to rent a truck from San Marcos and have my storage in Escondido but U-Haul said that's not possible and I have to rent a truck from same location that I want to store them to avoid giving me the free month!

Service is OK but I mainly complain about the uhaul service phone system. At beginning I was trying to contact San Diego Miramar, location for installing a hitch wire system, they verified the parts availability but I was tentative about the service time and said I would call back to confirm the time. But when I called back the same location, the phone was answered from a central location but was told to call me back later, then after a long time a uhaul from Florida called me back and said they don't do installing. Then I called the miramar uhaul, this time someone said they never had any record that I had contacted them and booked any service that day. Then they told me they don't have the part available and said the uhaul in city of escondido had it. Then I made at least 10 calls experiencing similar problems and finally had the system installed. I have not mentioned yet that the first time when I installed the hitch, nobody told me that the wire system was separate and not included, ending up I was unable to use it that day.

Location closed at 7 pm. I was their prior to the close time. The employee with the man bun refused to help me. I work for hireahelper.com for over a year and a half, and this is the worse experience I have ever had. The vehicle alignment was also terrible. I will never use this location again.

I reserved a car dolly at el cajon location and when I arrived to pick up the lights on the trailer were not functioning. I then had to find another uhaul location with a dolly available. The price was twice as much as the first. I was told it was based on availability. It wasn't my fault that the first dolly was not operational. I expect a partial refund from uhaul. 760-715-1417

I'm very upset as I have used U-Haul as far back as I can remember when I move or when I've help someone move that is unable to drive a truck. I asked the young lady if I was in the system and she said no, that was because she misspelled my name and she used my drivers license I would've thought that she would've verified. Then I asked about the difference with the $29 plus mileage and she made it sound as if my choice was only to return it to pow way and not to the same location so I almost paid double and if that wasn't bad enough my contract did not have a return location and so I use my GPS with no success so I had to call the 800 number which the lady was nice however she had no idea where I was had to put me on hold and so on terrible experience I think my rental Days from U-Haul have come to an end

My experience was great because I arrived when I did (8:05) am but if I had arrived 5 minutes later I would have been stuck in a long line of people with only one U-Haul member at the counter. I am sure those people waited an extremely long time to be served. On the positive side the truck was in great condition and made it all the way to Wyoming with no problems.

THE VAN I RENTED ON TUESDAY WAS GREAT. THE SERVICE WAS GOOD. TODAY (MARCH 3), MANY THINGS WENT WRONG. I GOT A VAN THAT WAS IN POOR REPAIR. THE ALIGNMENT WAS HORRIBLE. I PUT $40 WORTH OF GAS IN IT, AND COULD NOT GET CREDIT FOR IT. I ALSO DID USE ALL THE MILES I HAD ANTICIPATED. THERE WAS A CLERK SPEAKING SPANISH TO A CUSTOMER FOR ABOUT A HALF HOUR, WHILE I WAITED. THE PERSON WHO CHECKED ME IN TOLD ME MY ACCOUNT WAS "ON HOLD," WITHOUT EXPLAINING WHAT THAT MEANT. THEN WHEN I FINALLY GOT SOME HELP AT THE COUNTER, THE MAN WHO SPOKE SPANISH PURPOSELY JERKED ME AROUND INSTEAD OF LETTING ME PAY MY BILL AND BE DONE.

the uhaul had a hole in the roof ,so all my stuff gotb wet and ruin. also i made sure that i put the gas at half a tank and they charged me for gas up which was the same as when i got it .i will not ever use uhaul again do to my stuff getting ruin because of hole in roof .the guy just looked at me like what can i do about it give me 5 dollars off my bill . wow when my shit is ruined the truck was all beat up too .thanks but never again
