This location was fine. I was pleased with the Customer Service and the equipment, but I had a a strange experience with U-Haul; I was contacted several times by E-Mail, Text and Phone. 1st. I was told that the Car Hauler that I reserved at the Elmira Heights Location was not available and I would have to go to Sayre Pa. to pick one up. This didn't make sense that the employee in Elmira Heights would reserve a Car Hauler that they didn't have so I pushed the issue and finally got it straightened out because going to Sayre would have been a Major Inconvenience. 2nd. I got a text for a 6 hour rental. This surprised me because my previous rentals for trailers and tow dollies were always 24 hours. I once again had to call U-Haul and straiten this out because 6 hrs. was "cutting it close". Luckily I was able to extend the rental period but it consumed more of my time. As I indicated above; I'm very pleased with the Elmira Heights Location, but I'm rather Disappointed with U-Haul in General.Thomas R.

Book a reservation for a 26ft truck two weeks before I needed it. A couple days before I get a call from the Syracuse call center saying I can't have that size truck because it's not available. I was assured by the location since I was booking so far in advance that it wouldn't be a problem. Perfect example of one hand not knowing what the other is doing. Location tried their best to make it right. No problem whatsoever with local employees. Call center needs to get their act together and learn what goes on in the locations.D S.

I arrived at 10:45am to return the truck & couldn't find anyone for 30 minutes. The return app required a foto of the gas/odometer but there was no provision for saving the picture, so I had to wait (and my wife too) for an employee to show up.Thomas S.
I was not able to rent a Cargo Van because I did not have a major credit card to place a hold. I feel that this practice is discriminatory. I had more than enough money available to cover the charges on my debit card. I was advised that I could pay with my debit card but not secure the actual rental. I had to upgrade to a 10 foot truck which was unnecessary for my needs and more expensive per mile. Many people do not have credit cards for a myriad of reasons. Preventing them from renting specific vehicles and forcing them to rent something unsuited to their needs and more expensive is exclusionist based on social class.Echo B.

My experience was wonderful location is. Clean and laid out in a perfect order employee mike cheofee was a huge help with sound advice!! The return agent was such a nice young adult he was a pleasure to deal with I a senior and have delt with a lot of people and u-haul can be proud of the personal at this location. Went into this location a day ahead of time to reserve truck for 24 hours. When I went in to pick up truck, I was told that I could only have it for 10 hrs. as they had apparently double booked the vehicle. After much frustration, the person taking care of me made alternate arrangements so that I could have truck for the time I needed it. This required my altering my delivery and truck return plans.Mark W.
Trailer lights worked on initial check while at the location. Shortly afterwards the turn signals stopped working - staying on solid; both coming on when left OR right was activated; brake lights on when no brake applied, etc. Seemed to be some type of loose connection. Individual who dispatched the trailer to us was very pleasant, provided helpful information about the trailer and the coverage options, and completed the required information quickly. Explain the location of the key lock box for online pick up. We had no idea where the lock box was so valuable moving time was wasted looking for it.Gail L.
Terrible service. I opted in for 24/7 online pickup and received a confirmation. The day of pickup, the key was never put out causing me to be delayed by 3 hours. The staff inside tbt location was extremely rude and not helpful at allSARA C.
