To be sure the rental is readily available for pickup. I encountered an issue upon retrieving the truck. I went to a location that was changed to for an extra day with no charge and extra miles due to location being closed on Saturday. Canyon State location had a system issue upon arrival, after passing the system issue and was able to past the self service sign in, got the keys to rental, went to location of the rental to confirm if rental plate matched, mileage and gas and all. The rental could not start. The hood was open and noticed the battery was not there in rental. The experience was a okay but I’d appreciate a communication if system was down and not having to go through the hoops of all this that I’ve gone through retrieving the rental. Heard stories of this location having bad experiences in the past i.e batteries and parts being stolen, etc.
James CService was terrible. Picked up a Uhaul truck at another location in Phoenix. Had an issue picking up, which resulted in me being an hour late for my trailer pick up from here. I discussed the issues I was having with a guy named Justin from Uhaul that called me to ask if I was still coming to get the trailer. I told him the issues I was having and that I would be about an hour late. He said there would be no issues. When I finally got the truck and was headed to this location to get the trailer. I gave a them a call to tell them I was on the way. The woman that answered the phone told me I was not able to pick up for another hour or so because the guy that does the trailers left…..? Okay, fine. I call back at 3:45 and he still was not back, and they close at 5. So I changed the pickup to the next morning and changed my plans to head to Houston the next morning. I get there to pick up and the guy is a huge jerk. I was quoted $324. He charged me $800…. Just for the trailer. I called him to discuss the issue and he said he was closed…. It was 2pm on a Saturday. His hours online said that he was open until 5. So I called back and told him the hours online stated they were open until 5 and I wanted to get this resolved because I paid entirely too much for the trailer. He told me “he owns this business and can close whenever tf he wants….” Therefore, I would not recommend this man’s business to ANYONE. He’s rude and very unprofessional. (I did speak with the district manager and he was able to refund me the amount I was overcharged, and he was very nice. I just want to make others aware of the poor services and attitude that I received here)
Haley SUnit was not in the condition as shown in the pictures. There was a large patch where it had been punctured all the way through. I submitted it in the app at pickup. Also, one spring is flattened and obviously older than the other. The whole trailer leaned slightly left the entire time. It wasn't obvious at first.
