Would not recommend. No offense to the employee, he was great . Said i got the truck on a “full tank” , when i came back to refill, it cost me 12$+ to refill. I had a 32 mile round trip. You mean to tell me your trucks get 6 miles +\- to the gallon? False.

I've never rented such a clean and well maintained truck! Thank you to the poor woman who was manning the station all by herself the day I needed the truck! She was a trooper given how busy she was! Please be sure that two attendants are available on weekends.

We were told to we could return the truck to either of two locations in Annapolis or Edgewater. At the Edgewater location she didn't know how to transfer the drop-off from the Annapolis location to Edgewater. She finally said she would figure it out later and I could leave.

Despite paying extra for assistance loading the car it was improperly secured. The chains were not placed around the chassis even though I pointed out that where they were (on the tow dolly) would be worthless. I was also informed the auxiliary brake lights which I already had purchased were unnecessary. I was pulled over by a polic officer in North Carolina who informed me they were required but was kind enough not to issue me a ticket. After stopping I properly secured the car with the chains as a back up and placed the lights at the end of the vehicle. The tow straps had not been properly centered with the tires and had to be repositioned. The tow dolly itself the wheels were rusty and overall the dolly did not appear to be properly maintained. I consider it a miracle the car did not fall off the tow dolly on the way down prior to me properly securing it.

the truck was very old and "rickity" - felt like we were sliding off the seats in the cab; may be time for an upgrade and was dirty inside the cab. the people at the gas station were friendly and helpful - just the truck needs swapped out for a better one

The truck it’s self was aweful and when you depressed the brake it made an terrible noise with grinding.

The trailer that I leased, had a defective part that failed while crossing a bridge. It could have caused a fatal or at least serious accident. The police were involved and the tow off the bridge to the nearest U-Haul cost me several hundred dollars. The pickup facility has been harassing me because the trailer was not brought back to them...that would have cost me another $200 !

Edgewater BP was wonderful at solving the complete failure to honor my original contract by U-Haul. I AM LIVID!!! I’m a repeat customer who uses U-haul several times a year for loading and unloading my booth at trade show expos. I had a U-Haul reservation for 7am this morning at what was supposed to be a 24/7 pickup location. I showed up at 7am, logged into my account, and was informed that there was no truck available to me. I was given a contact number to call about this issue, which was also noted as a 24/7 contact. No one answered. I left several voicemails and no one ever returned my call from that number. From there, I was on the phone with customer service who rerouted me several times to new extensions. Finally someone said that they were going to send me instructions on how to access a key for the truck. I waited...no call, no text, no email. An HOUR LATER, someone finally was able to send me to another location that opened at 8am with a truck available. I was late to my business expo because of U-haul’s error and lack of ability to solve this problem in any sort of timely manner. U-haul cost me money and business today, and I’m furious. I’d like an explanation of how this went so horribly wrong and how it can be avoided in the future, if I’m ever to rent from U-haul again.

I didn't understand why I had to specifically drop off the Uhaul at the same location. I was under the impression that you can drop it off at any Uhaul dealer. Had to double my mileage to bring the Uhaul back to the original pick up dealer

i spent a long time on-line making the reservation and completing pre check in.. after all that... my reservation was moved without my request to a different store and the only notification was via email... fortunately i checked my email... i called the new location and confirmed... but the attendant was rude and couldn't provide explanation... anyway on pick up day the attendant was rude again and initially couldn't find my reservation... she attempted to find my reservation using my phone number... i offered her the res# too... but she couldn't use it (system issue)... you gotta be kidding me... so what's the use of a res#? anyway eventually the phone number worked...then she asked if i wanted the insurance .. again i had already completed the on-line process and purchased the insurance.... so why ask me again... frustrating... bottomline... process was cumbersome, redundant, chgs made without my request and attendant was rude... so over all experience poor

Lack of qualified support No one was trained in properly hitching the trailer. Adapter was needed for electrical hookup. Adapter not available at pickup location. Had to drive to a hardware store without lights on trailer.

I resreved the equipment and truck a few blocks away from where i lived but had to pick it all up at a much further location. Not even the next closest but several towns away. Added to the cost of milage. I called the help nulmber and the district number for assistance but no matter what they said, i had to pick up the equipment furter away.

When customer asks for a truck closer to his home and they say there is one and at the last minute change it to something in the opposite direction and I wind up paying for 46 miles that I should not have too. I could have used the money for something else

Business is not set up to support U-haul service; the staffing is minimal even on a known busy rental day - so much so that is was 45 minutes before I was served completely despite completing all U-Haul paperwork online in advance. All staff members are trained to serve everyone but U-haul rentals first so this makes even the return process longer than necessary.

We were given a car hauler that we would find out in the middle of the night had broken straps leaving the car to be improperly secured for transport down the highway. We had to use our own straps to secure the vehicle at a cost to us. The oil maintenance light was also turning off and on of the 26' truck. Truck only started with less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Barely making it to be loaded before needing refueling. Location and time changes were also very irritating.
