I was told at the pickup point to deliver the trailer to Central, SC, instead of Easley, SC where we normally drop off the trailer. This was my 5th one to rent for this move. When I got to Central, The Rabbit Hutch would not accept the traitor. She had no room for it, she said. She called U-haul and they told me to take it back to Easley, 900 Pelzer Hwy. When I got there, no one was there. I waited 45 minutes for someone to come take the trailer off my car. He said his truck would not start after he went to get gas. It was truly and exhausting experience. As for the "ratings," they really are not applicable for me. The personnel were "helpful" but not in the way I had expected. Clean and inviting? We had lots of rain; everything was muddy. Recommend to a friend? definitely not the Central, SC location. The 900 Pelzer Hwy, Easley, possibly. His truck situation was, I guess, not his fault; however, I had not planned on spending 45 minutes waiting to leave the trailer, I had a full day, already waiting for me. The experience was a 2 out of 10!

I miscalculated the size trailer that I needed for my move. I needes to movejust 6 pieces of furniture, and I thought that aqueen size bed could fit in the trailer I rented, but the bed would not fit, unfortunately. I called the U-Haul number to see what sort of options I had for hopefully getting a larger size trailer. I was told that I'd have to pay full price for my current trailer, a $50 I correct location fee, plus full price for a new trailer. The mistake was totally my fault. My underestimate of the size trailer I needed was 100% my fault. That said, I would have hoped that U-Haul would have better customer service when helping *loyal* customers with such a mistake. U-Haul is not responsible for this mistake at all. I'm just shocked that there is no "middle ground" option for swapping trailers in this case. I have rented from U-Haul 8 times since 2010. I have never really had a need for any sort of "customer service" remedy for an issue, but I did expect U-Haul to be a bit more helpful here. That said, my experience with Customer Service the only time I really needed it was far below my expectations. I will not be renting from U-Haul in the future based on this.

The inside of windshield and windows were filthy and I had to clean them. The man who rented me the van said he was sorry that the U-Haul person hadn't cleaned it.

Mark was great! I would highly recommend this location again and will use in the future when needed. My only issue is with the actual truck...power windows are a must! And power side view mirrors are needed and for women drivers, who are generally shorter than men, a power seat that rises over the steering wheel is a necessity and added safety feature.

This location was the only positive part of my uhaul experience. This gentleman went out of his way to try to fix the complete and total screw up of every other uhaul representative associated with my rental. I have never been so exasperated with a company. He didn’t even have the equipment your representatives supposedly reserved for me at his location. Nor were the hours I was told to pick up the equipment, even his office hours. I had to make several phone calls prior to the day of pick up to straighten out ( or so I thought) the mess the first representative made, only to find that the second representative screwed things up even worse. All I wanted to do was rent a 10 foot truck from a company that ought to be able to easily handle that request. If not, a simple, “we have no ability to provide you with the service you need” would have been much appreciated, as opposed to the complete and total fiasco I encountered on the day I needed the truck. Further, the complete inability to reach a customer service representative that can actually discuss your complaint is nonexistent. I have yet to have anyone respond to me regarding this mess.

Quickly, it was clean, got the job done, and didn't leave me stranded. First place I went to was suppose to have a 5x8 trailer and they did but would not let me rent it because mine was a one way rental and they had a reservation in two days which had already been confirmed. Kudos to the agent for making sure the reservation could be met and working to find another nearby location with the equipment I needed. The second location had trouble getting the price right but finally figured out how to do a discount to match the online quote I had. He at first said he couldn't, but when I said he could just cancel it and I would reserve online, he went back and amazing figured out how to do the discount. Had problems taking my credit card (it is worn and I have had problems before), then tried a second card. I offered to pay in cash, but he preferred credit card (I'm sure because of a larger deposit and u-haul policy). Only when I said my wife could bring me her card but that would take about 45 minutes, did he figure out he could hand enter the numbers. Well maintained is questionable but I did make the 220 mile trip without incident. However, the wheel bearing assembly on the right side was extremely and should have been replace many rentals again. The place I dropped it off, said they would not let it go out again until it was looked at. I understand slop in a trailer bearing is typical, but the other side was nice and tight, the right side allowed the outside edge of the wheel to move about 1/2".
