No issues with drop off. They are seldom open but the yard for drop off is easy to access and always open. I would hate to rent there since they must keep very irregular hours but for drop off, no problem

I scheduled to drop off the truck at Hinds & Hinds downtown. I arrived an hour early and the agent there told me he had no room for the truck so I needed to take it to the Northside location. I went to the Northside location and they were closed for New Year’s Eve. I called the original location and they had closed as well, leaving me to do a phone-in check-in of the truck, all of which took me an hour longer than it should have and delayed some important matters to which I needed to attend. Not helpful and very inconvenient. This was on top of not being able to get the size truck I needed causing me to have to pay $100 extra for a huge truck I didn’t need.

I was charged $5.00 for furniture blankets and none were in the truck. I was charged $5.00 for a dolly and it was in the truck, but I did not request one as we had our own. Other than that, everything was fine. Please refund me the $10.00. Thank you, Genevieve

Alicia was fantastic. She found me a great storage shed and switched it from one with only a dirt floor to a solid floor. On the day of the truck rental she was welcoming and explained everything thoroughly.

after being told what I was going to load into the truck, a motorcycle, they rented me a truck with no ramp. Caused quite the problem of getting the big bike loaded!

The vehicle was NOT in good condition. It was not was even not cleaned out from the last person and was dirty and low on power steering fluid. In fact, we later found out that it was leaking said power steering fluid, so we had to add it several times. The driver's side mirror was loose, bouncing all around to the point that we had to stop and fix it. And when we went to install the U-Haul lock, we discovered that the latch was bent and spread too wide, so we had to hammer it back in place ourselves. Unfortunately, we discovered this after we were packed, so we had to go out and buy a hammer a all of our tools were previously packed. Perhaps most distressingly, the passenger’s side door tended to not fully close and come loose on the highway many times; the only solution was to slam it absurdly hard. Even the tow dolly had issues, as at one point we stopped for gas to discover that ratchet strap had come off. We had put it on correctly in the first place. It should be noted that the driver of the vehicle is a regular driver of such Uhauls, Ryders, and Penskes (or all sizes) through his work, and has never encountered problems like this. Generally, Hinds and Hinds does a great job, but this was ridiculous. I know, however, that the vehicle had literally JUST been returned to them – in fact we’d received a call the day before that the truck would not be back in time for our originally scheduled pick-up - so I am guessing that they simply didn’t have time to deal with any issues in a super quick turnaround. Taos is a small town and things happen, but this caused some serious issues for us.

I have a problem with your online team. I called and wanted to STOP the insurance payment at the end of my contract AS THE TRUCK was parked in a hotel parking lot awaiting home sale allowing furniture move into the house. The online person said she put in a not to have me pay ONLY the extra $40 day for the truck. Now I find out that my additonal cost was over $72. I dropped off the rental on a Sunday and the establishment was closed with a key drop off. Parking was a little bit unclear but there didn't seem to be any problems for the people to finish the return on Monday.

We had our truck reserved for Santa Fe. The day before our move you called to tell us no truck. We had to make a 5-hour round trip to Taos to pick it up before we could begin to load. The Taos facility and staff were just fine. But by not honoring our original reservation you caused us great stress, loss of time, and extra work. The crew we had hired to load the truck could not shift their schedule, and so we not only had the extra five hours of driving to get the truck, we then had to load it ourselves.
