Our entire experience was terrible, but it was not specific to this location. Our reservation was booked for the wrong time and wrong city several times, and each time I called ahead of time to get it straightened out, I was told it was taken care of and was told I would receive an email confirmation, but the confirmation never came and sure enough, our drop off location was once again never changed. After the second time this happened, I was told by the gentleman at our pickup location (Detroit on Warren Ave) that he could not fix the problem, that I would have to call uhaul traffic department. Then when I did so, the man at uhaul traffic was not only completely unhelpful by telling me that he wouldn’t stand behind what the man at the Detroit branch said, but he was ridiculously rude to me about it on top of it. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with my moving company making many mistakes, not following through on fixing those mistakes when they say they will, not providing documentation of the changes, and making me call in multiple times to get the same mistake fixed and dealing with rude employees while doing so. As if the whole experience wasn’t horrible enough with just that, then I was double charged by uhaul which ended up triggering a fraud alert on my credit card. When I called in to report and get to the bottom of the second unnecessary charge, the employee was completely unconcerned and uninterested in finding out why the double charge had been attempted. We closed on our sale before we closed on our buy so we had originally been planning on using uhaul to move into our new house as well as moving out of our condo, but if something isn’t done about all this then we will never be using your company again.

i drove to los Angeles without a break light on the passenger side nobody had the tow dolly and the two i did find had tail lights that didnt work so i spent 200 dollars getting my van checked because i didnt want to drive without turning signals and break lights and still ended up doing it i lost two days trying to fix this

Acted like they had no clue what was going on an both the straps on the trailer were cut so they almost did not fit an the ends of each trap were so messed up from being cut that it was so difficult to get them into the ratchet.

I reserved a rental 3 weeks prior at a facility close by. Last minute I received notice that the rental wasn't available at my desired location. The recommended location was an extra 1 1/2 hour drive. After consulting an agent we found one that was 1/2 hr out of our way. Please make a better effort to ensure a reserved rental is at the desired location.
