There were issues with the height of the vehicle that I was pulling. They talked about how I could get it on the dolly but there were no provisions to assist in making that happen. It would be helpful to the customer if 12 inch planks or either purchased or at least suggested bed can be purchased from Home Depot before hand To assist in loading vehicles.

I made an appointment to have the wiring installed on my hitch for a new trailer. When I made the appointment on the phone I was told it would take about an hour and I would be able to just wait there. I made the appointment for 8:30 am so that I could then use my car for the rest of the work day. I'm a landscaper and need my car for work. When I dropped off my car I was then told that it would be ready by the end of the day. I said that I was told it would only take an hour and the response was that the hitch person wasn't even there yet and it was a call center who made the reservation and they didn't quote the right time. I was upset and then needed to rent a truck to use for the day because, like I said, I need my car. The truck rental was an added expense that I was not planning on. It was then 5:45 pm that I was called and told that they hadn't even started working on my car because they were still working on another one. They promised that they would start on my car first thing in the morning. Again, I was upset but needed the wiring installed and since they promised it would be done first thing I figured it would be okay and they said they wouldn't charge me for an extra day with the truck. The next day I waited and called at around 11:30 am to see if my car was ready. The woman who answered the phone looked at my name and said that my car was ready to pick up. When I went to drop off the truck I saw that my car was in the garage being worked on. I told the manager that I had just been told my car was ready and again he told me that it was the call center who gave me incorrect information and he said that my car would be ready in about an hour or hour and a half. I had to grab tools out of the back of my car to use since I'd originally left them in there thinking it would only take an hour. I was finally called at about 4:30 and told that my car was ready to pick up. This was 4 hours after being told it would take one more hour. In the end, a service that I was told would take 1 hour actually took 32 hours and I felt that I was strung along the whole time. It is clear that there is a lack of communication between the call centers and the stores and their time estimates are way off. U-Haul is great for rentals but I would never want to go back for hitch services and would not recommend anyone else use their hitch services either. Overall it was a very frustrating experience.

Billy was great and very helpful! He definitely went out of his way to make sure everything went smoothly with my pickup. The man working the pick-up and drop-off was also very friendly, though I didn't catch his name. In all this is a great branch! I've used 5-6 different branches before (mostly on the east coast) and this was definitely the best experience I've had.

We were billed for fuel for approximately 2 gallons and only went 10 miles. This suggests that your trucks’ fuel economy is 5mpg which is lower than advertised or is reasonable. While not a huge amount of money, it was disappointing to be taken advantage of in this way especially after having rented two trucks within the week.

The truck assigned to me was horrible unsatisfied and very unsanitary. The steering wheel was very wobbly and the truck had a very bad odor. I wasn't given the rate given if I brought in the quote from budget or/and pennske at first. I had to talk to several customer service reps in order to finally get it. I had a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH U-HAUL AND WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

Clean exterior of vehicles. My vehicle had all kinds of bug stains on the windshield. I ended up paying $80 more than the amount I was quoted on the phone. I should have been told about all of the extras I would probably buy when I first reserved the truck. I reserved the truck over the phone via the 800 number because the website wasn't working properly

Everything went well! Truck was available on time, was clean and ran smoothly (and was easy to drive- a 15 footer!) They were professional and helpful and it all went well. The only thing I have a comment on is the U-Haul moving helpers site. They give options and suggestions of how many men and how many hours, but they didn't have a business option. I was moving half of an 800 sf office, so I thought two men in two hours would do the trick, but they told me immediately my estimate was off and they'd need more time. I would have been happy to pay them for more time but only had a certain amount of cash for tip, and there was no way to add a billing. Plus, being a business office, they don't let you move during office hours, so it was the end of day and they clearly didn't want to work longer hours. It all worked out in the end - my 70 yo husband and I had to move the second half the next day but I would have loved for the helpers part to have included a real person rather than it all be automated. The truck rental part was great.

We loaded a cargo trailer 5’x 8’ and the lock was broken. No one inspected it before they hooked it up to our car and we drove away with a trailer and no metal lock. The metal was bent and broken.

The North Park Hill store location is consistently understaffed which results in crazy customer delays with long lines and only 1 person at the counter.
