1. I made my reservation at 10 AM for a 3:00 pickup. I arrive promptly to find out that the truck I reserved was not there. 2. I ask if my reservation can be transferred to another location and they said they had to send a text. I got on the phone myself to speak to another location that was ready to accommodate but the truck arrived while I was on the phone. (15 min after scheduled pickup) 3. They asked for my license and card for payment which I provided then the clerk advises he needs to take a photo of my license. I advise I completed all steps online with the pre check in and could see the front and back of my license on their computer. He then states he needed to take a photo of me with my license held up to my face.. should I be worried about fraud activity now?! 4. No walk through of the vehicle before I drove off. Chips were on the floor with a Christmas ornament rolling around. 5. Overall horrible experience. Clerks were not apologetic or professional. I'll go through a different carrier in the future.Marquel R.

The trucks gas gauge must have been messed up. I put more gas in it than it had originally. but the gauge showed otherwise. So I got charged extra.Sawyer K.
Be Careful!!! The 15' truck I reserved and rented was in horrible condition... The transmission was in desperate need for service and the vehicle only started after sitting for a while (and sometimes even struggled then too). The uncertainty of the vehicle's reliability made for unnecessary stress on an already stressful day filled with time restraints and obligations that go with moving out of a house. I can't believe UHAUL had this vehicle in the rotation to be rented. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED!David S.
TERRIBLE EXPERIANCE.... Googled the closest Uhaul to me, well it gave me 6397 Middlebelt Rd and a phone # 734-403-4186 . Called the # and reserved a Uhaul for the next day mind you this was for a job I am an independent contractor. Next morning get up and go to pick up truck, and after driving back and fourth numerous times we finally realize the building is vacant and for sale...... There was a man there doing some electrical work and informs us that it was sold awhile ago and that there is another Uhaul on Michigan Ave in Inkster which he informed us was a really big one. So we get there and that lady informs us that our truck is at another location 4650S Beech Daly St Dearborn Heights ... So we head there which they dont open till 10, well of coarse the man isn't there on time but finally shows up around 10:10.. Finally get the truck and it's 39 miles to empty......... So now being way behind schedule we can't get the job done within the 1 day we had rented it for and it took an extra day... So not only did it make my company look bad it cost me more money.. Called costumer service and they acted very concerned and reassured me that someone from upper management would call me in the next few days ...GUESS WHAT NO CALL.......... BIG SUPRISE.... AND THE KICKER IS WE GO TURN IT IN AND GET OVER CHARGED ... I HAVE NEVER TOOK TIME TO WRITE A REVIEW THIS LONG I HATE TYPING AND ALSO HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BAD EXPERIANCE WITH A COMPANY AND THE FACT THAT UHAUL COULD'T EVEN REACH BACK OUT TO ME REALLY MAKES ME MAD..... I HOPE SOMEONE IN UPPER MANAGEMENT SEES THIS AND MAKES IT RIGHT WITH ME AND MY COMPANY AND ALSO CORRECTS ITS GOOGLE ADDRESES .......clark A.
My original reservation was for 8am on 9/17 at the S Wayne rd Westland location. On Thursday, 9/15 I was called and they told me my reservation needed to be moved to the Beech Daly location still at 8am on 9/17 using truckshare. When I arrived at the Beech Daly location, I opened the truckshare link and it said that truck share was not available. When I called I was told that the truck was not set up properly and I would have to wait until the location opened at 10 am, 2 hours after my original reservation. I was told that saturdays are the busiest days so they would try to find another 20' truck available and comp miles, however the closest 20' truck was nearly an hour away and that would still set me back 2 hours. The location that had the 20' truck available was the highland rd location where I would be returning the truck and where I left that morning to go pick up the truck from the Dearborn heights location. When I went at 10 am to pick up the truck that I should have had at 8 am, the employee was confused when he checked me in and the key was in the lock box as he had set it up for truck share the night before. I am extremely disappointed with my experience with uhaul overall.Veronica E.
