The equipment was dirty and the wiring for the tow connection was exposed I had to ask for black electrical tape. I was also told by a Tamara that even if I did not return the equipment by 9am the next day I would only be charged for 1-day rental. I was then charged for a 2-day rental. My issue is not paying for what I used my issue is that I was LIED to about it. I expected to pay for 2 days knowing I could not tmreturn by 9am the next day but when I was told that I would be charged for a 1 day rental and that is not what happens Inhave an issue with it. I expect to not be lied to while doing business. This is why I will not recommend this location to anyone and why they scored 1 star if 0 stars was an option that is what I would rate them. Their is no place for lying especially when conducting business.

Rented truck at different location. Arrived on time to get truck, was told they didn't have truck, and sent me across town to get it. Was told it was their mistake and that I'd get a discount due to the error. Received no discount... Will avoid doing business with again.

I rent for business purposes. I have rented several times over the past few months. I have 4 rentals scheduled in Oct. and will be renting at least twice per month until June. I am frustrated at this location having only one employee in the morning. I register in advance and still have to wait for a line of others who are not pre-rented to decide and pick up equipment. Then I have to wait for her to hook them up or get their rental. While the employee is very nice and does a great job--- they need another person there to help her. One time there were 5 people in line before me! Staffing in the morning is ridiculous. I may need to switch locations or companies.

uhaul messed my complete order up on a truck and trailer and made it impossible for me to ever want to use uhaul again. davenport location was accomadating but uhaul and the scheduling place completely screwed me up

I spent 20 minutes on hold with Uhaul before leaving to get my truck to make sure everything was okay, as it was a 35 minute drive away. I was assured everything was good to go. My pickup time was 10 a.m. . I arrived, stood in line for just a couple of minutes, and at 10:09 when I got to the counter was informed that they had given my truck away since I was not there at 10. I was sure he was joking. He was not. No phone call, no grace period...nothing. Are you fucking kidding me? Is this standard procedure? I think the staff at Spruce Hills Bettendorf need to be sat down and given some training. I will not recommend them to anyone. I had to drive 20 minutes the opposite direction to get a truck that fit my needs. I will say that the gal at the Davenport store was quite nice and accommodating.

The auto port was reserved on a Friday but not picked up until Saturday and was thoroughly discussed with the staff at this location they told me that my U-Haul should be fully packed before they add that Autoport to the U-Haul it wouldn't be much easier so I told them that I would come back the next day which was Saturday and have them connected for me and show me how to use it so I did and it was returned the next day on a Sunday so that was one day that I use that Autoport but was charged for 3 days when I checked out at the West Kimberly U-Haul location I specifically asked Tamara why was I being charged so much she said that's how much it was she never took the time to look and see that I was being charged for 3 days question if I'm returning a U-Haul in two days why would I keep the Autoport for 3 days and you have to have Auto Part connected to the actual U-Haul trailer! Overall I didn't feel like I was given good customer service I will not use U-Haul I will not recommend U-Haul and I've already called friends and family and told them about my horrible experience when you move from one state to another to another location it should be something that's joyous and exciting and happy and your customer service experience no matter what you're doing should always be exceptional this was not exceptional it was unacceptable. I'm a manager for a large retailer I pride myself on giving great customer service because I like receiving great customer service I go over and Beyond the expectations of my guests to shop with me in the store I expected the same with my experience with U-Haul but I did not receive it at any of the locations.

I have never rented from U-haul before. I needed a big trailer to haul my sons eagle scout project materials to site so rented a 6x12 trailer. I was very surprised at the reasonable rate! The staff was very helpful and the trailer ready to go in good shape. I will be renting again!

We ordered a 26 foot truck and only got a 20 foot because there wasn’t any 26 foot available. This caused us to make 2 trips instead of 1 which doubled our miles. The CSR at the Bettendorf location was very rude and unwilling to do anything to help. We then wanted to rent more blankets but of course the “entire QC are out of blankets.” Then we had to bring the truck back an hour earlier from what we agreed upon so someone else could use it. All in all this was an awful experience and I will never use U-HAUL again and will let others know to be cautious before renting with U-HAUL as well.

When I was supposed to pick up my uhaul car trailer at the Utica ridge road location in Bettendorf Iowa they messed up my reservation and sent me to the Kimberly road Davenport Iowa location which was a great inconvenience due to my tight schedule. I was not able to keep my schedule and would like compensation for the screw up

The rental was a mistake from the beginning. My u-haul was booked for the wrong day and had to go through steps to get another one. It was extremely stressful. The u-haul was difficult to handle and total concentration was needed to keep it on the road according to my husband. Have never had any problems with u-haul before and was very disappointed with this experience.
