Truck stunk and had roaches. Complained to the female clerk who did nothing and said nothing other than , yea an antique dealer had it before you... 24.00 for 2 gallons of gas was thievery. never again

You can start by fixing you area Mangers customers service. Dustin Painter was Zero help for me. I tried renting this truck the night before and had all kinds of problems. It cost me $250.00 for movers who couldn’t move anything because i had no truck. I have phone records to show that i was on the phone with Uhaul for about 3-1/2 hours total for all the calls i made to fix this situation. I get a call from the area mgr Dustin Painter who i assumes could help me....... but no he hung up on me neever saying he was sending someone to open up and get me a truck. And also telling the mgr there at the mini storage that i was a black guy standing out front waiting to get a truck. 1 i never meet this guy so i don’t no how he assumed i was a black guy... his words in a text message to his store mgr. i really would like someone NOT him to call me back about this mix up.

When renting, the female employee was fine. There was an issue with the pricing not matching my previous reservation. When I called to inquire the next day (I returned the truck the evening before, after hours) I was insulted and treated horribly by Dillon (I think that was his name). I called customer service and thought I had it resolved on Saturday. Yesterday (Monday), I spoke to the district manager and he stated that her was looking at my contract and didn't see any issue. There wouldn't be any issues if the contract had matched the quote I was given. He said a quote on Thursday would not be the same as the quote on Friday.... The reservation was made on Thursday FOR FRIDAY. Why would the quote for a Friday rental change in 18 hours???? This is extremely frustrating and I will be spreading the word how U-Haul (at least in Davenport) is not Customer friendly. Feel free to call me to discuss 267-242-2713

Staff are friendly but the reason for the 3 star is because the staff doesn't explain how to use the vehicle. I've rented a vehicle twice from this location and each time no one took the time to explain the features of the vehicle as I've never driven a pick up truck and a 15' van and had a lot of problems figuring out features of the vehicles. The 15' van was very difficult to drive as the side view mirrors were very difficult to adjust and it seemed run down. Once I parked the van, it was very difficult taking the key out. I finally realized that the key has to be pushed in and than turn it towards me and it releases. The second time when I ranted from this location, I wasn't even shown where the vehicle was parked. My son and I were walking around trying to figure out where it was parked.

The personnel was unsmilingly unhelpful and refused to rectify the $40 discrepancy in fuel. Very disappointing. I feel ripped off.

I had to call and schedule another location because the one they gave me was 20 Miles away I’ve rented from uhaul a number of times and this was by far the most stressful move I’ve had

The wipers need to be repaired, headlamps refocused and transmission need work. I did not feel safe with this truck. I would ask for a refund, but I had to use this type of truck.

The truck I rented had items that needed attention. The windshield wipers dragged for four hours during rain, very annoying noise. The tires needed rebalancing , very rough and the steering was side to side. The engine had a bad idling issue when stopped somewhere. I was charged a credit card fee, which I would have paid by check had I known this. I dropped the truck off after hours and then I was sent a final bill by email. This should have been explained I would have made arrangements for final payment. I should have been compensated for the problems I had with this vehicle. The location and the person ( Darrell) was very easy to work with during the pick up time.

While the location and equipment was nice and I got a lot of calls leading up to pickup, I was given misleading information about dropoff procedures which almost cost me. I was not shown how to use the auto transport trailer and told I would have instructions which I didn’t receive by email until after I returned it, and given a folded up receipt with conflicting information from what I was verbally told that, again, almost cost me. Basically the whole process could have been more thorough

The insurance option was not explained thoroughly although it was purchased; things such as limits,coverage,etc...$14 extra that perhaps was already included in the $19.99 fee. Almost $80.00 The insurance part was not transparent.

Staff did not pull truck around, I had to walk through the lot to get to it (they did not do a walk around with me to check for prior damage) and when I did the truck smelled horribly of cigarettes for which I’m now being charge a $25 cleaning fee (I’m allergic to cigarette smoke), fortunately I only had to drive it a few miles. The truck itself also had the “engine” light on which caused me to have to return to the facility where they told me that the mechanics forgot to reset it after it had been serviced (they could have told me this BEFORE I left), causing me to waste precious mileage. Go anywhere but Uhaul! Never. Again.

The actual store was not open upon drop off so these ratings are not about drop off but the actual area. No clear sign for truck drop off. The online instructions were lacking in clarity. I left with an uncertainty that where the truck was was correct, and customer service, after a 15 minute wait, told me I was on my own. Very disappointed.

The auto hauler was in bad shape. It was almost impossible to get the tire strap fasteners to work. I pointed it out where I dropped it off. They took it off line and scheduled it for repair.

Contacted customer services as I have not received copies of the final invoice to be able to tie the payment up to what has actually been taken from my bank account.. I spoke to Marsha Powell who kept telling me to go to the website told her I had already tried this and was unable to get the copies. She said she had emailed them to me but when I said they hadn't come through I was told to get off the phone. I am still waiting for the invoices.
