The rental truck engine ran fine even though it had over 155,000 mikes. If you want rattles this is the truck for you. Everyone will know you are coming to a ref light because the squeal from the breaks is an safety feature. However the AC stopped working 150 miles into a 500 mile trip. Very hot and humid 5+ hour drive. With rain and therefore, the defrost did not clear the windshield.

I didn't realize how difficult moving can be, however the U-Haul rental was a plus in the process. The people were helpful and explained everything about the truck, the truck was in good condition. In short, the process was easy.

I reserved a U-Haul truck to move my brother's and my own stuff across the bay in Mobile. What I did not like was that I had not requested a dolly/hand truck or moving blankets, as I already had my own (and I didn't want to pay the fees for them), however, they were inside the truck mounted to the interior of the U-Haul, which took up space. If I moved them, I would have had to break the seal resulting in me being charged for "using" them. It would be an improvement to not include these in the truck when The customer specifically chooses not to reserve them for their move. It took up space that I needed and was a hinderance to fit some long items such as couches and beds.

Terrible experience. Will never go through uhaul again. I used the location in Daphne on 98. The man was rude & rushed us. We finally got checked out and we had to ask him to walk with us so we could look everything over & see any previous damage if there was any. (I figured everyone would do this seeing as if you don't you could be charged for damage there prior to your rental). Inside of the uhaul there was a dolly and blankets zip tied onto the side that took up about 1.5 foot space of the entrance. We were told don't break the zip tie and you will not be charged for this. My husband told the employee that it was not necessary to keep it in there because we will not need to use them. He then politely asked him to remove them from the uhaul so they would not be in the way. The employee said "you'll be fine" and turned around and walked away. I could not believe how rude that was! 1.5 foot of space may not seem like a big deal to someone but when we are paying over $50 for a uhaul we expect to be able to use every inch of it and not have to worry about things being in the way. After this, we took the uhaul home. The move went well, uhaul worked fine. At 8:40am the next morning (we had the uhaul until 6pm) the same employee called me to ask me if we were almost done with it because there was another person there hoping to rent it. Are you kidding me?!?! We paid to have it until 6pm and you're calling me SEVERAL hours prior and wanting me to bring it back for someone else??? Anyway, horrible experience. I would not recommend this company.

Two man shop. Local outfit. Not inviting. Told to wait -- 10 - 15 minutes while both employees worked together on a single vehicle. When asked how long it would take, was told 5 - 10 minutes. Process was slow and employee was friendly enough, but customer service was terrible. On a Sunday morning when a customer calls ahead to say he's picking up at 9 (getting there early) and is told to wait in the summer heat while both employees tend to an oil change while that customer sits in her air conditioned car doesn't sit well with proactive people who have taken it upon themselves to complete the entire process online.
