Windshield was too dirty and build up fog over the course of time which make the visibility hard especially when sun is beaming down all you see is smears.
I wasn't expecting a great service specially when I have a bad experience on a different truck rentals, but it's a different when I went to u-haul, it was a great service from getting reservations online, through picking up the truck. It was no hustle. Great service hands down.
I went to check and pay for my rental truck. There was a miscommunication about my miles. I had to go home to reschedule with the traffic number. The traffic person said he could have modified the reservation so I would not have wasted a day. There was only one person, I had to wait both times I was picking my rental up.
My experience was great this time. I did it all through the online process so quick and easy. Only reason I said it is average the parking is a little difficult small parking lot.
The location was closed despite the scheduled being posted as open both google and at the door. I was expecting to buy supplies but I had to change plans. Also, I keep getting the notification whenever I pass by the location on the freeway. You should disable that functionality when the booking was closed.
Fix your application, your representative told us to put in anytime online and then pickup the U-Haul. This was inaccurate and resulted in an extra trip across the city to another location only to be sent back after talking to customer service. Delayed our move resulting in driving through a monsoon in the Oregon mountains.

This location was great. What wasn't great was that my reservations were at Parkmerced. I made the reservations 3 weeks prior and confirmed the night before. I arrived and ..... no van. They had me drive to Daly City. The $50 money back was good but it should be for $100- $200. Being late because of not having the van at 9 am as planned, we got stuck in traffic - and the movers in Santa Rosa were waiting as I was late. They charge by the hour. Some one could have at least called me.
Checking in to pick up vehicle was not smooth. Employee had to manually check me in to pick up key.
the equipment was clean but not well maintained, the tire pressure sensor on my rental uhaul truck keeps coming on
Windshield was filthy and hard to see out. I tried to clean but but the bugs were baked on. Also cab of the truck was dirty. Didn't seem like it was cleaned at all. Especially during this pandemic I would think you would keep things super clean.
Was very happy with Central Self Storage 307 87th St Daly City, CA 94015, just not happy with the overall experience with the Uhaul app.
mobile app is a joke, kept crashing, take a picture this take a picture that, took 15 minutes as the truck had warning on the dash , so open door close door, i ended up just uploading pictures of the side of the truck, the location is terrible, 4 spaces in a small parking lot, I had to fight with 2 customers of the small shopping area to move their cars out of the uhaul section, I am far too busy for this BS, took over 15 minutes to perform the return of the truck.
Shared parking lot with a market and had to wait for several cars to move to manage parking during return.
Parking the truck was a nightmare especially if most of the other trucks are present. You need to allow on street parking if all parking spaces are nearly full.
I left 3 messages over 3 days and didn't receive a return call until I called and emailed the area manager. An issue that had gone unresolved for 4 days was suddenly resolved the day after I reached out to the next level of management.
All ways use U-Haul
The gas cap is broken it took about a half hour to fill up the tank. The bed of the truck was dirty. The shocks on the car seemed really loose or the steeringâ€”I'm not too sure. And the brakes made a grinding sound the whole way. Customer service itself was great! The dolly and materials used were very helpful. The people were helpful. Hoping this was just a bad apple type of experience. I did get over charged for an extra dayâ€” but I will call to explore that.
They charged me twice!
The online check in took too long and I was having some troubles but the employee at the location was not willing to help at all and just kept the store door locked saying due to covid-19
One of the worst Uhaul (service) location
I was charged twice. And told I'll get the money back in 3-5 business days. I was counting on that 80 dollars for my bills I need to pay. I have used U-Haul in the past and was never charged a hold fee and then again at the end of the rental. This is ridiculous.
Please check on your employee at this location. He was on break the whole time. I waited for him so many times and he seems not to stay inside the office. When I got inside the 10" truck, the truck was not clean. There were water bottles and unused boxes inside. When I started the truck, there is a noise coming from the car and red flashes showing indicating there is something wrong. I tried to drive it just around the parking to test it but the loud noise won't stop and I really feel there is something wrong because I could not drive it well. I decided to go back to the office to ask the guy on what's wrong with the car but then he is on break again just after he gave me the key. I could not drive the car cause it keeps on stopping I might get into an accident. He said there is nothing wrong it's probably just the water bottle and said it should be okay because they just gave it back. He didn't bother to check the red flashes. So I tried to drive it again and then the red flashes shows that the tire pressures are low. That is why I could not drive it and it was really bad. I went back again after 5 minutes of trying to drive it and then this guy is On break again and Im waiting again outside. Not to mention all the time wasted waiting for him and not decided on helping me. I complained to him that the tires are low. He was laughing at me and said that it's just probably the sensor. I said no. It was bad that I could not really drive it. He was aware that the truck was so bad even the first time I complained. Then he said okay, he just gave me another key to drive other truck. I asked him if ever I can be a little be late cause of the incovenience I received from his and the truck I am losing time which I only rented the car for 2 hours and it was already almost 1 hour wasted since I kept going back and forth inside the office waiting for him and complaining about the car.
Parking for drop off was extremely difficult in this location. Almost couldn't park before time was up due to waiting for an appointed spot.
