Workers were very off putting not the biggest help, kinda felt like they had attitudes with the questions I was asking them, I love u-haul but I will not be going to this one ever again.
Your team rented me a wrecked truck. I was a paying customer and the manager would not let park in front of the building. They took forever to process my rental but would answer the phone rather than process the rental. They received many personal cell texts which they prioritize over my rental. They were making & their smoke breaks took priority over me rental. If I hired those 3, I would fire myself for hiring them. Enough said ...
Early bird pick up was seamless. Outstanding customer service all around.
Well firstly I was told I had to rent do you have on the app so I did which was fairly cumbersome for me I gave an estimated pick up time of 10 AM and I said I was keeping it for 24 hours and I paid for it. Circumstances of the morning I did not arrive to the U-Haul location until 1230 and they canceled my reservation I said but I paid for it why would you cancel it when I put my credit card in the U-Haul app information I said I didn't realize you would not hold the vehicle so then it took another 30 to 40 minutes for her to slowly go after I rented the truck I was told I could not return it anywhere but this location that was extremely inconvenient for me and add an additional 34 miles to the vehicle it was not necessary returning it after 10 PM at night in the dark. Outside taking pictures of the vehicle and all that crap that your app requires when I rent a car all I have to do is park at the parking lot drop the keys in the box and I'm gone they have all my information of somethings wrong they know where to get me this was just awful I will Never rent another U-Haul truck it has been 20 years since I've done so and hopefully never will need to do so I will figure something else out if I ever am in need again bottom line I feel like I spent 30 $35 more than I needed to because of having to rent the truck return the truck to the same location when there was one five minutes from the home that we took the items to this also resulted in my nephew making three 37mile trips in one day. And me having to then drive him home at 11 pm which is a round trip of almost 80 miles. Why was I. It told this was not a, and I quote a rotation vehicle as I said it's been a while since I've rented a U-Haul maybe this is something new but I always thought you could drop them off at your Destiination point would've been nice to of known I probably would've gone down and rented a vehicle at the one close to the Destiination point would've been easier late at night. The location treat you like you're a second-class citizen and you're going to be run through the drill and better not make the matter they might tell you they don't have a truck.
Sinceramente la persona de atenciÃ³n al cliente. EspecÃficamente la que se encarga de la renta del camiÃ³n. Le hace falta un poco de entrenamiento con relaciÃ³n al cliente. MÃ¡s en los tiempos en que vivimos que las personas lo menos que necesitan es llegar a un lugar. Y que la persona que se supone sea amable con uno. Parezca que le cuesta trabajar. Definitivamente este es un lugar que por nada del mundo recomendarÃa para servicio. Y recomiendo que esta persona realmente sea reentrenada en cuanto a servicio al cliente.
I arranged for the 24 hour access on booking. When I arrived - i could not get key. I had to wait until they open as the truck assigned had not been checked i after previous use. I had movers waiting at the other end I still had to pay so I called uhaul. You rep HUNG UP on me. Admittedly I was frustrated but i was paying out of pocket and being told the service I was paying for was not available. The ladies AT the location were outstandingly friendly. And understood my frustration. At this point I woUld recommend community self storage but not uhaul.
My only complaint was that I rented an appliance dolly and was told it was in the truck that I rented. However when I got to my location there was no dolly. Went back and was told that someone must have taken it out if the truck and they didn't have any extras
I had multiple issues with getting in the vehicle on the time requested. I had to redo the entire process multiple times. I had the website AND the app glitch out on me, I had to call customer service twice to get the problem finally remedied. It took 2 hours to get into the uhaul. It delayed me picking up what I needed and wasted my time and I only used the uhaul for barely two hours and drove like, 20 miles and was charged $76 dollars. $76 dollars for 2 hours. I rented a uhaul to move from san marcos to houston had it available for 2 days and 180 miles and it was a larger uhaul and it cost me $210 dollars. You're telling me that me renting a smaller uhaul to use for barely 2 hours should cost me 1/3 of the price it did for all I got for the other one? I've used uhaul everytime for every move but after this headache I am never using uhaul ever again and am recommending your competitors to everyone I know.
The lady working at the time was very rude fro me the beginning. Walked in and was asked how could we help you and when I stated that I was here for a reservation she rudely said â€œover there â€œ I kept calm while the gentleman was so patient. Upon returning the truck I walked in and said I'm all done and again the rude lady took the keys and threw them in the box. I asked was someone going to check the truck she said not right now someone will go later so I asked for the keys so I can take picking of the gas and odometer readings. Again the rude lady there the keys on the counter. I walked back in with the keys and said thank you and the rude lady NEVER said a work ðŸ˜¡ I wish I would have spent my money when I felt valued as a customer
Rental truck it want clean,vacuum, or signs been disinfected. Truck need to be check Daily and need to be inspected.
App would not let me return van...I am glad someone was working the business counter to receive the van. Service at location was somewhat dry, not friendly, but not bad either.
When wanting to add another day I was told no as they had another customer renting the truck. But at 6pm the truck was still sitting in there parking lot.
The lady in the office was very short and acted as if she was very inconvenienced by having to process the rental. I will rent a truck elsewhere in the future.
Is really poor the way you guys do business First and list time hiring you guys. Truck was dirty 1/8 of gas dose t cost 20 dollars

I had the self check in and he didn't put the key in the box so I had to go in to get it. He didn't wear a mask. The truck was DIRTY! It was NEVER cleaned from the previous user! Hair, dirty seats and floor. This during a PANDEMIC! His excuse he was by himself at 10 am with The place empty! No excuse to rent someone a filthy truck without being cleaned during COVID 19!
Service very impersonal, possibly due to COVID concerns. Truck not checked in at time of return, check in completed later and receipt emailed. Worked well but would have been very frustrating had there been a disagreement about items returned or their condition.
The truck sounded like it was in pretty bad shape - lots of rattling whenever I accelerated. Made me wonder if it was going to survive the trip. The requirement to install the app infuriated me. The representative couldn't be bothered to assist me beyond telling me I could go check out the truck myself from the dashboard... she didn't even explain that the app was required and I had to pry the information out of her. The app is also a crapshoot. It glitches out and logs whatever info it wants to, it fails to upload photos, and it attempts to gather excessive amounts of personal info. I'll just go to Penske next time and avoid the hidden charges and hassle.
No one showed me the truck I was given the keys and just ignored after the keys were handed to me I eased told where the truck was parked I wasn't told the check engine light was on and didn't notice till later I was treated rudely by the lady the I checked in with the other lady was nice. I was made to feel like trash.
Checking out with the app is a little confusing. There was about a ten minute delay where the app was â€œverifyingâ€. When I asked the person inside what that meant, she said they were calling the references I left. 1) why would you wait until the time I'm picking up the U-Haul to verify? And 2) the person I put down as my reference was with me when I picked up the U-Haul and his phone never rang. If no one was in the office to explain, I would have been even more confused than I already was. Also, when I made the reservation online, the only option it gave me was to pick up via app, so I was required to do it that way. I did not appreciate that. Lastly, I didn't like how I was required to check the uhaul back in with the app or else I'd be charged $20. I don't understand why I would be charged extra for you all to do your job.
I have rented from this location before and did not have an issue but this time around I ran into two issues 1) I requested counter service and when I arrived the Rep said that 'Corp' wanted everyone to do check in using the App-I have requested counter service before because it felt safer than going through the path in the App where I stand outside and have to take photos, etc. 2) the Cargo Van smelled like cigarette smoke have an allergy to cigarette smoke and today-I am ill. It was very strong and leaving the windows down did not help. I returned the van and did not use for the full job I had or time I reserved because of that.
