The manager there I believe his name was Dimitri was a complete and total jerk. I first pulled up and he would tell me where to park and just told me to drive around. Without giving me any suggestions. He then tried to charge me for gas that I did that with him for. I had taken a picture before I left and showed him after he tried to charge me. And man, he told me that I would be charged $34, and then I check my bank statements and I'm charged $40. Overall, this guy does not have the temperament for this job and makes your company look bad.

I made a reservation for a pick-up truck but upon arrival was told that this location does not have pick-up trucks and that I made the reservation for a cargo van. Which I did not. Because a van would not work for my needs I was forced to rent a larger more expensive truck. I was not informed that insurance charges were being added to my contract. And was not offered the option to waive the insurance nor prove that I was already covered by my own insurance. In fact, I was never shown my contract at all. I was only told the total charges after returning the truck. I was upset and disappointed with the entire experience. I will never return to that location and will explore other moving truck companies before renting from U-Haul again.

I am extremely unhappy with this experience. I was given a 15-foot truck that has a dead battery. Every time the engine was turned off, the battery dies and the engine cannot be turned on. This resulted in a 4 hour-delay, 3 requests for roadside assistance, and a lot of stress from a move from LA to the Bay Area. I hope U-haul can compensate for this very stressful inconvenience.

I rented out a dolly on Saturday. Since they are closed on Sundays, I returned it Monday first thing in the morning. They told me that i would only be charged for one day but my card got charged 2x. The second amount was even higher than what the rate was supposed to be.

When I placed my reservation online, I had the option of selecting the Uhaul coverage insurance or using my own insurance, and i chose to use my own. When I left the lot, I received a confirmation receipt email and it had included a $14.00 fee for uhaul coverage. The on-site rep told me his location required using Uhaul insurance but had not mentioned it when i was checking out and getting the truck. I called back he just said "whoops forgot to mention it". This is terrible customer service and ive never experienced that lack of communication in many years renting from uhaul. This was the Culver Automotive location in Culver City.

I ended up paying for way more gas than I needed to because the gas gauge was broken. I tried to explain to the manager when I returned, but he was extremely dismissive of my claims even though I was patient and calm when explaining.

Staff was very helpful but in checking out and returning the vehicle. Although we did not have to use them, the tips they had for returning the vehicle after hours were informative and helpful.

I can't believe there is any room for improvement. I was treated with "better" improvement then I though was possible, compared to issues from other rentals. Culver Automotive is farther away from my home from other rentals, but I'm sticking with Culver Automotive.

I feel like this guy at the auto shop is a scoundrel. Why would he charge me for 2days after telling me I could save by returning the truck the same eve after he closed by dropping the keys in his door slot? That is less than a full day of use. Plus I was erroneously charged for gas. I will NEVER rent from this location again and will tell all my friends to go somewhere else. Had a better experience from guys on Crenshaw.

I was charged for insurance after it was initially declined and gas after I returned it with more gas than when I took the rental.

The owner had a problem with me declining the insurance and told me because my "credit wasn't good enough and my insurance didn't cover it" the system declined the transaction. I'm pretty sure he assumed since I am young and black he could manipulate me into thinking I needed it but with a 700 credit score (that he never ran) and full coverage (he never asked to see) thru my insurance I knew he was full of shit! Being judged and talked down to (over $10) is unacceptable. I'll never rent from this facility again or refer any one I know there.

I rented a Uhaul from this location on Saturday, 2/11, at 12pm. Per the rental agreement, I had 4 hours to turn back in the truck, which I did at 3:40pm (I have photo evidence of mileage/gas/date & time). Since the auto shop closed at 3pm I left the key with one of the workers who was cleaning up and I parked the Uhaul in the instructed location. However, once I got the final receipt, I was charged for 2 days because he checked in the truck on Monday morning when he arrived at work. I was double charged for the rental fee, insurance, and environmental fee (extra $38.08). Also after checking my bank statement today, I was charged another $38.08 yesterday so now a total of 3 days. I need to be reimbursed $76.16. I also put in complaint #1320544 on Monday and have yet to hear back from the regional manager. Please contact me at your earliest convenience at (248) 321-1965.
