Was not actually able to use my rental due to delays in the area I was moving to. Had to return shortly after picking up.... was charged for local rental. Gentleman who helped me was very nice and I would return only because of him. If my interaction was with who I could only assume was the owner I would not return or recommend this location, which is unfortunate because I have worked with employees of this company in the past and have never had problems. I which U-Haul would allow to refunds when they are necessary. It was not my luck. U-Haul may not have return business from me because of their policies.

I reserved 24 blankets, when I arrived to pick up the truck I was told he only had 12 blankets. He was able to get 6 more for a total of 18. But I did have to use our own bed sheets to cover furniture because we did not have the 24 I requested. Also was not made aware of the shortage until I arrived to pick up.

The office at this location is functional, but rough. The operator, Omar, is good, patient and hardworking. The truck and trailer inventory are usually very good. The place gets the job done, but with no frills. I would recommend it to anyone, but not for those looking for a store full of moving supplies..

Jim at Holden's Wrecker Service was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I made a reservation through a U-Haul location at St. Clalude Ave. in New Orleans Louisiana to pick up a truck at Holden's Wrecker Service in Covington Louisiana for Friday May 25, 2018. Due to a forecast of heavy rain, I called Holden's Wrecker Service to cancel my reservation for the 25th. When the weather cleared on Saturday May 26, 2018 I called Holden's Wrecker Service to see if there was a U-Haul truck still available and was told there was. I then went to reserve and pick up the truck at Holden's Wrecker Service where I met with Jim who I previously spoke to over the phone about cancelling my reservation for May 25th and to inquire whether a truck was available on the 26th. In both the phone calls and in my initial reservation it was stated clearly that I would be needing the truck for a one-way use to New Orleans. For whatever reason, Jim misunderstood this and thought that I would be needing it for an in-town reservation and when I pointed out to him in the store that I would be needing it as a one-way rental he informed me that he was not sure he could let me do that. When I asked if the truck was reserved by anyone else within the next 48 hours he said no but insisted that he might need it for someone else. Being a repeat U-haul costumer I was really confused because I've never heard such a thing. My previous experiences have always been first come, first served as it is in most businesses. When I pointed this out to Jim he became upset, and then said he'd see what he could do. He then got on a calculator to come up with a quote that was over $200 which was roughly $40 more than my original reservation stated when I made it for May 25th. In all other previous experiences with U-Haul a store associate has always used a computer to calculate a quote using the U-Haul prices that are also displayed on the website. When I pointed out to Jim the inconsistency between the quote he made me and how much I was quoted for the reservation for just one day previous he said "Well don't get all cocky little girl," followed by some explanation of why his quote was what it was. That part didn't quite stick to my memory due to being preoccupied by being called a "cocky little girl" as a grown woman. After saying that I wasn't going to pay a penny more than I was quoted previously (with the exception of additional insurance and tax of course) I was literally waved out of the office and told "You'll have to talk to Omar you can wait in there." After waiting in the office for a few minutes Omar came to help me out and was nothing but a wonderful gentleman. When Omar put my name into the U-Haul Computer program he was able to show me that even though I had called and spoke to Jim about cancelling my reservation, it was never actually cancelled. Due to this Omar was able to change the dates and give me the same price that my initial U-Haul reservation stated. Omar was absolutely wonderful

This location is not the tidiest U-haul place I have ever been to, but they always seem to have a good selection of trucks and trailers in inventory and the principal operator is hard working and pleasant enough. This is usually my first choice when getting a trailer locally.

The only problem was the trailer was not at the location where we reserved it. Had to make a 15 minute drive to this location to pick up the trailer.This was not the dealer's fault.
