When ordering over the phone at this location the gal was not that friendly and seemed to be annoyed/short with my questions. However the gentleman that helped me hook up the trailer to my truck was very nice and helpful. The return of the trailer was also very easy- just drop and go. Overall great experience-just a little better customer service on the front end would be nice.

The white van with dirty so I mentioned that to the attendant and he said they let the rain wash them. Problem is it never rains in Southern California. Didn’t think it was very professional of Uhaul to not provide a clean van!

Rental truck had over 168,000 miles on it. It was severely scratched and scraped. The rental rate is the same as for well maintained equipment we have rented in the past. It was clean inside but the engine and drive train were noisy and very labored. This piece of equipment needs to be retired or rented at a lower rate.. The location was clean and well maintained but very crowded - hard to get in and out of with a large truck.

I needed the trailer I rented to move the belongings of my recently deceased mother-in-law out of her house. Escrow on the house closed today and I was in a tremendous rush because I had people waiting to help me with the move. In the distracted state of mind I found myself, I didn't pay as much attention to the U-Haul counter person as I should have. When I returned the trailer, It dawned on me that perhaps the insurance On my invoice was probably optional. While I understand that insurance is in general a prudent thing to have, I am not sure that I was told I was being charged a fee for damage insurance. I'm sure I wasn't told it was optional. If the insurance is an option, I believe the presumptive approach borders on deceptive. I would suggest you amend your presentation to properly disclose the cost. I probably would have purchased it in any way but that decision should have been mine to make. Otherwise the counter person was adequate and the young man working the yard was efficient and helpful.

This was not the location where I had my initial reservation. My initial reservation was not properly booked and when I arrived to pick the truck up at the location, there was no truck for me. I was then helped over the phone by someone in a call center and was told to come to this location. The representative on the pgone was very helpful, I think her name was Ariel. Everything from then on went smoothely.

My emails all said I had a truck reserved, but when I tried the self check-in I was informed I did not have a truck reserved for me at the 2182 Alton Pkwy Ste 2, Irvine, CA 92606 location. I had to travel to another location, 2680 Newport Bl Costa Mesa, CA 92627, to pick up a truck. Then I was told at the new location they couldn't honor my reservation price because I would have to return the truck to the new location, which was farther from my original destination. They did give me a discount on the new truck rental and also stated I would be getting a $50 refund since I didn't get my rental at the original location.

When we made the reservation we ask the person on the phone questions like “ if drop of Uhaul after hours the day after pick up will we be charged for an extra day. The answer was no because we will be dropping it off during that same day of drop off date. Well when to pick up Uhaul we were talking to the girl that greet us regarding the prices and this guy , his name is “Dan” also stating hie is manager starting budding into our conversation that it’s either we take it or not that me and sister were confused..., when the girl that greet us was being very polite to us and explain that people over the phone always will false information. We were telling her that, that’s not our fault that they should honer our conversation in the phone. But this guy “Dan” is very super rude in talking to me and sister. If he is really a manager he needs to be trained in talking politely to clients. I kinda want to thing he was being racist but I just believe he needs to be train properly.

Set up my reservation online, because I needed the truck at 530AM. When I arrived at the location, the check in process told me that no equipment was assigned to my confirmed reservation. Took three phone calls and an hour being bounced around customer service to finally get my reservation moved to another location where they had a truck. Once I got to a location that actually had my equipment the process was painless, however I was late for my pickup due to the issues with my first reservation.
