My intial reservation was for a van, which I personally called to speak with a representative to confirm after making it online. I was promised there would be no issues and my pick up would run smoothly on the day of. When I arrived the car had been locked with keys inside so I was told to go to another location to try to get a new reservation. Which I had to get transportation to. Then Other location only had moving truck available. I then had to pay the difference and forced to use truck instead of van. I was using rental for wedding flowers so all flowers were put in hot truck with no ventilation. I had not set up any other options because was promised days in advance that I would not have to expect any circumstance where can would. It be available. This whole experience was so awful and no one seemed to care how this situation affected me and my business. As a new customer who planned to use uhaul weekly I can assure you I will never rent from uhaul again. Customer service and experience was terrible.

FYI - I made a reservation on Monday, July 17th. I made a mistake by not writing down the reservation number. Friday, July 21st, I get the surprise that there was no reservation on my name. I had to start all over but the Scheduler save the day by finding an alternate location with the equipment I needed.

Make sure that the customer actually knows how to unlatch the roll up door, knows the proper procedure to prevent the locking gear from getting stuck at the top, if not raised properly. Show the customer the best way to enter the vehicle, especially if the customer has bad knees.

Uhaul should emphasize when booking through its website that you will probably not be able to pick up your rental at your preferred location. I have a Uhaul center 5 minutes from my but had to drive 15 miles away and was given no other options. This was disappointing.

I returned the truck 16 hours early but was told that I would have to still pay for the full two days. This was a bit off putting after everything else had been first class and a five star service.

Kept being told to move my car because they offer NO parking spaces, was told there was 5x10 units available, and then not, and then there was and then there was not, come to find out the GM just didn't want to offer them under the 1 month free that is supposed to be given with my move, so I had to cram my stuff into a 5x5 (and couldn't fit all of it). Feel like they just want to scam people into paying for upgraded storage. Also when I returned my equipment I had to argue with them over the fact that I paid in cash in NJ and took over an hour for me to get my $60 cash deposit back. He also didn't believe me that the unit was there after I returned it and checked it in. Tim's condescending attitude made a bad situation worse.

It really sucks how I returned the truck a day early but yet I still get charged for two days and an additional charge when I return it.
