My personal van broke down, so I needed a Uhaul to make a quick delivery. I called 3 locations to have no one answer, so then got hold of the general 800 number and made the reservation over the phone. The UHaul truck needs repairs. Most disappointed that the lighter did not work so I could not plug in my phone charger. If you don't want your trucks to have working cig lighters you need to update and have another option for customers to charge their phones. This IS 2019. We all have phones. We need working chargers available. Also, the handle on the driver's window is broken.

the location rep did not give me the opportunity to switch the payment from my credit card to my debit card. I've always been able to do that at other uhaul locations but this is the first time I was not able to do it. I even left a message on the voicemail and she told me that she never checks the answering machine.

The truck literally smelled like someone was inappropriate in it. Smelled horrible and had a bad leak will it rained in the floorboard.

People were nice. I never got a final bill from U-Haul. Had to call to make sure the truck was checked in. Employees were nice

The equipment was not available at the location I selected. It was 3 miles away from where I needed it. When I asked if I would be credited the 6 miles round trip, I was told I was responsible for paying for the extra mileage. It is not a good business to extort extra costs out of customers.

I had difficulty getting the lights to turn off. So I thought it may be a push button switch so I pushed on it and the switch mechanism fell inside the dash. I tried to retrieve it but I could not reach it. The lights did go off-evidently on a timer.

The windshield was dirty which made it hard to see out of. Also when rolling down the driver side window to adjust the side mirror, the knob for the window crank came loose. Causing me to drive around in 37 degree weather with the window down.

The U-Haul app should describe exactly where the keys should be returned or at least stay on that screen longer. The app just told me to put them in a drop box but didn’t specify where the box was so I was looking everywhere. Also, it would have been awesome to have a clearer sign stating where the U-Hauls should park.
