It was very clean inside the cab but bugs kept getting inside. I don't know if it's the area I moved from or to or if they were already inside the back of the truck somewhere.
Cabin of Uhaul was in terrible condition. Soda all over the seats, ash in the floor board, just a gross vibe and smell.
Make Uhaul app more stable. Crashed a few times at pickup.
When I went to pick up my rental, I was informed at the first store i went to that the vehicle I was using was not there. I was given no warning or notification about a change in pick up. So after I called the number I was given, then I find out that it was at least still in town, but 30 minutes later than my timetable. Upon arriving, it took forever for the cashier to load up the check in paperwork, and I didn't even receive a copy of the contract from him. Instead, I was told I would need to take a phone picture of it. This entire debacle set me back an hour, and again, I was on a tight time table. The back of the truck had not been swept, and the ramp was littered with tree droppings that had to all be removed before we could load.
Unable to locate drop box for keys. Gave keys to lady inside store but she hardly spoke English. Had to argue with her for a bit about truck drop off.
Make sure the truck is clean. The back (cargo area) needed sweeping and the cab had some sort of sauce spilled on the floor. However, the service was much faster than the first uhaul place that I tried, where after literally half an hour in line, I moved from 4th in line to 3rd before deciding to try someplace else. The 2nd uhaul place I tried was extremely helpful and friendly but didn't have the truck I needed, so they checked the 3rd and last uhaul place in town, found me a truck and reserved it for me. After all that, I didn't complain about the truck being dirty because I just needed to get started with the move. By that time, I was just grateful for a third option that had the truck I needed. Customer service was not bad, and it was quick.
Mighty Mart was a nightmare, in a bad area, not fit for a woman alone to be. They tried to charge me $150 more than the invoice I had from a Uhaul dealership not 2 miles away. I ended up having the district manager come to do my paperwork. The truck didn't have cruise control and I had to go 250 miles in a truck that had an oil leak and transmission was slipping. In all my years dealing with Uhaul, this was a disaster!

Hire a decent human with customer service skills to get Uhaul out to customers. The owner at the store called me 5 mins abour 4 pm and asked me to hurry becuase he was leaving amd wouldn't be able to make my SCHEDULED, 6pm uhaul pick up. Very inefficient for me, but I said I would probably get there a little after 4. He mumbled something and asked me to text a picture of my drivers license to his cell phone? This doesn't seem like Uhaul would approve, at least I hope not. I finally get down to payment and he tells me its going to be approx $35 more than the 2 not 1, but TWO quotes I received online and in my email staying I was over charged. The funds needs to be returned to my account immediately. Thankyou. Also, the uhaul was filthy, used cue-tips, trash, small kids stuff I the back
Employee did not speak fluent english and did not know how to issue the tow trailer that I had reserved. Received no assistance attaching trailer to my vehicle. Did what I could and had the local police department in Copperas Cove make sure my towing was safe for moving from Texas to Georgia. This all took place at 9AM in the DARK and again I received NO assistance.
The U-Haul truck was in excellent shape, I can say that. Everything else was horrible. My scheduled pick up time was for 11am. I got there around 10:45 and the lady working who was extremely friendly and professional told me that her boss wouldn't be there until 12 or after. I told her I had an email reservation to pick up the uhaul. I didn't actually pick up the uhaul
It was more the location than anything, but the guy was running it out of his mini-mart and I had to work returning the vehicle around his schedule instead of what I put in my reservation, because he was about to leave for the day and the employee coming in for him didn't know how to do it. He wasn't able to figure out entering my debit card manually so I had to pay a $75 deposit to get the truck and didn't have cash so had to pay out of pocket his $2.95 ATM withdrawal fee, which he refused to reimburse me even though it is not my fault I was forced to use it to get the truck I reserved. I was also there for way too long because he kept getting up from checking out the truck to me, to serve other customers coming to purchase items at his register. Overall, poor customer service from the location, and doesn't reflect well on Uhaul. Thank you for the opportunity to tell my experience.
This was the most sketchy place I've ever done business with. The lady who works at the gas station is in charge of directing customers to wait while she dials her boss's number in order to do you're uhaul pick up. However you have to wait because she still has to ring up store customers because the uhaul place is connected to a corner store. Once you're on the phone you can hear the managers children in the background while he conducts your transaction. The call takes forever because whatever computer he is using takes a long time to load. They don't even walk you out to the truck to check the gas or quality of the truck before you take it. They also don't tell you which key is for which truck so I had to try all three before I found the one that the key belonged to. Also the manager requires you to give your credit card number over the phone which is not safe now a days. When you return the truck thy tell you "it needs gas" which is odd because they have no clue how much gas was originally in the tank. The manager didn't make me sign anything or go check the truck. Then he randomly called me an hour later saying he needed my card number so he can run it again because he made a mistake and gave m the wrong truck. I will NEVER use this company or pick up from this place ever again!
It was fine
We returned the uhaul at 8:30am Sunday July 30th and were charged for the third day saying that we didn't return it until 7:30 in the evening. We were not given furniture pads because they didn't have any. Also after returning the truck and dolly we received a call saying we didn't return them. This is ridiculous!
My location was changed and no one notified me. Very unprofessional. The truck cab was dirty and I cleaned it out. Again, unprofessional. No walk thru of the truck was done before or after I rented it. EXTREMELY unprofessional! The staff was rude and Uhaul should be ashamed to have their brand rented at this location.
It was a little hard to find. This is a convenience store so the man had to take care of other customers while he completed the paperwork. Good response and service overall. Great availability times.
The guy had a lot of problems completing the reservation on the computer, and made multiple phone calls to someone else for help. He had no idea about the 2 dozen furniture pads I had reserved, and had none in stock. This was a major inconvenience as we were moving antique furniture. We spent half a day looking for suitable padding for this furniture. I received no contract, paperwork, or anything other than the key to the truck. I didn't even sign anything. The only record I have of this transaction is the debit on my bank account. The store had no AC of any sort running, so it was very hot inside, and incense was burning which made me nauseous for the extremely long time I waited for him to complete this rental. I requested a different location to pick up (which I have used several times previously), and for some unknown reason Uhaul changed the location. I will need more rentals in the future. If it is ever changed to this location again, I will cancel the reservation and go to a different company for future rentals.
The only problem I had with this location is that I reserved my equipment for 7:00 am and they would not let me get the truck until 10:00 am then I had requested the pads on my order for the dozen and I only was issued four. The customer service was nice but the process was not organized.
I had to wait 30+ minutes while the agent waites on customers buying beer and cigarettes. I called customer service while waiting and was told a manager would call me. Never happened. I had to hook up the trailer myself, agent couldn't leave the store. I was under the assumption the the reservation was guaranteed, when I spoke with customer service, she didn't even log the call, I requested a copy of the call and that didn't happen either. She told me "there is nothing I can do for you." Called back 4 days later and got a new customer service agent who actually took my information. I will wait and see.
Manager was not there when picking up rental. Mass confusion as to what I placed for reservation. Rented a dolly that was 7 online, but got charged 10 at the store. Gas was almost on e. Whole experience was crappy
Just have the breaks check. I thought this was a safety issue they were all the way to the floor when I pushed them down was a little worried.
The employee had no idea what to do. We waited 30 minutes until I finally called Uhaul myself and did a contract over the phone. The representative on the phone was very helpful but the lady working should have called someone ahead of time for instruction knowing we were going to be there at 8 am. Instead she was just outside smoking with a friend.
