Could not get the reservation system to work and then couldn't take the payment. They tried multiple cards and finally just gave me the keys. No paperwork, no signature nothing. Now I've been charged on a previous card that was stored in the system and was not a card I offered to pay with. The account is not used and is now overdrawn. I never received any confirmation of the rental or the charges. They said I would get an email and I didn't. I returned the truck cleaner than it was with more gas than it had (which was the gas light on). Horrible location to rent from. Very disappointed. Called customer service and they said nothing could be done. I rent uhauls regularly for my employer and will not be doing so any more. Thanks.

The truck reservation was made some days in advance. When I visited the U-Haul on White Mountain Blvd> in Lakeside,AZ, I was told that I would have to go to Concho AZ, to pick up he U-Haul truck. I was not happy with this as Concho was about 20 miles in the wrong direction than the destination I was going to. I could go on about this reservation I originally made at the Lakeside U-Haul location, but I probably would write further negative statements abou my recent U-Haul experience.

It took a long time to finish contract because they kept helping other customers at the general store and that person didn't seem that knowledgable about setting up the contract after I had already checked in online. The persons helping with equipment wasn't knowledgable about securing vehicle on transport trailer. They didn't seem to care.

The people I spoke with on the phone were very nice. They helped hook the trailer up to the truck being driving by a friend. I was not in Concho at the time of the rental, but made the reservation over the phone and paid over the phone. However, there was some sort of mix up with the rental. I wanted a one-way rental of a utility trailer from Concho, AZ to Phoenix, AZ. That is what I thought I was getting. Instead, it was dispatched as an in-town rental. I was unaware that I couldn't rent this trailer one-way and drop it off at another location here in Phoenix. So, when the trailer was dropped off here in Phx, it was not checked-in. I received a call from U-Haul stating I had not returned the trailer to Concho. I didn't know I had to, and if I did know, I would not have rented it. I did get in contact with the drop off location here in Phx and they found the trailer and inspected it; all was good. I called U-Haul back and explained the situation and where the trailer was. However, now I am being charged much more than I originally agreed to. It appears there is a price difference between in-town and one-way. Additionally, the cost of the insurance I purchased also went up. Finally, there is a "wrong destination" charge which is double the daily rate. So, a trailer I thought I was renting for about $30 ends up costing me $146. I am not certain I should even be paying a wrong destination charge since my intent all along was to rent one-way from Concho to Phx. At any rate, this U-Haul experience was not pleasant. I do not believe the mix up to be my fault and don't feel I should pay the "wrong destination" fee since it was not my mistake. Anyway, it is paid by Cc and I have been told the trailer will be returned to Concho (somehow). I hope they get their trailer back promptly. Overall, this rental experience was not good and I am not particularly happy.

The lady that handled the return was the only employee available at this convenience store/Uhaul franchise and had a line of C-Store customers to assist. She indicated that Uhaul had recently upgraded their rental process however she did not have the entire package and therefor couldn’t properly complete my rental so she said “It’s all okay. You can go.” I didn’t receive any paperwork or paid receipt. I did, however, take date/time stamped photographs of the fuel level and the odometer reading because I had a very uneasy feeling about the outcome of this transaction. Glad I did because my worst nightmare was realized. EXTRA DAY CHARGES! I received an invoice at approximately 15:45 hours on Monday, July 22, 2019 indicating that the truck had been returned at 12:44 hours on Sunday, July 21, 2019 when in fact it was returned at 11:40 hours on Saturday, July 20, 2019, a day early instead of a day late. Luckily, I called a Uhaul customer service agent in South Carolina who researched the error and did the first step of correcting it. While I’m not eager to place blame on any particular entity, collectively, from the Uhaul perspective, you need to work with your franchisees to ensure they have all necessary tools to serve their customers. And from the franchisee’s perspective, employees need to make sure they are equipped to complete the job efficiently and accurately without causing the customer to incur further charges. I HIGHLY recommend that anyone renting from Uhaul to keep a photo journal of the entire process to include pictures (which are date/time stamped) of the truck being returned to the dealer on the contract. It helps the lawyers if it ever turns in to a tussle!

Your mobile check in was such a nightmare that i dont know if i will ever rent from you again. The reservation timed out twice. You forced me to upload pictures of my husband as the driver and a picture of myself as the contract holder. I found that ridiculous and offensive. And we were forced to do it twice and it then expired. It was a miserable experience. Very dissatisfied.

I rented two different trucks from two different locations in less than a week. The only time I have had a worse customer service experience is when it took 10 days to get internet service connected. There isn’t room to cover all the issues. I’ll rent another truck from U-Haul when hell freezes over. I couldn’t even get accurate copies of the two bills!

truck was reserved at one location then had to travel out of my way to p/u a different one. was told they did not have the 20ft - this truck was filthy, windshield wipers were old and did not work in the rain, less than a quarter of tank of gas and the oil was immeasurable on the stick when checked. when headed to destination to load, passed the original dealer in Lakeside AZ and noted they had a very large stock of trucks on their lot. ?!?!? NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS SITE AT ALL!

While Stanford General store has a Concho mailing address it is not even close to Concho. I was told that the pickup for the truck was in Concho, so I drove 37 miles to Concho, finally having to call U-Haul who mentioned Stanford General Store, which is about 5 miles from Show Low. So, in the future PLEASE refer to this location as Stanford General Store, and no one else will have a similar experience!

There were uhaul signs on a building when I went inside no employees were present. In fact it was a laundry mate. So I had to go to a near by building to find an employee. Also the uhaul employee/representative was insistent that other customers of the grocery/deli go in front of me and during my transactions. It was painfully slow, and I felt disrespected as a uhaul customer. I am extremely disappointed in the service altogether.

Staff didn't seem very well accustomed to using the system. It took over an hour for me to pick up my auto transport trailer because we had to go over all the details that I had already entered in my reservation then the phone lines and internet went down causing the woman helping me to have to call a different center and go over everything again.

Tell the customers about your minimum rental period. Your one day rate is great, but I only needed one day and had to pay for 3 day rental. Not cool. This review applies to U-haul not rental location.
