The location is very convenient and the staff were super helpful. I think the website is a bit confusing. When I reserved the van online it asks for a time for the reservation, so I thought filling out the information would just save me from doing paperwork once I got to the location. I didn't realize filling out the online forms starts a timer, and you don't have much time to get in the van from then. I thought since I asked for a specific time it would be ready at that time. I ended up accidentally creating another reservation after that. Not a huge deal though; the location staff and a customer service person on the phone were able to help!

They did not check in the truck when I dropped it off, now I need to make another trip to a U-haul location to pay my balance for fuel used which I think is bogus in itself. I returned the truck with the amount of fuel that was in when I picked it up.

I was charged for Safemove without my permission. I had originally made an online reservation and opted out of that coverage since we have full coverage through our insurance and once a representative called us back and tweaked our reservation over the phone he apparently added the coverage without our permission. I have rented many U-Haul trucks and have always opted out of the coverage so the rep was sneaky in sticking it into our contract and charging us. I went back to my original reservation and it shows I opted out. Not good business practices at all so this will be my last time using U-Haul.

I got charged for 2.5 gallons of gas when the mileage of the odometer was tracked for only 10 miles. When I parked the truck the fuel gauge was at the same place as when I started, yet liberty was taken to charge me for a fraction of the tank.

Store owner was rude to me when there was an issue with the charges. Online, I had originally opted out of the $15 insurance on the Uhaul vehicle. It's possible that when I called to change the time of my reservation, this opt-out was overlooked. When my charges were printed on-site, they included the insurance charge in the breakdown. I notified the store owner of this oversight, and he told me he would fix it. He did something on the computer which I assume was deleting the charge from my statement. However, when he returned the new sheet to me to sign, it still included the insurance charge. Again, I brought this to his attention. Meanwhile, there were customers that trickled into the checkout line. He told me to wait, and proceeded to check three customers out in lieu of completing my transaction, one of whom only entered the line after the others had been checked out. When the clerk finally got back to me, he told me that he had selected opt-out in the system but that the system wouldn't print the new statement properly. I relayed to him that I don't feel comfortable signing a statement of charges which doesn't accurately reflect the charges I have agreed to. He repeatedly and impatiently told me that I either had to sign or he wouldn't allow me to check out. He was dismissive in tone, and at one point he waved a blank page at me to prove his printer wasn't properly printing the new statement. He referred me to the Uhaul phone number, sharply telling me I should seek business at another location. I feel it is fully within my right as a consumer to ensure that any documents I sign accurately reflect the services I am receiving. In the end, I resigned to his rude, intimidating, thre

I didn't notice that I'd been charged a "CDW" fee of $10 (it wasn't included in my original estimate from u-haul and I didn't sign up for coverage, so I guess it's something the rental location added). That was aggravating because I was renting for a nonprofit group that has to pinch pennies. Otherwise, I would give an "Excellent" review to the location -- very nice.

To Whom Ever This May Concern: The rental experience I had on my truck rental on January 14th, 2018, from location: 3166 N High St, Columbus, OH 43202 at 3:15pm EST was very poor. At the time I took the rental, the mileage of the truck was 58,043, and the fuel was little below full tank. I returned the truck back to the same location by around 4:30pm EST. Before returning the truck, I had filled the truck with gas. The amount of gas filled was 1.572 gallons because I had only driven the truck for 7 miles total. When I returned the truck at the Super Food Mart, the guy behind the counter did NOT ask for a gas receipt, did NOT ask for the current mileage reading from the truck, or anything. He simply asked for the keys to the truck. The gentleman told me that any mileage adjustment would be done and I would get a final copy of the receipt emailed to me. I checked my email around 5:30pm to find the final receipt in my inbox at which point I noticed I was charged $7.50 for 2 gallons of gas. I do not understand why I was charged for any gas when I had added fuel to the truck before returning it as evidenced by the receipt attached to the email. The truck did NOT have a full tank of gas from the beginning, which was communicated to the Food Mart gentleman who assured me that I would not be charged extra because of that. This is the most frustrating experience I had renting a u-Haul truck. In the past my experiences have always been outstanding. In the past, the u-Haul salesperson at a different location would always complete the transaction while I am present. He/she would ask for gas receipt, ask for mileage reading, and ensure final adjustments were accurate. But, my experience at the Super Food Mart location was horrible. This is very unprofessional. I declined insurance coverage when I made my reservation online. When I went to pick up the truck, he had included insurance coverage on the bill and said I would have to call to get it removed. The bill should match the reservation.
