Make sure the location on the contract matches U-Hauls records for the drop off location. My contract had the Hitching Post and your customer service had another location. Margene at the Hitching Post was very helpful and got it straightened out.

The truck's AC struggled quite a bit and the cup holders were filled with water from whoever had dropped the truck off there putting a cold drink in it and letting the condensation drip off. As hot as it is in CA, the AC should be maintained to function properly! Other than that, everything worked great.

I had to wait over 2 hrs for my truck. The person that does uhaul does not work on Saturdays, She had to finish her errands, then go home, she lives over an hour away from the location. The truck had no oil in it, they had to put in 3 qts of oil before I left. It took another 1/2 hour to do the paperwork because they couldn't get an internet connection. The brakes sounded terrible. The passenger seat slid forward every time I stopped. It wouldn't lock into position. The seatbelt in the middle did not work so I was driving illegally. It was a death trap. I had to call roadside assistance at midnight and wait almost 2 hours for help. I had to get 2 hotel rooms because I was afraid to get into the desert on the way to Arizona and break down with 3 women in the truck so instead of getting home at 11pm on Saturday I got home at noon on Sunday and had expense of 2 hotel rooms. It cost me a lot of time and money and was afraid we would break down in a very unsafe location. Never again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think my money should be refunded because UHaul put my life and my daughters and daughter in law in jeopardy!!!!!!!!!

Get rid of Movinghelp.com, I placed an order for 2 people and NO ONE showed up... Even worse, when I tried contacting them all I got was an answering machine and as of today ( Mon 9AM ) I have still not been called back.... It cost me DEARLY to get someone to help me on Sunday....

The customer service was excellent. It was one of the best experiences me and my husband have had with U-Haul. We have moved several times and it's always a little stressful, but to be welcomed with a friendly smile made it a great experience. When a customer comes in with a quote for a truck, you may try honoring their quote instead of charging them above their expected price. Then, instead of charging hundreds of dollars more than they were promised, they would drive off with a truck having paid the price they were promised. You also might try having people work there who know what they are talking about. Telling us that oops, you already charged our card for over $300 more than our quote so we have to take it up with the drop off location, is stupid. Corporate says that it needs to be refunded from the pick up location...not the drop off location. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to use this location, much less than it is likely that I will I use U-Haul again.

I went on-line and reserved the truck for 7am at the Hitchin Post and got a confirmation number. (note: the website clearly indicated the location was open at 7am). I got to the Hitchin Post location at 7am, but was faced with a sign on the door indicating that they didnt' open until 8:15am. So needless to say I was not happy, as I had got up early to drive 90 plus miles from San Diego, hoping to get an early start, only to see that the location was not open. So I went to eat breakfast and came back at 8:30am thinking the place would be open and ready for business. However, when I got there, the clerk at the counter told me that the person who does the U-Haul rentals was not there -- and at this point I'm sure you can imagine major frustration set in. (Although very frustrated I was respectful). So he called and left a message for the person to come in. At approximately 8:45am the person arrived. However, she had to take all my information again as it was not in her computer, even though I showed her a copy of the confirmation number that I had printed from the computer. (more frustrated) To add insult to injury, although I purchased and paid for one dozen furniture blankets, the establishment only had 6, yet I was charged for one dozen. After it was all said and done, my anticipated departure time of 7:15am, was 2 hours later about 9:15am. For these reasons I can only rate this as very poor service, to say the least. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

My reservation stated that I agreed to a $1.00 reservation fee, and when I purchased the truck, the clerk charged me $5.00 fee. The clerk did not know how to refund me and I had to call 4x just to get an answer as to why I was charged so much. I was tired and frustrated with this transaction.
