My experience was extremely stressful and unprofessional I was jerked around on the phone to go to 3 different locations told my reservation wasn’t going to be met 2-3 different times and then when I finally got my truck 4 hours after my reservation time I was told I’d get 100 dollars off my rental witch when I paid wasn’t true. Your company is faulty and un truthful! This complaint is with the phone operator not the actual location.

After having a reservation for a location less than 10 miles away for pick up, I was notified by U-Haul I could not pick up at that location and had a choice between two other locations that were both close to 30 miles away. I chose the location north of me. I arrived to the pick up location and it literally took over an hour for the person to process the paperwork. We went out to inspect the car dolly and the right wheelwell was damaged, but the trailer appeared to be operational. They told me I could go to the other location, which was a hour away, to see if that location had a different trailer. We were ready to roll out for AZ and did not have time to drive an hour south, take our chances on another trailer, so we were really left with no other options. I checked the lights on the dolly and they worked when I tested them. Upon arriving to AZ, I returned the car dolly to a nearby U-Haul center. The manager did a post inspection of the lights and trailer. When he asked for my contract, I told him I was not given a contract, but they gave me the inspection form, which I learned they were supposed to keep. As the manager began to recreate the contract, I found an email containing the contract. He finished processing the return paperwork and advised me that trailer should have never been rented out, that it should have been taken out of rotation and set aside for repair as the wiring was faulty and is deemed unsafe for consumer use until properly repaired. I am thankful for making the 1000 mile trip without incident. This is the second time in two years I have had an issue with the tow dollies and will most likely not be a returning customer. It costs a lot of money to rent this equipment and to know it did not meet the required safety standard bothers me. And having to travel so much further to pick up said equipment was ridiculous. The manager at the drop off went beyond my expectations in getting the tow dolly returned and it too minimal time.
