The directions that the information that was sent to me did not bring us to the correct location. It took us quite a bit of time to locate the correct place to return the equipment.

tie down strap was broken, did not notice when i picked up the auto transport. still used the trailer, with one of my own straps. no assistance when i picked up the trailer or the attendant might have noticed. went back by location after loading truck, attendant gave me a number to note the issue.

I requested certain equipment but they failed to have it when I went to pick it up. When I returned the uhaul they didn't verify any of the mileage so I never received a final bill to ensure my credit card was billed properly.

the man who hooked it up did not make chains proper length just wrapped extra around tongue which i saw later was holding pin down that tightens ball safety nut. could have been a disaster if I had not noticed before we headed out the ball nut was already loose by time we went from there 5 miles to where we loaded. He also made 2 dings in my tailgate when hooking up..

Store Manage never told U-Haul that I had returned the unit. I spoke with him and put my contract in the mail box as told. I then had to send a family member to the site to take pictures of the unit to prove that I had dropped it off. This worried the crap out of me. It turned into a five day ordeal.

Nothing regarding the location except good things to say ! You as corporate need to supply more equipment to the U-Haul dealers that care about your customer ! Royal Food 11 in Clinton Sc does an I will use them again

I have rented equipment from uhaul several times over the years. This experience was by far the worst and was all due to very poor customer service. I completed all my online portion trying to make the rental go as quick as possible, I had a pickup time of 6am, upon arrival, the store was an extremely shady location with zero lighting out where the rental equipment was located and very shady characters entering the store at that hour. I had my family stay in the vehicle while I went inside to get the process completed. That's where I learned the vendors computer did not work, and when he tried to call in to get the order processed via phone and spoke to one of your customer representatives, I learned that uhaul refused to help both he and I, the customer until normal business hours starting at 7am. So we sat in this shady parking lot for an hour and waited for your customer service to help us even though we had an appointment to pickup at 6am. At 7am I again tried to pickup and the vendors computer still did work, so once again we had to do the phone call and talk to a less than delightful customer representative who could. Not find any of the information that I had entered online. Numerous trips in and out of the store had to be made to get a trailer number, then to get a tag number all while my family is still in my vehicle out in the parking lot. I finally lost my patience when I was asked to give my credit card info, while using the vendors personal cell phone and standing in a store with people walking all around me. In today's time and age of identity and credit card scams and theft this is an inexcusable thing to ask in a public setting such as this. Oh and add to that, hooking up the trailer out in the pitch black, using my flashlight, with my loaded pistol in my pocket because of being watched by 3 men with ill intentions. I am a US Army combat veteran and Proffesional fishing guide in the Everglades. I don't get rattled easy, but the scenario my family was put in thru no fault of our own was inexcusable and is exactly the reason I will never rent from uhaul again. You have a duty to ensure your locations are safe and if open at night, lit up. And an even bigger duty to be available for your customers 24 hours a day if you offer pickup at that time. Uhaul failed miserably with my experience.
