The Auburn Location was just fine. The staff was very helpful but there were 2 trailers and they chose to give us the old beat up one rather than the newer one (probably because we were going out of state) but that's not even the issue...This was the location we had to drive OUT OF OUR WAY 30 MILES to (round trip) IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION! Why? Because the rental office on Broadway in Sacramento (who CONFIRMED OUR RESERVATION) DID NOT HAVE OUR TRAILER THERE when I went to pick it up!! And to top off the MAJOR inconvenience, on the way to pick up the trailer 30 MILES OUR OF OUR WAY, a rock hit my windshield and now I have to pay my insurance deductible to get it fixed! AND because of the delay sitting in traffic to pick up the trailer, I had to pay for an extra night at a hotel which wasn't planned on. I WON'T RECOMMEND UHAUL EVER!!!

It was most horrible experince. Person who owns Found Treasures is rudest and meanest person I have ever met in any kind of customer service. And I have seen enough in my life, I am 46. Too long of a story to write in this review, but I am definitely contacting Uhaul corporate office and telling them everything.

First of all, customers renting one way should be notified at time of reservation that full payment is expected upon pickup! Time was wasted and my movers had to leave, so that was a day with the truck wasted and held up my schedule! While leaving to go get the monies the sales rep gave my car tow to another customer! Had to go back the next day to pick it up and he was only open 15min. And the rep Vivica called and sent me to the Broadway location and she was very rude and sarcastic in her comments to me! Told me it wasn't the companies fault I had to go get a loan! I was just explaining to her how inconvenienced I as a customer was for all the changes in locations and product from the company! Too much to explain in this survey but I will be filing a formal complaint! I've been renting from Uhaul for 40 years and never experienced such horrible service! The truck I received was smaller than the truck that was agreed upon and because of the delays and bad service loss of help and all I had to leave part of my furniture to neighbors and whoever walked by because it wouldn't fit in the truck! I'm so disgusted in Uhaul for this!!!

Attention to detail when installing Uhaul equipment. The trailer I rented wasn't safely secured to my vehicle. The trailer hitch came off my vehicle's ball while I was on the freeway, approx 10 minutes after I left the Uhaul facility. It almost caused an accident with the trailer whipping back and forth violently. It took an hour for an employee to come to my location and re-attach the trailer.

They should allow negative reviews..... the owner of the shop "Daniel" calls me saying that I didnt return his U haul. He says that I never returned his truck at all. Seemed to be very polite in person. When he called me he was of the most arrogant and belligerent people I have EVER dealt with! I dropped of the truck between 930pm to 10pm. Dropped the keys in the drop off. Called me on Sundat I let them know I returned the truck. He calls me on Monday saying he doesn't have the truck. I advised him it was returned but he started yelling and screaming saying I did not. He began to tell me that he will take action against me. He said his agent said that I turned in the truck around 8 pm. Which I did not say. I didnt turn in the truck until after 9pm. He says I have the recording. I then said why didnt you check the recording? First he says I am trying to help you. Then he says how this is not his job to look for a truck I returned. He hung up on me. I called the corporate office and spoke to a regional manager which did everything he could to be helpful. This owner was so irate I could not say 2 words to him. I called him back to try to resolve the issue he asked me what car I was in and I told him which he sees on the video then as I am on the line with the regional manager I get a text saying "the truck was found" I text him to say that doesn't excuse your actions for how you approached me and that he owes me an apology. He calls me back being as rude as he was was the entire time. I said again its nit his job and he didnt want to call me back. He has a dropbox to return truck but says he told me I couldnt which he did not. I said to him he didnt. I said to him why do you have a dropoff if I cant leave the truck and that is not in the contract I signed. So i am in the process of filing an executive complaint with U haul. I even gave him the oppurtunity to apologize and he was still rude. Dont let these people fool you they may seem nice but you better beware!!!! I ve dealt with horrible people in the past but by far he is one of the worst Ever!!!!! I will be updating you step by step how U haul handles the situation. I would not deal with this location ever!!!!! I have never filed a review like this about any one. Beware!!!!!!! He is not a professional. I am a very respectful person to all and this guy is disrespectful, belligerence and very unprofessional. He had his truck there the entire time and never conveyed hus non drop off policy. Its not posted in a window nor in the contract but as soon as he thought that truck was missing he blamed me. His conversation was so threatning I called the police on him and they advised me on what to do.Beware of doing Any business here this is nit an overexaggerated complaint I assure you.

Cigarette ash and garbage all over the cab of the truck. Spent 45min trying to open the back door because of mechanical issues.. Called for some advice on the issue and the clearly frustrated man who answered the phone was very short with me and told me I would have better luck with road side assistance.. What a Crock.

Your customer service line was NOT ACCEPTABLE!! I called the local Uhaul waited for over 20'minutes with NO pick up Then I called number to the next closest location and tried different option STILL NO pick up!! Waiting another 25 min. STRESSED out cuz truck due today to svoid late fee or what ever. I was I was trying DESPERATELY to notify you that there was a delay in getting truck retuned AND it had to go back to a different location that originally contracted. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING when I was trying to so my part and be reaponsible with your equipment!! Don't think I will be using Uhaul again and will tell others my unfortunate experience!

The owner is very surely. His employee, Jason, is much more diplomatic. Granted, the process of moving can generate short tempers and surely customers as well. However, part of serving the public is occasionally having to deal with cranky, tired people. It is hard enough to manage the moving process without have g to deal with a surely business owner. Additionally, I am not sure but I feel I was overcharged by this location. I rented from different location and got a much better deal.

Reserved a trailer at the Grass Valley location (about a month prior to pick up), 18 hours before my pick up time I received a call telling me there was not a trailer available at my reserved location. I asked what time they could have one there and I was told I would have to go to Citrus Heights to pick it up. That was a 90 mile round trip. Did not realize Uhaul does not guarantee the equipment you reserve to be at the location you request. Had I known this at the time I reserved, I would have canceled. Customer serve is really bad at Uhaul, will not use your company again.

Not require my friends phone numbers. I had to give 3 different phone numbers for the guys to contact someone in order for me to get this Van rented for 3h. People don't answer unknown numbers...
