The rental process was a lot easier with the online/phone representative than the actual store clerk. It was a bit of a nit picky process with him questioning the arrangements made online with the rep. He was however, patient with me while I made the bank deposit to use my card (I brought cash). Although this was after him saying my rental should have been canceled since I was late. Overall customer service could have been better.

Improve communication on pricing. I asked to speak to a U-Haul respesentative because I did Not understand why I was charged $70 then going to be charged $107. NO ONE ever reached out to me to explain the charges. In fact, it looked as if I got charged TWICE for a U-Haul. I’ll be in touch very soon since my bank account is now overdrawn. I will be sure to tell my family and friends to make sure to keep their receipts because some U-Haul employees are scammers.

I was charged additional fees. Rented a $29.00 TRUCK and was told it would be $60.00 and some change but because they felt the truck wasn't cleaned or gas put in it (WHICH I CLEANED AND PUT GAS IN IT) they billed me 25.00 for cleaning and more for gas making my bill 102.00 and some change. I only traveled from NORWOOD to HARTWELLand didnt evem have a whole house yo move just Furniture. I have heard of other locations where this doesn't happen. I would not use this location nor would I recommend it to ANYONE else.

We were over charged for our rental. It’s $19.95 for 24 hours yet we were billed $39.90. And when I called to resolve I was on hold for 18 min before I hung up.

Overall I had a wonderful experience until it came time to return the truck. That’s when I was met by a very rude and arrogant individual who identified himself as “mike”. For starters when I came into the store to return the vehicle he was advised of a customer waiting , he continued stocking as if I wasn’t waiting. He finally came over to the counter, and eventually exited the building to inspect the vehicle. After a very usual amount of time at the vehicle he began coming back towards the building , only to be interrupted by a phone call on his personal cell phone. He then turned and went in the opposite direction before disappearing to the side of the business. After several minutes additional employees asked if I was still waiting on him, which I was and began calling him over there portable two way radios. He then reappeared through a side door and began moving very slowly as he completed the check in process. His body language, demeanor, and attitude where all clear indicators that he rather not handle either myself as a customer or the U-Haul portion of his job description. He was very degrading as he spoke down to me, speaking very slow, as if I was unable to understand and comprehend what he was saying. He displayed a very smug look that could be seen and recognized by other employees and customers. He went on to state the fuel was just below the 3/4 line and went on to say it was at 3/4 when j checked the vehicle out. He was advised that the fuel in the vehicle is exactly in the same spot it was at check out. However, he refused to believe that statement and charged me a fuel service fee. This entire experience has left me with a very sour taste to where I don’t wish to use U-Haul anymore. The first employee I dealt with when I checked the vehicle was extremely nice, polite , respectful, and professional. I wish I could base my experience just on him because the review would be a lot different. I’m very displeased and dissatisfied with this experience

Mike Baggerly was excellent. I needed to tow a bike. He was professional, had helpful suggestions and had customer friendly service that I have seen in a while. Customer service is what I do for a living. If I thought for a minute I could afford him he would be working for me. Thanks Mike!

My wife's credit card was apparently on file from a previous rental without her knowledge or my own, and that card was charged without any sort of discussion prior to it occurring. While necessary to hold an amount, which I understand, a confirmation of which card to use and disclosing the amount charged seems like a very normal procedure. I was disappointed that this was not the case. I also have rented in the past, and was given 24 hours on the rental. This time I was offered 6 hours, for the same price as I have paid previously. This made our move much more difficult. I will be making efforts to secure a rental from another company in the future.

I was told when I booked that a location near my home would have the truck I wanted. 30 minutes before pick up I was notified that I had to pick up from another location 20 minutes further away. The staff at Woods hardware store was great. The UHAUL system is awful. They let you books vehicles that don’t exist.

As a loyal customer of many years, after today’s horrible experience, I will NEVER rent from U-Haul. I’m extremely disappointed and upset with the unfair disservice’s encountered today. Never again! Placing holds on two of my credit cards when I clearly stated to ONLY take the additional amount “supposedly” owed, INSTEAD of charging the full price! I am so disgusted! Never again!
