It was a sunny day, so I didn't think to check the windshield wipers. The driver's side wiper was inoperable. I didn't encounter rain until the second day. Could have gotten a ticket for not having wiorking wipers. U-Haul should have checked all systems before putting a vehicle out on the lot for rental.Cameron B.

Worst and most ghetto customer service EVER!!!! Truck had broken glass and dirty socks in it. Service was horrible, the guy working barely even knew what was going on. They made ME move multiple other uhaul trucks to get to the one that I rented. These people should not be allowed to rent uhauls. 3rd part gas station and I will never go back there. Even to get gas. This remote location is not kept up to what my experience is with Uhaul; **they are not practicing COVID precautions as mandated for businesses in Butte County for the date of service.** After spending a long time on the phone with the Uhaul representative trying to guide me to find the lock box for the key, turns out this location did not have this feature and the key was with the gas station owner.Ruby K.

The uhual itself, was clean and ran fine. However, the first day on the road we had to pull over every 45 min and fix the strap on the tow dolly that holds the tires in place. One of the straps was fringed and was to short so it kept slipping off the tire. Eventually we ended up pulling over to a safe spot off the road and called in for roadside services. I was in a spot where my internet wouldn't load, so I had to call in and wait over 30 min for someone to answer my call. Then wait another 25min for the tow truck to come, which was frustersting! But it was very unsafe to continue down the road with the tire strap coming off... the tow truck brought an additional strap with him and added that on. He "okierigged" it on there and put it to where the D ring was at the top so if the road would have been pretty bouncy, it could have easily come up done. My husband looked it over and decided it would be fine for short hall, but he would fix it the next day... well, about an hour down the road I seen sparks flying from the trailer, so we pulled off into a parking lot and the S part on the chain connected to the trailer snapped and was dragging on the road. I called in again, and told the agent of the issue. He said he would call me back in 15 to 25min and update me of what the service time will be..... after waiting exactly 1 hour, I called in again, I let the lady know what was going on and she put me on hold to speak with the previous agent, who she then transfered me to. He informed me that he contacted 10 towing companies and none of them had the proper equipment needed and the nearest store was closed. He told us if we could safely drive to a near motel we'd be reimbursed for the night of the motel. I told him I wanted to speak to someone about being reimbursed some part of the cost of our uhual rental and he let me know i would need to speak to someone at the time of dropping off the uhual. He also let me know someone would call me between 6 and 8am to let me know when services would be, and that they'd have to wait for the store to open and it may be earlier, but he was unsure at that time. But that i would get a call 1 hour before the tow truck came. Which set us back, because we planned on driving further then we were able to,, and we planned on being up and back on the road by 5am!!! The next morning, I got a text to call when we were ready for services, so I called in as soon as i seen the text at 5:30am and requested the service be completed....... the gentleman we had help us this time was very quick in keeping us updated every step of the way! I believe his name was Doug. He ended up letting us know the tow truck would need to go into the city and pick up a new tow trailer for us and would bring it to us so it would be a few hours. It ended up being about 10:30am that it got to us. Then my husband had to unload our vehicle and reload it back on to the new tow trailer. When we dropped the uhual off I let them know of the troubles we had, and how I was told to speak to them about the partial refund for the troubles. The lady was very nice, and very helpful! She was sincere and felt bad for all the issues we had, she was able to help with the motel reimbursement, but was unable to help with any reimbursement for the issues, and she let me know I'd need to contact the location where we picked up the uhual. So I called them, and the guy barely spoke English and gave me the main uhual phone number to call. When I told them the issues the lady said she would submit a complaint and the location where we picked up the actual dolly, would contact me in a few days. It was a little frusterating to have all the issues we did, then to basically get the run around. If I do not hear back by Wednesday, I will be calling again.BRENTON W.
**BEWARE OF OVERCHARGING** Employee at the location was unable to provide any assistance, had to call for help from his boss. I was not given any paperwork at the time of truck pickup, but handed the key to the truck. Received online contract at the CONCLUSION of my rental which had inaccurate mileage. I was charged for 50 additional miles AND SAFEMOVE insurance which I declined when the reservation was set. Now I am unable to get any response from the location regarding the matter. *****If you rent from this location ensure you keep pictures and very tight records of truck condition/mileage/gas etc. they WILL OVERCHARGE YOU AND THEN IGNORE YOU*****SOPHIA B.

Nice man at the station, but he did not speak English and did not check the vehicle, mileage or gas level. He told me to take pictures . I also ordered an extra piece if equipment that I had to load myself. It would be good to complete everything online at this site. I used this location because it is close to my home. The check in process took almost 15 minutes, this after I had already done an online check in. The cashier counter at a convenience store/gas station is not the most appealing place to conduct business. The man I interacted with at the location spoke very little English making communication difficult. I'm not really sure why I had to pick up the truck at this remote rental site when there was an actual UHaul facility just a short distance away. The truck was mostly clean with the exception of the cargo compartment. I had to sweep the compartment before loading belongings because there were wood shavings in the back of the truck.Joseph F.
There was trash in the cab and a nasty looking stain of something sticky in the cup holder when I was given the truck. After quite a long wait processing my reservation, (even after I had already entered everything online) the fuel line was marked higher than it should have been at the start (marked at the 5/8th line when it was actually only 3/8ths full). I had to go in and ask the nice lady to help me out by verifying this, which took extra time I didn't have. I almost missed my storage unit closing time. When I returned, the gas pump there showed $2.99/ga but charged me for $3.99 with no warning. I was so short on time I didn't want to argue it but it felt like being intentionally ripped off - just like the gas level on the sheet. I returned the truck several hours early because I lost so much time during check-in that I was unable to load everything into the van before my storage unit closed. The man I returned the truck to in the evening did not speak well enough English to communicate with me verbally but he was kind as well and we got on with hand gestures. He did not wear his mask over his mouth and nose - most of the time it was around his neck. He coughed a loud, mucusy smokers' cough into the store without a mask on when we was right behind me walking out to go have a cigarette. The store is a disorganized mess where everything is shelved randomly. Very nice people but the service could have been much better. All in all I was able to rent the truck and get the largest items into the storage unit but it was more difficult than it should have been and I missed getting all my items. I will now have to rent a van to get the rest tomorrow and will rent from a different location.Mercedes M.
Unit was dirty, sticky, and smelled. I did not receive the hand truck, that I reserved. When I asked about it, I received just a blank stair. I originally reserved the unit from a different location, but received a call 48 hours before to pick up at this location. The unit performed perfectly, just as expected. I could not understand the man in the store. I had to talk to the wife over the telephone because â€œshe was the one that handled the paperworkâ€ When returning the trailer there was no place to park it. The man asked me to drive around the back of the building. I had to get the neighboring business to move a car because the trailer could not make the turn with the vehicles behind the building. Again the man asked me to drop the trailer in a place it would not fit. He started trying to direct me waving his hands in odd gestures (not normal signaling) asked me to again try to pull the trailer through another area where it was not possible for it to fit. Trick fit through fine but trailer was to wide and would have either hit another U-Haul truck or concrete stand for a car vacuum. I ended up just telling the man to take care of the trailer himself and dropped it in the parking lot.Jessica R.

The entire rental process was a cluster from beginning to end. The only part that went well was from after I picked up the truck to the moment I drove into the parking lot at the return location. Both locations and the one I never went to were unorganized and poorly run.Paul R.
The owner of the business was not present and the gas/store attendant could not help me. I had to wait 30 minutes for the owner(s) to arrive. When they arrived they proceeded to tell me that I received an email with a key number and that I should have just taken the key from the counter. I let them know that I pre-paid, but did not do a mobile check in; therefore I did not receive an email with a key number. They had me take the truck without any paperwork, miles, fuel level, or vehicle inspection. I took pictures of everything becuase I was leary. It was a very upsetting experience and delayed the move out time for my daughter. One staff member, Manuel, tried to assist me to the best of his ability and was very kind.Michele M.
This establishment was horrible. The clerk double charged me. We drove the truck 7 miles total and they charged us for cleaning. The man was rude and did not give any verification/reciept etc. This store should not bemused by UHaul as a service.Sara H.
This was worse experience Of renting a U-Haul which I thought would be great since it was very convenient and close to where I live. But it was not convenient in the least. I went to this vendor three times same day, and finally I got to rent a U-Haul the worker was not friendly or considerate of my time and long time waiting.... I will not rent from this uhaul vendor again nor will I recommend this vendor. I will rent elsewhere...Aurora N.
