I reserved a truck at uhaul's website- mistake number one. Evidently, the rental locations don't know anything about computers, using computers, or their own company website and software. The guy at the store was completely clueless. I was told on the site that I could save $87.00 by bringing the truck back to Wyoming instead of dropping it in Colorado. That didn't make sense to me, but it was confirmed by the nice lady from UHaul who called to confirm my reservation. When I brought the truck back, I was basically told that they knew nothing about what I was told and I would have to pay for the mileage that was added by bringing it back. I was out half a day and had to pay $80.00 on top of the $87.00 I was supposed to save. I'm usually smart enough not to get screwed twice, but somehow U-Haul was able to do it without me having to do repeat business with them.

We reserved a truck a week or more in advance to be sure we obtained the size truck we wanted and for the time we needed. The truck was not available. We received a call later in the day that we could rent the size truck we needed at another location but WE had to have it back the next day and we were not even going to have the truck for 24 hours.

The gentleman on Saturday was not familiar with the computer software and over charged me. We were there over 45 minutes with him on the phone to correct it and to get the first order cancelled and re- ordering. My bank card no has two charges on it for a one day rental. This does not make customers happy!

Truck was dirty. Windshield needed cleaning. Inside was dirty. Gave me Transport without working blinkers it brake lights, suggesting I call roadside assistance.

Two months prior to our move we called the closest Uhaul location to reserve a pickup, we're we're advised to simply walk in on the day of. I don't know if it was maliciousness or ignorance on the part of the Uhaul representative, but that caused the rate to go up by 400.00, and we had to visit three different locations to find a truck large enough that was not already reserved, and we're unable to get the size of truck we had planned on. Always get a second opinion, and reserve early.
