Didnâ€™t seem to have many vehicles for rent.
The representative that helped us with picking up the key & explaining everything was very helpful & nice. We told her about all the scratches, dents & upholstery damages before we left. We returned the truck after hours, so I called to check on it the next Mon. That's when I was told we were billed an extra $25 for cleaning. We had checked that the truck was clean, so I objected but U Haul didn't budge. I will never rent from them again!

Stop overcharging for a cleanup charge. I called the location and the young lady couldnâ€™t even tell me what was not cleaned. I feel this is their way of making an extra profit on the trucks.
Should have sufficient staff if a customer arranges on line and fills out everything on line that they do not have to wait on another customer that arrives after them to fill out their paperwork before you get the trailer. One person doing it all does not allow for a quick pick up. Should offer some credit back if you return the trailer nearly 20 hours before due.
No check of equipment performed.
To be fair: The rental process was easy. The truck was available on the spot. The problem: I even mopped the back of the truck, I don't understand why they charged me a cleaning fee for $25.00 That is disappointing, will look for another U-haul location next month.
Uhaul Corporate and its practices in renting were awful. The worst experience I have had yet. And on top of that I am being billed incorrectly. Please provide a phone number for the corporate office so that I can call and have my billing adjusted.

Stop ripping off the after hours drop off customers. I was told the truck was left dirty when we had a broom with us, and made sure to sweep it out after we were finished. We ended up being charged an extra $25 dollars for a truck sweep.
DO NOT use the Uhaul location on Brombay Court in Chesapeake unless you want to pay hidden fees. I rented a cargo van on Saturday and just got a receipt showing my actual charges were almost double the estimated quote at rental. To my surprise a $20 after hours charge was added because I didnâ€™t use the mobile app to check the van in upon return ( mins you this was NEVER mentioned or highlighted at all when I signed the paper) and a $25 cleaning fee to seep our the van. I used the van to move 1 piece of wrapped furniture and only went 16 miles round trip. When I called to dispute the charges, Brittany/Brandy told me there was a â€œstickerâ€ on the back door of the van stating the cleaning fee. I looked the contact over several times and NOWHERE does it state a cleaning fee that I authorized. To make matters worse, she told me they â€œsweep out the dirtâ€ when returned. How can you get dirt in a van you use with wrapped furniture!!??? Next, the $20 mobile check in fee is something Brittany/Brandy NEVER mention Iâ€™d highlighted or mention on my contract before I accepted the van. Although, She took time to highlight Equipment number, gas level and renting local. She as tells me that stick is on the door too??. What she did say was my rental was for 24 hours and when I brought the van back and if they were closed just put the keys in the after hours slot. I truly believe that this location is setting people up for these illegal extra fees just to make money. If you have experienced this with Uhaul, please contact me because there needs to be a lawsuit. Iâ€™m sure Iâ€™m not the only one who has paid these fees and not aware or authorized for them especially that cleaning fee. By the way, Iâ€™ve rented from them in the past without these fees plus I just rented a 10â€™ truck from another location in Norfolk VA in July and these fees were NOT included. I told her this and all she said was â€œ we have stickers on the van?? I am part of a family business and would never treat my customers like this. Tell the WHOLE story when you rent to customers.
Do not come to this location! They charge for anything! I got charged $25 for a a little fuzz balls in the back of the truck. Itâ€™s in the cut and needs to stay there. They donâ€™t even wanna assist you they want you to the mobile app. To lazy fat ass pigs!
They were not willing to be very helpful, had a "We just rent It, call UHaul if you have any issues or questions" attitude
Be on time. My rental was for 8:00 am and they didn't open until 9:15. No one sent me the lock box code for the key to the truck.
I had trouble with the app that slowed down our morning, but we were able to make up time after a call. I really think itâ€™s not fair to charge extra mileage to 22 minutes into Suffolk when the pick up location was miles closer, you need to look into this. All the personal were great and very accommodating. Use you guys for years, please check the extra mileage thing, seems like your charging folks to manage your fleet at our costs.
This is the second time I have rented from this location and given that my organization The Mission Continues does a lot of business with Uhaul across the United States, I have been overcharged or had additional fees tacked on to my contract each time. As with the first time I looked at it as an oversight but to be overcharged again it a little concerning of this location practices.
Very close & convenient. Personnel is always pleasant and efficient.
Posted hours for the office were 9:00AM, but didn't open until 9:30AM. Not a big deal for me since I had time, but could be problematic for future customers.
BAIT AND SWITCH HERE! Location charged 25% higher than the contracted on-line amount. Said there was nothing they could do, "That's what they gave us" when he processed the contract ON OUR ARRIVAL. Turns out his processing wiped out the on-line figures - I checked in his presence. BEWARE!
Takes to much money. They charge me one piece and and 3 days later charge me, 87$ more dollars, I wouldn't dare go back here again......

Go 24/7 , like most moving experiences are. I couldn't tell anyone about returning the equipment because it's after hours, or a weekend . Having no computer, and not being tech savvy, I felt isolated. But the equipment performed flawlessly.
Business closes at 4pm which does support working people.
