When I booked a 15' truck online I specifically chose not to get accident/damage insurance. The person at the counter informed me that the policy had changed and now I need to either take the U-Haul insurance package or prove my auto insurance policy would cover any loss. Rather than going through the hassle of "proving" anything, I bought the insurance coverage for $14/day. I have rented from U-Haul many times before and never encountered this situation. Totally unnecessary and manipulative!

Fix this problem: The "SafeMove" coverage was forced on my contract. Neither that I chose this option when I booked online, nor that there is any text showing this coverage is required. The staff at this office failed to resolve the issue with whoever they contacted over the phone.

We dropped off the vehicle before 6pm on 11-Nov, as promised in our reservation, putting the keys and our rental agreement in the provided box. We were charged for an additional day by this location, which we think was unfair. Our return was not recorded until 11:37am on 12-Nov, even though the truck had clearly been in the lot overnight. This experience will make us reluctant to rent from U-Haul again.

I reserved a furniture dolly. None was available at the location. They blame UHaul for not getting them one. I would not have reserved if I had known I wouldn’t get the gear that was promised.

We were suppose to drop the uhaul off on 9/3 but this location was closed on 9/2 (when we first tried to drop it off) and they were closed on 9/3. There was no location to drop the key off during closed hours. And we were charged an extra day for having the truck despite t not being our fault we had it an extra day. We were told by the uhaul store in Brookline we would have been fine dropping it off at that location on those days.

We didn’t add safemove service. Please refund it because it is automatically charged. Also, the staff at PackNMail had a very very bad attitude. She clearly had not renewed the system and insisted that our reservation does not exist in the system! She doesn’t admit any of her miss and had us waited for nearly an hour. All of our friends who help us to move we’re also waiting. This is a completely annoying, upset, absurd experience. We will give you very bad review on the Google map and Yelp.

I was contacted by the person at Pac N Mail to confirm the 8:00am pickup. Nothing was mentioned about the facility not opening until 10:00 so we had to call UHaul and go through the mobile app to get the key to the truck. But first of all, I drove over to another UHaul location to try and get a truck before even knowing about the mobile app. It was really frustrating to assume I could pick up the truck at 8:00am not knowing about the store hours, nor the mobile app. The whole process set us back one hour and 20 minutes. Not happy.

I made a reservation weeks in advance for a 15 foot truck and a furniture dolly. I called 3 days before the reservation to confirm and verify that everything would be there, and they assured me it would be. I showed up and not only did they not have the furniture dolly, they didn’t even have a truck for me. They ended up giving me a 26 foot truck (which was way too big and horrible to drive) and it was given to me with no gas. The next lady to walk in wasn’t so fortunate, they had not truck for her either. Absolutely terrible. Second bad experience I’ve had with them.

One of the tires was severely under inflated so we wasted a lot of time (and miles) looking for a gas station with an air pump. Then we were charged for 6 moving pads that we never got or rented. Finally, our bill was almost $100 more than it should have been.

The location and Joyce was great. However, the charges were more than expected, ran into issue with town only when it was specific that we were going to Fredericksburg VA, uhaul admin gave Joyce a runaround on who to contact about changing this, so I am not happy with uhaul in general.
