I made a reservation for 1pm 10-13-17 at this location. The reservation was made weeks in advance. At 12:12pm on 10-13-17 I get a call from University City Tires stating they close from 12:30-2:30 so I would have to come before 12:30 or after 2:30. I rushed to get to University City Tires arriving at 12:31 calling them twice on my way to let them know my ETA and status. I have movers lined up for 1pm so could not wait till after 2:30pm. I was able to pick up U-Haul truck. The workers at University City Tires were clearly in a hurry to leave. I confirmed with them I needed 12 blankets and a appliance dolley and the $14 coverage. They told me blankets and dolley was in truck. I went and checked truck, there were no blankets or dolley in truck. I went back to office to inform them and they were gone already. I ended up calling U-Haul Customer Service. Not pleased with how University City Tires conducts business.

Make sure that cabs of the truck are clean not dirty and sticky. And make sure the trucks don’t need front end alinemet

My appliance dolly was not in the truck. It cost us time and money to find another appliance dolly. Also, during my self-return I was charged for an extra day and for gas when I replaced the gas used. I had to take time once again to contact U-haul customer service to fix the problem. My experience with customer service was great. The gentleman took care of the problem for me. I would use U-haul again, maybe just not that facility or the self-check out/return.

The back of the van was looked as if it had not been swept by the previous renter. Inside, the cabin smelled like cigarette smoke, the floors had not been swept and the the dashboard was quite dusty. The van operated fine, which was great; would have liked to have seen the inside more clean. Cigarette smoke bothers my allergies and the smell lingered in my hair afterwards.

Wasn't advised that the store would be closed on a regular business day; luckily I knew how to unhitch the trailer-however it was heavy and I was a woman alone. I managed it but then I had to check in online and I had a poor internet signal. Not how i wanted to spend my time after having just moved furniture.

The reservation information NEEDS to be CLEAR and more informative. I reserved the truck at one location and then I received 2 phone calls telling me it would be at a different location with a text message just before time to pick the truck up for a 3rd location ONLY when I called I was told to go to the second location I got there to find out I needed to go to the 3rd location. the on site people where the truck was located were very nice and said people come in cursing them for being sent to multiple locations. I am NOT upset at the people where the trucks are located,BUT I am upset at U-Haul for NOT being more clear and for not providing actual phone numbers where the trucks are so you can call rather than use up 1/4 tank of gas driving miles to find out the truck was only 10 min from my house to begin with. Especially when I called U-Haul and was told where the truck was as I was driving out of my driveway ONLY to get there to find out it was NOT there and NEVER had been. It took longer to find the truck than it did to load the truck

This location was further from my house than the location I had chosen when I reserved the truck. It would have been helpful if U-Haul had moved the truck to my preferred location rather than me having to drive further to pick up the truck.

This is a very convenient location to the UNCC campus and I rented a truck the week after local off-campus housing has to be moved out. I suspect that's why I got a truck that was dirty both in the cab and in the box. The truck WAS well maintained and the staff helpful and friendly.

Stafff was very nice, however the corner cap was torn in the cab and had tape over it. I only discovered this after removing wet boxes from the truck. It was in my paperwork but it would have been nice of the staff to mention it. Nothing was damaged just friendly feedback.

First of all, we were supposed to pick up in Concord, NC and they changed it on Monday. Second, the provider did not hook up the trailer, we did. Third, he never asked if we wanted the $45.00 "safe tow". We were quoted $112.00 from Concord. I specifically asked about insurance and they said there were NO extra charges. I did not notice this extra charge until we were home. I called and complained and received an email that I cannot be refunded my money because it has to be done within and hour of renting the trailer. The lights did not work right on the trailer either. I am extremely disappointed in uhaul's service.

The scheduling team over the phone is terrible and messed up my reservation causing me to show up and there not be a truck. This location was good but the people over the phone are terrible.
