Ensure trash, isn't present in the vehicle, passenger floorboards and door area, we retured the van in better cleanliness then we received it in. Grossness!
The only issue I came across was that the furniture pads I had rented were not in the truck, but I was refunded and all was well!
I planned to drop off truck after hours Sunday according to directions. Big sign on door stating no longer accepting Uhaul. Left truck and kept keys. I returned in the morning at stated business opening. Counter person said they were no longer accepting returns. I showed her the paperwork with return address highlighted. Finally, she relented. I was alone and had no other driver with me.
I drove 20 miles and they charged me for driving 100 miles. Not sure if the lady recording mileage just doesn't know how to count or if there was a mishandling of record taking between previous renter and myself. Either way, it is clearly a lapse in management of renting. I would never recommend someone to this store and if you do go there I forewarn that you triple check everything.
Faster customer assistance when walking in.
Although told the truck was full of gas it was not. The air conditioner did not blow cold air at its highest speed. No back up camera like the previous truck.

When I returned the UHaul Truck, I tried to talk with the lady and she acted as if she had no time to listen to me. I had a seat belt that did not work, it was wrapped around the head of the passenger seat so tight we could not get it loose, so my passengers had NO SEAT BELT FOR 10 HOURS DRIVE. Not good! I took pictures to show her and she had no interest. I also rented moving blankets from a separate location with a seperate contract and tried to tell her and she again had no interest. She acteed too busy to even talk to me. I returned the truck, she said it was good, but I'm confident she had no clue what I told her. It was close to where I moved so I returned it there, but in future probably would have driven an extra 15 miles to make sure I was heard.
The back of the truck was dirty when I picked it up. I was charged for mileage even though I put more than enough gas in the truck before I returned it and when I needed help returning the truck the woman at this business told me to leave the keys and she would check it out "later". Not helpful at all and overall a bad experience. Will not be looking to uhaul for their services in the future and will not recommend.

Dropping off the car using the phone app was easy. However, there was no drop-box available to return the vehicle key. I left the key in the visor of the vehicle.
We. We're not told no ramp.in 10 ft truck.we weren't aware till we reached ordestination..I paid 123.00..gor 11 mole one way ..way too expensive..also called only got a message .no return call so we had to go there..person was on computer .clearly was aware we had called ...I felt we were way overcharged n under informed..no ramp .was.a nightmare .extremely heavy appliances..I felt we should be compensated ..in full..at this moment we would never recvomned uhaul..sorrydenise liotti
None of the material I ordered were available. I also did not book this location and was not notified of the change. so this delayed my move by 1.5 hours after waiting in line at the uhaul location I actually booked. not using uhual again.
This location was unprepared for my arrival. Although I had registered online ahead of time, I could tell the representative for U-Haul was just seeing my Oder for the first time. Thankfully the truck was there but it was not clean. The hand trucks and furniture dolly I had ordered online were not there and were not available. The reps solution was for me to call the 1-800 number to help her try to find the equipment I needed. After a 30 minute on hold wait to Uâ€”Haul I was told the equipment I had already ordered online could only be found at one of their locations 30 minutes away. We wasted a lot of time chasing down equipment that should have been provided as requested online. The online registration is obviously a waste of time.
I have rented two 10' trucks in the past 30 days to move my twin college graduates to cities 225 miles away. The first truck was great. The second truck was more difficult. The mirrors were poorly adjusted and seemingly impossible to budge to correct the problem. The engine was less responsive. I am not wholly dissatisfied and would use UHaul again, but you asked me.
We called this morning after finding out that Lowes was no longer renting trucks due to the pandemic. I have waited in way too many long lines at the King Street location over the past 20 years in Charleston. We decided to give the James Island location a try. The staff at 911 Service was friendly, and the whole process was both cost effective and time efficient. Thank you!

Put a sign on the store front I drove by location twice. Finally stopped and called to find out where they were.
Stood in rental pick up office for over 5 minutes before I asked for assistance. Handed me the keys and said, "You're good to go"! No written existing damage report, did not get a copy of my drivers license. Opened bag of half eaten roasted almonds on the floor.
