We were over charged by 100 miles. Our daughter reported yesterday on this site, and email sent to her stated that they would have chapel hill storage check on this today. Our calls to them before they closed at 1pm today went to voice mail. our call to customer service via 1800 468 4285 was never answered after waiting on hold for 10 minutes. Listened to at least 30 repeated instructions to use this online review. Please don’t make us have to do any more inquiries for your mistake and credit our $100 over charge as soon as possible.

We had to drive all the way to Chapel Hill to return our truck and trailer and when we got there they were closed!! Closed at 1:00 pm. Then we had to go on Uhaul website to return it and it said it was going to charge us a bunch more money because the Uhaul was late when it was actually two days early. We were supposed to get a call from a Uhaul representative but never did. The truck leaked on the driver every time it rained, he was soaked and not happy at all. Would not recommend Uhaul to anyone!

I was issued the wrong vehicle and have not been able to contact someone to rectify the situation. I asked the employee several times if the vehicle issued was the right size I had requested and was told yes. The employee said he was new there.

i was over billed on my emailed receipt for this transaction. I sent an email requesting a reimbursement of the 10$ fee as I declined this both on line and in person yet was charged anyway. I have not heard back from anyone .

The van I ordered originally was behind a locked gate. I don't know if that was because I ordered it after the office was closed, or what the reasoning for that was, but I ended up having to spend more money to get a bigger vehicle that was available.

I never received information or a link to pick up the truck during non-staffed hours. When calling customer service, it took over 30min to reach someone, by which time we had driven to another UHaul location to find assistance. One of the women there was VERY helpful and connected us directly to a regional manager (Steve) who was also extremely helpful. He had us go back to the original location and walked me through the process and fixed everything very quickly over the phone. Steve and the associate at the Durham location (off 15-501) certainly saved the day! Customer service was certainly willing to help when we finally got ahold of someone (I do not recall her name, unfortunately). She noted that there was a $50 rental guarantee that I could call back and confirm, but I am not sure I want to wait on hold that long again!

I had booked a pickup van for 7.30 am but when I arrived and tried to log-in online, I was re-routed to the Area Manager. He was unavailable for a while and when I called up customer care, I was informed that the customer before me hadn't returned the truck hence they did not have a truck for me. I was asked to wait for an hour atleast to know if a truck could be available. THIS IS ABSURD! And then approximately half hour later, the Area Manager responded and informed that he has upgraded me from a Pick up Van to a Truck. I had to pay extra for the mileage. Moreover, your odometer is skewed as it runs faster compared to the maps. Overall, I feel like extra money was taken off me- both through an upgrade that I did not want and has to pay for plus through the fast odometer. I will not recommend U Haul.

We dropped the truck off a day early after hours at a 24 hours drop off as listed on our contract We tried calling numerous times on Mon and Tues to confirm the truck was checked in. After calling UHaul headquarters, the truck was accepted. But we were charged 2 days late fee and insurance. We called and finally got ahold of the drop off site and they said that They would “try” to correct the overcharge but it could take up to a week. This is unacceptable. We told them that we will be disputing the charge with our credit card company if it is not reversed in 24 hours. We will still use Uhaul when needed, but will not use this drop off point again. Very disappointing.

hours are from nine to one.....did not go in to judge cleanliness or the personnel.....this makes it very difficult when returning a unit....had to call uhaul about gas, condition in which i left the vehicle,etc. I have always had a representative available when returning a vehicle....a negative.....also, i received a phone call to have the vehicle back by five as it was going to be picked up....was told after the fact that i had to set up an online account in order to do this.....glad i had internet access on my phone.....

I have never gotten a totally clean u-haul truck. I know it is not to be expected for such a cheap service, but the person who gave me the keys said they were surprised how dirty it was and they would clean it when I returned it. That doesn't help me. That shows me that they have the capability to clean it, but they didn't think to look before they rented it to me. It was unprofessional. I swept the truck out myself later so everything was fine.

The location I reserved was closed when I arrived. I had to use a location that was further away incurring more mileage. The back of the van was dirty. When I returned the van, the office was closed. I returned it same day yet invoice shows two days later. I was told that the fee for insurance would be removed to make up for extra mileage incurred. It was not. U-Haul just keeps getting worse and worse

The U-Haul website should list the inside dimension of the ramp, rather than the outside dimension of the ramp -- there is almost a 1.5" difference, which is very important for making sure that large heavy items with wheels would fit on the ramp.
