When I went to tge location there wasn't a Uhaul sign ans the trucks are parked at the back of the building so I ended up driving in cirles looking for the pick up location. :(

The black guy who seemingly was the only employee at the store that day, greeted me with a stupid and not funny Asian joke. Then he proceeded to give me terrible directions/instructions on which vehicle mine was. Lastly, the odometer reading was off by 9 miles but I was in a rush so I just ate the $20.

It doesn’t seem safe for females to drop off the truck after dark. Had to wait till morning, which was just inconvenient. Maybe better lighting would have helped.

Man at the counter barely spoke English and had no idea what he was doing. I literally had to walk him through the rental program on the computer to get my trailer. His incompetence caused a long line of disgruntled people. The lady in front of me was given a truck with no fuel in it. My trailer was not dirty, but it was not maintained. Never send me there again!

Location was incredibly hard to find, no signs indicating a uhaul location on the building or street. Called to let them know we'd be late but no one ever answered. Once we finally found it we had to wait another 30 minutes before anyone came to help us. Please go to the other location in chantilly, it will save you a lot of stress.

For Online check out, please provide more instruction on how to retrieve the key and include a picture of picture of the lock in the back of the door. I was searching and searching and I need to get a the person from the front office to help me out. It could have been avoided. Secondly, you need to provide the instruction as part of online checkout itself saying that the online check ins possible and give some on how to do it, like taking picture of fuel gauge and so. I dropped the key at the front office and then realized that I could have done online itself. thanks

They charged us for gas even though our truck was adequately filled. There was no confirmation email concerning our mystery charge. Even though we originally had to wait over 5 hours for our original reservation they claimed we dropped the truck off late at 1:15 when we should have had until 3:00.

We were charged a fuel fee when we filled up the tank to the level at which we had received it (only a quarter tank).

Service was slow and unhelpful. They did not have the reserved equipment for myself, nor the customer ahead of or behind me. I was promised a $50 credit that was not reflected in the bill, and I was charged for items that were never explained to me. After receiving a vehicle that I did not reserve, I found that the correct size was sitting in the back parking lot, but was denied access to it. I would absolutely never recommend this location to someone else and will seek other options for moving equipment in the future.

Equipment was fine except about six of the pads were wet and could not be used on wood furniture. Also location only had 30 pads And we had requested and paid for 3 dozen. Truck and other equipment were fine.

My original reservation got moved to a different location and 2 hours later than I originally planned. Then when I to my new pick up location, they told me they did not have a truck that I could use. I was quite surprised and not happy. I called the number that they gave me for customer service (202-255-1425); no one picked up or has called me back since I made that phone call. I asked the gentleman working what he suggests I do since no one picked up or called me back and he said that location did not have a truck I could use. He had to call his boss and see if he could find a truck for me. By this time it was about 3 hours later than I originally had wanted to be getting going with moving. The guy told me they had an in-town truck I could use. I had requested a one way truck since I was moving about an hour away and did not want to take up over 2 hours of driving on an already busy moving day. At this point, I did what I had to do. I had to move out of my place that day. So I agreed that I would return the truck to that location. So I was 3 hours late getting my move started, and now I have to take another 2 hours out of the day to bring the truck back AND I’m expected to pay for the return mileage. My original reservation was for 7am and one way. Now I have wasted time and now money so I can bring back this truck when my original reservation for 7am and one way rental. When I made my initial reservation, U-Haul confirmed that my selections were valid and what I asked for was available. Clearly this is NOT what I had planned for that morning. I am SO NOT happy with how things turned out. I have had a great experience with U-Haul up until that day. I would like to be refunded for all of this inconvenience, at least my return mileage. I will never recommend that pick up location to anyone and I'm so disappointed and frustrated with how this experience with your company turned out.

On the application the pick up process was well documented and straight forward. However when you do the drop off, the application doesn't mention what to do with the keys and the lock. I knew to leave it as I found it and relock all the doors and leave the keys in the cabin with the combination lock on the door.

The only negative comment we have is that there were hand written notes on the back of our contract that described existing damage that may cause a water leak and that "customer accepts the risk of water damage." This was never pointed out to us and we definitely never agreed to accept the risk of water damage! Good thing we did not have any.

No one was at the office when we arrived to pick up the Uhaul. Had to wait almost 15 minutes for someone to come in. I only drove the Uhaul 15.4 miles total and they charged me for 66.0 miles. I've tried calling the office, but no one will answer.

The employees were not aware of my presence so I had to get their attention. The UHaul person was not there and the employee who assisted me did not know how to handle the matter. She asked me to leave my name and number in case the UHaul manager had questions. I was returning a rented dolly that I forgot to put in the truck when I returned it the night before.

Main reservation line(nationwide) had me going to Twi different locations for a truck and dolly/pads. Luckily the truck location had pads.
